@@sparkiegaz3613 the 85 inch Bravia 9 is tempting as I'm currently looking at the 77 inch G4. I need to see the Bravia 9 in person to see if the viewing angles are good enough for multiple viewing.
Bravia 9 is ~9ms in 120hz gaming. Don't make it sound like it can't do better than 17ms. It's very smooth and I have zero issues with it. I tried the S95B and I can't tell any difference in how it handles. This XR90 85" is amazing. Big and in content I don't see blooming but just bright HDR and crystal clear 4K image.
Brian, Still blown away my brother. You do it in one take and no one can do it better my friend. FOMO, great content and energy. Bri, keep on building that community-so proud of you-love you my Brother.
Bravia 9, 85 inches, 50 field of view, 6'7 feet away on a sofa which is as long as the TV will the people sitting at the end be fine or will they start to lose colour? Cheers, awesome video! The hype is real!
Borderline, you may start seeing blooming at 40+ degree angle and some color desaturation. I sit 7.8 feet away from my TV, and wanted the B9 85" but it has not released where I am. Always had the worry of offangle viewing, especially after witnessing the X95K offangle viewing being bad (similar scores with B9 on Rtings). Got the G4 83" instead, and can rest in peace. It is also the better overall TV, and with it the measurements do not matter, it is nearly as bright as the B9, and in dark scenes brighter due to pixel level brighness control.
So what is the best tv in the 98-100” range? No oleds, i don’t have 20k to spend. Im coming from a projector and for me that is the minimum size I’m willing to go back to. QM8? U8K? QNED89? X90L? Or the new UX?
@@a1blues do you have the 65 A90J? I had that and then went to 77 S90C. The Samsung panel is amazing, but their processing for 24p film content is no where close to Sony. It’s just something you can immediately feel and see when watching a 1080p Blu-ray, with the motion and upscaling detail. I’ve never seen film grain in general look as good as it does on the B9.
@@a1blues HDR impact? 85 B9 100%. Black levels are basically indistinguishable from OLED as long as you’re not viewing off-angle from the side. I’ve only owned oleds since around 2016, so it’s pretty crazy how good this is for an LCD.
@@Hamza-yu1ur Yeah thanks for your help. It sounds like it must be a good tv and with very little draw backs compared to when I last owned a lcd tv. If you have come from oled too then you obviously must have a good idea if there was any draw backs to the b9. Cheers.
went and saw the Bravia 8 today and a95l and g4 and c4 out of all of them i really liked the colors on bravia 8 tv . a 95l was amazing but cost as much as a car and g4 really nice. Bought 65 inch bravia 8 over the C4 just amazing details on the sony tv. First new tv since 2013 .
Agree, the cost of the A95L Sony is prohibitive. To be honest it’s the only TV I think is amazing. At least LG always have sales and I think they’re good value for money.
Fomo isn't allowed to comment on the Bravia 9 until he spends time with the 85" I just got back from Best Buy comparing the B9 85 against the A95L 77 and I'm more confused than I was before I started.
@@rayenwoomed5323 yes if you went WAY off angle. I don't have a use case with ultra wide seating. With a 3 person couch and end chairs on both sides NOBODY would lose in my home with an 85" If you have one of them huge 3 sided mega-couches that can host both movie night and the United Nations, those fools on the very end will lose but, why in hell are you trying to watch tv from the very outer edge.
I'm in Australia and they don't sell the 65 inch Bravia 9, the 75 inch is ($6,995 AUD). I ended up going for the 65 inch G4 which was on special for $3,300 ($2,400 USD) couldn't justify spending and extra $3,600 AUD for the Bravia 9 I know it's a 75 inch but for that price not worth it for me. You guys are amazing. I am an Italian living in Rome, I always watch your videos and you are a godsend. I had to change my LG 55C9 with another 55 inch top of the range 2024. I was very hesitant between Samsung S95D and LG C4. The high-end Panasonic and Sony in Italy are too expensive, or at least they are for me😊. Thanks to you I decided to get an LG 55G4 for € 1536, this morning it arrived and wow, a truly spectacular TV. 3D image, crazy brightness, excellent colors, fabulous gaming mode and motion perhaps even superior to the Sony one. What else to say guys, thank you so much and keep it up. You are great👍
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY How could BRIAN not, it's a fantastic TV. From the C9 to the G4 the leap is huge. It's also excellent out of the box and I don't think I'll even calibrate it.
Coming from a 2017 Samsung 60" LCD, I only stream, sports and Blu-ray, NO GAMING and I'm in the tropics with five 5' windows in my living room. I also don't watch TV in the dark - minimum is with ambient light. My room size is 13' x 13 - no off angle issues expected. I will be buying the 85'' Sony Bravia 9. This choice is based on the wisdom I got from you both - consider ones "Use Case". Thanks a million FOMO and Brian. Big up yaself sametime!!
Hi guys so QN900d is rated ? I disagree that the lack of front screen bezel makes it look not as big. I think it looks amazing the black frames always makes it look too "framed".
Anyone in the 65 A95L club or considering a 65 A95L. I recently completed my Audio setup have the HTA 7000, SW3, and RS3 rear speakers. Just wow is all I can say. Really adds to the setup especially with DV Vision and DV ATMOS movies, also PS5 games are insane. If you get the tv and can open box or find sales on the equipment especially the HTA 7K with the new bars being out. This is a fantastic setup. I also feel the A95L should be in consideration at 65-77. Also I could see this equipment being great still with the Bravia 9. Like they mentioned you could definitely be in the 85 Bravia 9 and the audio for less than the 83 G4. I was able to get my HTA 7000, SW3, RS3s for 1200-1300 total. Yeah I definitely bought the 7000 open box and being friends with a BestBuy employee from my time as Sony VPL last year helped with the SW3 and RS3 discount .
Watch comparison videos. It’s not that different. G4s colors are bright, brilliant, clear, deep and lifelike. If you want more saturated get a QDOLED but don’t let color hold you back from G4. You just heard both these guys pick it for their #1…
I acknowledge that the Z3 is much more expensive, but at the upcoming shootout, many of us would very much appreciate it if both of you would describe your reaction to it in comparison with the winner of the 4K models. Last year, it really helped that Brian stuck around and did a comparison of the A95L to the Z2, mentioning that he preferred the Z2, except for its price.
Which is the best out of the following: - Samsung S90D OLED - Samsung S90C OLED - LG C3 OLED - Samsung S95D OLED My decision is to go with the C3 65" It'll be mainly used for gaming on the PS5 and watching films and TV shows, RUclips, etc. But I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. 🙂
Honestly G4 is great tv, mine is 55 inch but I hate tinting more than vertical banding (jail bars). WHY LG CANT MAKE MODEL WITH QD OLED PANEL WHY? It would be great product with clean panel. WHY LG!?
Not seen Sonys TVs but would think easily S95D, it’s really no match in a dim/ dark room but lights/daylights I take a guess Bravia 8 and 9 show the better side.
Hi, my living room has a window right next to the TV and 3 windows opposite of the TV. Those 3 windows are on the south side, so it is a bright room. What TV would you recommend? Should I go for the matte Samsung or still go for a glossy screen?
I'm curious if I could go from my 77 A80J to the 85 Bravia 9. I don't know if I would miss the micro contrast of OLED which really made my A80J a huge upgrade over the X900F
I have always wanted a 83 inch oled tv, and i finnaly got a sony 83a90j for only 2600€. An open box with a small mark in the bottom right of the screen on the ar coating, but not affecting the image quallity. Fantastic TV.
I am with FOMO. I would go with the Bravia 9 if it weren't for viewing angles. Because I have about 7 viewers during movie night, I have to stick with OLED. So, the G4 would be my pick because we watch streaming and low-bitrate content 75% of the time.
I'm still taking the A95L. Classy's video with the meter shows blow for blow brightness between the G4 and the A95L but the G4 can NEVER beat QD-OLED color.
I know you said you would like a more cinematic game mode for Bravia 9. I just got it in this Wednesday (immediately had to leave to visit family till today). Would you recommend against hooking pc up and playing like elden ring in cinema mode or professional??
I ordered the Bravia 9 because of my use case (bright room, no gaming, an older 85“ Sony already in use) I brought it in Germany for 3.899€ including 500€ Cash back from Sony. The price for the G4 83“ is more than 5.000€ currently
I’d like to see a match up between the Sony Bravia 9 VS the Samsung QN900D. My real world usage is lots of cable which would need up scaling from 720p or 1080p, I stream shows and movies on Netflix, Disney +, Max, and Amazon, I also game on PC and PlayStation 5. I think these TVs both have great features and capabilities, but which one is better?
For me, it comes down to use case. After much research, it came down to: 1) S95D 2) A95L 3) LG Z3 4-A) S95C/S90D 4-B) G4 5) QN900D 6) Bravia 9 7) QM8 or possible U9N I completely wrote off the S95D initially due to a horrendous amount of negative reviews by reviewers. It took months of additional research and comparisons to even consider it again, let alone select it as what is best for me. This took months of exhaustive research and comparisons.
@gosman949 So exhaustive that it gave me burnout. Everything on that list is stupid amazing. All incredible. The S95D was my selection because of my use case where I game a ton. I can see my list being flipped to any of the others based on what use case others have
@gosman949 incredibly exhaustive. It was worth it, though I can see any of those sets being number #1 for anyone, depending on what they are looking for. My selection is not a claim of what is best overall. As such, a claim is subjective. it's just what is best for what I do.
I need a center stand if I get the A95L. Those pesky wide feet will not fit my stand. What say yee out there. What do you suggest that will hold the TV close to the stand?
@@MrUpscaleman negative on wall mounting. I have a custom stand and a custom rack for big time components. And this is so much more flexible than those gen-x wall mounts! haha
@gosman949 if it doesn't fit the tv then what are you gonna do? I've had to move on from old furniture to accommodate larger televisions several times, the I wall mounted it because that's the best option.
Great discussion guys! @stopthefomo- to your point around sound being the tipping factor between G4 and 95D… If I need a wall mount TV that is as flush as possible, and will use a great soundbar, in my living room with large windows … G4 or S95D ? I have the same use case as you and some PS5 - what would you recommend for me ? I’m just concerned about loosing the blacks that I absolutely love about OLED….
I'm still on the fence about the Sony A95L. I need a center stand though for my 42-inch tv stand. I'm hearing that the Amazon stands will raise the TV too high because of the placement of the VESA holes? Is this true and does anyone recommend a stand that will keep the TV stable and lower to the stand?
Hi. I'm using the comments to find out how I can get in touch with Brian and stop the FOMO. I've had my 85 inch Bravia 9 since June 22nd, and am really disappointed with a whole host of issues, from lack of optimal picture processing to audio sync issues. Sony has been useless, despite me having a phone conversation with our regional client/sales manager. I'm at my wits end.
Here is a summary of the issues to date: Anti reflection coating is very intrusive, and has a weird pattern that causes ghosting and haloing, even in a dark room. Brightness and local dimming is uncontrollable in SDR Audio sync via HDMI doesn't work, no matter what sync setting is used. I haven't had sync problems since the early nineties. For SDR content via HDMI, none of the presets present even the minimum of an adequate picture. Each preset is worse than the previous. Color is always inaccurate. And haloing happens in all presets. Streaming using the TV: The calibrated settings for Netflix and Amazon Prime are abysmal, even in the darkest of rooms. I've had to spend an inordinate amount of time to adjust picture for each movie or series as I watch, which is very disruptive to myself, my husband and others, hoping to just enjoy a show. Surprisingly, HBO Max has a calibrated mode, which actually is just about acceptable. I have unplugged and replugged TV, AV receiver multiple times with no improvement. So, I'm not sure if I have a bad TV or if this is an issue with this model. I have not heard back from Sony.
@@petercarberry470 I'm so sorry you're having these problems. B9 sounds so good in the reviews but these real use problems don't come to light until users like yourself report them. When you say sync problems since the early nineties. Is that with other Sony TVs ? I suspect there are enough B9's out there now that if these problems were very common then we'd be hearing about it by now. But it's hard to know. One of the reasons I've decided on the B9 is I've heard its audio is good enough for 95% of the time. I'm getting rid of my old AV system and not going to buy another. Want it simple so I don't have any the audio issues and multiple remotes etc. Please report back here with any updates with your B9.
@davevale7021 Hi. This is the first Sony that I've bought that has issues. AV sync issues were solved,or so I thought, when HDMI first came out. I was referring to my first HDTV, a Toshiba, which only had component video inputs!
I ordered the 77” LG M3 during 4th of July sale at BB and haven’t received it yet. Being wireless am I getting a compromised picture quality compared to the LG G4? I can still change my order so let me know please. Also am I missing quality being that Sony’s oleds are calibrated for Netflix and Google?
Hey, thanks you guys are very helpful. I’m trying to decide on my TV now anyways thank you very much. What question moneywise the C4 would be born in my price rate would I be happy with that thanks.
You would be more than happy with the C4 and couldn’t even tell what you’re missing from the G4. These guys are talking about the TOP DOG TVs. The C4 will still feel like a luxury.
I bought the G4, at RTINGS the G4 also came out as a better TV, and so I made the right choice. Why does no one ever talk about how a TV displays the color white, I think it is just as important as black. I think that most TVs display colors well. So who displays the color white best.
If you Like the TV you Bought then that is Outstanding. It Doesn't mean that you didn't pay too much for it. It also doesn't mean you wouldn't have enjoyed another TV Better if you had bought a different TV. Myself I am Not paying the Price you paid for a TV under 98 / 100 inches. Both TCL and Hisense have TV'S that are Much Better for the Price. Much more Immersive. Ratings are Paid Shills. It is Obvious that they are Paid Shills. All of these RUclipsrs are Pushing OLED TV'S and LG, Samsung, and Sony TV'S. They are Not Honest about the Flaws these TV'S have.
@@JesusSavesSinners so let me get this straight....do you think there's any difference between a 5000 Sony or LG vs. an 1800 Hisense or TCL? What a MORON comment. Some of us want a Ferrari, some of us want a Toyota Corolla. You think they are the same car. Hahahahahahahahaha.
I want to buy... a 83" G4 and i saw by mydealz a deal for...4000€(and 77" for 2800€). I will buy it soon, and the LG soundbar from last year 810 W for 650€. LG soundbar is not so good like Samsung, but good enough and without connectivity problems. The glossy Panel from S90D is more better than G4!
Brian, the interview that you had earlier in the year the guy, Rob Brennan (or was it John) from Sony, he was saying that miniLED technology they’re working on wouldn’t be out for another couple years or so it seemed. Which means the Bravia 9 is not it. They have something even better than the Bravia 9 in the pipeline don’t they ? Because he was referring to a little further in the future.
As I understand this is already a new tech with miniled so guess so what Samsung and LG does, improve a few % for some years but Sony going all out on it will pay off with the years if market stand still like this.
Why couldn’t the LG G4 perform the best in all categories? I bought the 77” G4 and have been enjoying the larger screen, detail, brightness, the deep blacks and great contrast in 4k movies. I’m coming from a 20+ year old 50” Panasonic plasma screen which the picture is still great with deep blacks and was one of the best performers at the time. I changed my decision 4X, lol. Initially I had the Sony Bravia mini led 77”. But I had to have the deep blacks without blooming. I then chose the Samsung qled with the matte screen but changed my mind once I found it didn’t support 140hz for gaming. I then was about to change my order to the LG G4 but was talked into getting the LG M3 but found out it didn’t have the new A11 processor. So I ended up changing it back to the LG G4. I just wish it had the video processing of the Sony 95L which Sony does the best because they make the movies and are made using Sony movie cameras. I also wish it had the best colors but in that aspect it still looks beautiful. When LG makes a qled perhaps I may change. Also the fact that the Sony costs significantly more which made me finally choose the LG G4 77” and a week later I was able to price adjust to $3999 from the $4499 4th of July sale price I paid.

Interesting that both Brian and Fomo came to the same top 3!! Given all the switching since CES, it's kind of funny how the dust has settled. One thing I wondered, Brian and Fomo both seemed to say that MLA was a "requirement" for the WRGB OLEDs from LG to really compete. But when discussing the upcoming 97" G4 OLED, Brian said he heard that MLA isn't needed at that size to achieve G4 quality. At the same time, FOMO mentioned a "rumor" that the 2025 G5 97" will have MLA which would contradict Brian's info of it not being needed at that size. I really can't wait for that thing to come out because I think it will be the ultimate TV that will outshine the other ultra large mini-LED (not considering cost) even without MLA. So Brian/Fomo, given your admiration of the G4 itself, do you think it could beat the likes of TCL, Hisense, and Samsung at the 100" class without MLA? Would you say to just skip it until LG adds MLA to that size? Is it even a given that they will add it if LG is saying that it's not "really needed at that size"?
Loads of confusion I see. At 97” screen is immersive so extra pop not needed but if it was present then would blow peoples minds. FOMO rumor is different from Brian’s opinion don’t know why you’re putting both in the same basket - entirely different things. If G5 will have 97” price will be still crazy and only few will afford it - especially they don’t drop in price same way Mini led is, so the latter still will rule in that space
What would you suggest for me, i watch netflix/prime video on 4k and some old 1080p content but is like 90% 4k, 10% 1080p. Is the G4 a winner for my case? Should i go c4? Bravia9? No gaming as i already have a qd-oled as a main monitor for pc gaming. I have control of lights.
Wait the lg g4 came in 3rd in the king of tv! And now you guys say its the one to get? Or is it only for calibrators? Since for guys who have friends that calibrate?
What I like about the Bravia series when it comes to to sound, is the voice command 3, on so many movies, tv shows, etc, the background noise, drowns out what is being said !!, picture, motion, gaming , another story, but sound, Sony jumped ahead !!!

@@ingenieriaytecnologiaasoci3553 Go find a video from a guy named Classy on RUclips where he has the G4 and the A95L WITH A METER, SIDE BY SIDE. The two tv's go BLOW FOR BLOW in brightness scene for scene. Come back when you've actually been educated by OBJECTIVE DATA. Four 2.1. ports AND 144 only apply to gaming geeks. When I'm bored I go to my club and play golf. 144 is especially funny as it only applies to the COMPUTER PLAYING geeks, not the Playstation or Xbox crowds. However, if gaming is more important to you than physical exercise and sunlight, then get the G4. It's the most-perfect TV for your crowd, if you don't like color.....If you like color, the S95D is the better choice.
It was hard to watch and so frustrating. I kept skipping through once fomo interrupted and then he’d interrupt again and again and again and again…. I probably only watched half the video because of it.
The problem I see is that making too many friends in the manufacturing industries ie sony lg etc.. will lead to bias of opinion even if it sub conscious. Brian and fomo you need to be more genuine with reviews and not recommend tv's where DV is not working. Or other essential features advertised are not attended to systematically. Otherwise I don't see a benefit of picture quality or Brightness.
I just purchased the 85” bravia 9 after listening to you two for the past couple months raving about it. Now you both name G4 as your favourite. So I’m now thinking I made the wrong choice :-( :-( And here in australia 83” G4 (A$6400) can be purchased near same price as B9 (A$6150)
No way Dave!! The Bravia 9 is amazing!! My focus is more gaming and remember that Fomo is referring to the 65" 9. He's never seen the 85". Enjoy my friend!
Brian, you answer my question on the live stream in regards to the viewing angle being wider on the 85” B9 due to its larger size than the 65”. FOMO mentioned the angle for the 65”. Could you share your estimate of the angle for the 85” I could use as a guide? We have a wide seatting area and want to make sure we are good before purchasing. Thanks for all you and FOMO do. Very enjoyable and informative.
So we keep getting these videos on tvs that are out. Why are you and fomo and everyone other than rtings avoiding the bravia 8 like it has the plague? Rtings are usually Last to get a review done. Not first. The Bravia has been available for a good minute now. Zero reviews. Is it trash????
I would probably go G4 from the videos. I do love the natural whites for the B9 which makes me wonder if MLA could beat QD-OLED with natural white. With that said, I can now tell blooming and Micro-contrast a district features. B9 looks like it solves blooming but micro contrast is just too dope. Example would be clouds. No blooming on a B9 but no micro contrast robs them of depth.

@@sparkiegaz3613 the 85 inch Bravia 9 is tempting as I'm currently looking at the 77 inch G4. I need to see the Bravia 9 in person to see if the viewing angles are good enough for multiple viewing.
What is dark room viewing like compared with oled?
Bravia 9 is ~9ms in 120hz gaming. Don't make it sound like it can't do better than 17ms. It's very smooth and I have zero issues with it. I tried the S95B and I can't tell any difference in how it handles.
This XR90 85" is amazing. Big and in content I don't see blooming but just bright HDR and crystal clear 4K image.
Wish Fomo would let Brian talk or at least let him finish a sentence😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing
Brian,
Still blown away my brother.
Was in the shop yesterday and saw no losing of colour from any angle. I think those reviews are super critical
TCL
Im also very curious how the UX will be
On angle, my 85 B9 is absolutely beautiful. I can’t go back to 77 S90C for watching films. The upgrade in processing is massive.
what makes the image better in comparison to the s90c ? I have not viewed b9
@@a1blues I’d highly recommend also making the jump from 65 to 85”. It’s just so immersive for watching movies.

Awesome! Enjoy the Bravia 8! It's excellent!
Agree, the cost of the A95L Sony is prohibitive. To be honest it’s the only TV I think is amazing. At least LG always have sales and I think they’re good value for money.
Fomo isn't allowed to comment on the Bravia 9 until he spends time with the 85"
I just got back from Best Buy comparing the B9 85 against the A95L 77 and I'm more confused than I was before I started.
How was the viewing angle on the 85” Bravia 9? Was there any noticeable colour loss or blooming off angle?
@@rayenwoomed5323 yes if you went WAY off angle. I don't have a use case with ultra wide seating. With a 3 person couch and end chairs on both sides NOBODY would lose in my home with an 85"

I'm in Australia and they don't sell the 65 inch Bravia 9, the 75 inch is ($6,995 AUD). How could BRIAN not, it's a fantastic TV.
Not in any particular order but for top 3, it’s gotta be s95d,Bravia 9, and G4.
Brian, first you said you prefer the B9 to the LG G4 for movies and now you say G4 instead of B9, I'm getting confused 🤷🏼♂️
If I were in the hunt for a new tv it would be the G4 all day everyday. Once I went OLED there was no going back to LED.
Would you consider the LG M3 being wireless for a cleaner install?
How big is the gap in color saturation between the A95L and G4? The difference in color gamut is the only thing holding me back in getting an G4
LOTS
Watch comparison videos. It’s not that different. G4s colors are bright, brilliant, clear, deep and lifelike. If you want more saturated get a QDOLED but don’t let color hold you back from G4. You just heard both these guys pick it for their #1…
Bravia9, G4, or QN900D is best at upscaling 480/720p?
QN900D
I acknowledge that the Z3 is much more expensive, but at the upcoming shootout, many of us would very much appreciate it if both of you would describe your reaction to it in comparison with the winner of the 4K models. Last year, it really helped that Brian stuck around and did a comparison of the A95L to the Z2, mentioning that he preferred the Z2, except for its price.

Which TV is Best in Picture quality? Bravia 9/8/7 or LG G4/C4 or Samsung S95D?
Not seen Sonys TVs but would think easily S95D, it’s really no match in a dim/ dark room but lights/daylights I take a guess Bravia 8 and 9 show the better side.
Which one 83 A80L vs 77 A95L vs 85 B9 , for moving, Gaming , Dark Room , PC , Straight View Angel
I have the 83" A80L and love it but the Bravia 9 at 85" is just on another level.
Hi, my living room has a window right next to the TV and 3 windows opposite of the TV. Those 3 windows are on the south side, so it is a bright room. What TV would you recommend? Should I go for the matte Samsung or still go for a glossy screen?
SONY.
I want to get a G4 next year to replace my C2 .. it's an amazing TV
what would you choose for 4000 nits content? still G4?
Would you guys recommend a qn900c 85"?
The 900C was very good and is an excellent value right now
I ordered the Bravia 9 because of my use case (bright room, no gaming, an older 85“ Sony already in use)
I brought it in Germany for 3.899€ including 500€ Cash back from Sony.
After much research, it came down to:
1) S95D
2) A95L
3) LG Z3
4-A) S95C/S90D
4-B) G4
5) QN900D
6) Bravia 9
7) QM8 or possible U9N
I completely wrote off the S95D initially due to a horrendous amount of negative reviews by reviewers. It took months of additional research and comparisons to even consider it again, let alone select it as what is best for me.
This took months of exhaustive research and comparisons.
haha exactly how exhaustive!
Remember! Just because a TV is a newer model, does not always make it better.
I’d say G4, A95L and Bravia 9.
For me personally it’s only between the G4 and B9 for the 83” and 85” models. The price difference is only $1500 so……
I wouldn't buy the 83" G4 at the same price. Good luck with the panel lottery.
I’d put Bravia 9 as 3 on this list. G4 2. A95l maybe 1.

@@gosman949 just wall mount it.
@stopthefomo- to your point around sound being the tipping factor between G4 and 95D…
If I need a wall mount TV that is as flush as possible, and will use a great soundbar, in my living room with large windows … G4 or S95D ?
I have the same use case as you and some PS5 - what would you recommend for me ? I’m just concerned about loosing the blacks that I absolutely love about OLED….
I'm still on the fence about the Sony A95L. I need a center stand though for my 42-inch tv stand. I'm hearing that the Amazon stands will raise the TV too high because of the placement of the VESA holes? Is this true and does anyone recommend a stand that will keep the TV stable and lower to the stand?
Why don’t you get a new stand or mount?
Oh really! So Bravia 9 is riddled with problems! Having a hard time deciding whether to cancel my purchase.
Here is a summary of the issues to date:
Anti reflection coating is very intrusive, and has a weird pattern that causes ghosting and haloing, even in a dark room.
Brightness and local dimming is uncontrollable in SDR
Audio sync via HDMI doesn't work, no matter what sync setting is used. I haven't had sync problems since the early nineties.
For SDR content via HDMI, none of the presets present even the minimum of an adequate picture. Each preset is worse than the previous. Color is always inaccurate. And haloing happens in all presets.
Streaming using the TV:
The calibrated settings for Netflix and Amazon Prime are abysmal, even in the darkest of rooms.

I bought the G4, at RTINGS the G4 also came out as a better TV, and so I made the right choice. Why does no one ever talk about how a TV displays the color white, I think it is just as important as black. I think that most TVs display colors well. So who displays the color white best.

FOMO interrupts too much. Otherwise, great content.
He’s got good shit to say 🤷

You mention gaming on B9 is clean/clear but not so on the U8N or QM8. Why? What causes that? That's a big deal to me.
Fomo, you would buy the G4 because you already HAVE the A95L. If you didn't have a TV, would you buy the G4 or A95L? I am picking between G4 and A95L. semi-dark room streaming. hulu tv, gaming not a lot of sports
Exactly , good question.
If you have a PS5 A95L. I mean either way they’re both fantastic. I have a 65 A95L.
He answered the question in the video. If his a95l dies he wouldnt get another as The a95l isn’t bright enough for sports in his opinion so he would choose the g4.
Gaming = S95D
Streaming = A95L
Both = G4
That's going to be costly
Any one of those can do all 3. People need to stop trying to put TVs into a single usage type box
Actually, that is similar to how I see it too.
There are many good sets this year, all having a specialized niche
@@brokenwrench404 This is just my opinion on which TV I think is best for these use cases. The best TV for streaming is the A95L, the best gaming TV is the S95D. But the G4 to me is the 2. place in both categories so maybe the best compromise out there.
@brokenwrench404 Your right! But which consistently do it better is what everyone is searching for 😊
Loved this discussion. Almost bought a 77 C3 yesterday, but thinking now the C4 or G4.
It was barely mentioned but you sold me on the 98 qm851. I’m a size queen. Just needed to hear it was good
Great stream as always guys 2kish budget 65" biggest I can fit. Dark room no gaming Netflix amazon RUclips. Viewing angle is not important. Watching straight on. C3, Bravia 7 or s90d. Or something I missed. Ty guys
Hey, thanks you guys are very helpful. I’m trying to decide on my TV now anyways thank you very much.
So G4 is the way go if you watch a lot of sports and you want to go oled ?????
That’s what I took away from Fomo. Although I can’t get past him saying the A95L is too dim for sports. I’ve not heard anyone else say this about any QD OLED, even in brighter viewing environments.
Good video. Im hoping Sony updates the A95L in 85 and 100 inch sizes. I don’t buy small panels anymore. Its 98” or 100” here on out for me. The immersion is spectacular. I will show the difference soon.
Impossible. There will be no more A95L when the stocks are finished because Sony sold their factory in Japan. RIP to Sony OLED that made in Japan
@@drewfwieuriskfi Its all good im not missing out on anything. I already have the best qdoled in Samsung S95C. I also have 98 inch TCL S5 and 100 inch Hisense U8K.
@@AlteredVisionTV how's the reliability of Samsung OLED? Is it easier to break because the price is like half of Sony
@@AlteredVisionTV I'm going to get one of G4, A95L or Bravia 8. G4 is cheap but I'm afraid of the unreliability of Korean brands. Do you have any suggestions?
@@drewfwieuriskfi I have many videos on the S95C if you would like to tune in.
G4 all day, any day, every day!!!!! Only TV that does everything GREAT!
except color. Can't hold a torch to a QD-OLED
@@MrUpscaleman The G4 can EASILY be adjusted to look VERY similar to QD-OLED.
@billtinnell2206 no, it's IMPOSSIBLE to match the color volume. At 1000 nits, yes, but as the nit count rises the G4 WILL lose color relative to a QD OLED.
@@MrUpscalemancringe, quantum TV parrot 🦜
@@makaiokalahama stop being a fucking MORON. What an IDIOT comment.
Boy oh boy the g4 just motivated Sony... I'm assuming Sony bounce back king of OLED next year!!
Still watching your beautiful videos even though im so happy with my QN95C. And I bought that after watching so many of these great videos.
I watched the football last night and saw England go through to the semis of the Euros. I got to tell you the rich colours in all that detail was just mindblowing..but I still want you boys to lend me an oled to see what im missing...
Have I got Fomo? Mmmmm im just not sure...
Went from what would you choose... to just the top of the line models.
The video should be labeled Top LINE TVs.😮
Any LG QNED91 2024 review?
Anybody here with any knowledge or expierience with philips oled+959?
Last years tv is the best this year. Sony a95l.
Sadly no 😢
@@pabloeduardodelvillarvalen8097 explain your reasoning. I only say this because you're wrong. COLOR!
Really?, thats the only thing matter to You?, there are things the a95l lacks, brightness, 4 HDMI 2.1 full bandwith, 144hz, etc, this year we have more options than the last year that can compete or beat the sony, maybe the last year it was the Best tv but this year i don't think so
@@ingenieriaytecnologiaasoci3553 Go find a video from a guy named Classy on RUclips where he has the G4 and the A95L WITH A METER, SIDE BY SIDE.
A95l is still the best tv and I wouldn't be surprised if it wins this year's shootout
1 panasonic z95 mla 2 lg g4 3 sony bravia 9.
Bravia 9, A95L, Bravia 8. Went to the store and was shocked by Sony. The tax you pay for their TV's is worth every cent.
What about the LG M4?
The M4 is amazing. It's basically a wireless G4 . So if you like the G4, the M4 is a more expensive iteration of it. I'll have a video on it soon.
Use case
Games(playstation)
Series
Movies
Documentary
Mostly from streaming services
Imagine a perfect TV with a QD-OLED panel + a Sony XR processor + an MLA screen + 0.03ms in Game Mode 🔥
Fomo won’t let Brian Speak
It was hard to watch and so frustrating. I kept skipping through once fomo interrupted and then he’d interrupt again and again and again and again…. I probably only watched half the video because of it.
Hope the bravia 10 is a miniled again.
I don’t think next year there’ll be a Bravia 10, I think the naming scheme for their flagship will be more like Bravia 9 2025, Bravia 9 2026 etc..
I’m guessing that the replacement for the A95L will be named Bravia 10
@@MattCarlton-cd3bc I could see that
The problem I see is that making too many friends in the manufacturing industries ie sony lg etc.. will lead to bias of opinion even if it sub conscious.
So I’m now thinking I made the wrong choice :-( :-(
And here in australia 83” G4 (A$6400) can be purchased near same price as B9 (A$6150)
No way Dave!! The Bravia 9 is amazing!! My focus is more gaming and remember that Fomo is referring to the 65" 9. He's never seen the 85". Enjoy my friend!
Bigger led is more blooming. If you are used to oled then will be a problem
oh really i thought 85” would be better for blooming due to the more dimming zones.
Thanks Brian!
@@davevale702185 inch Bravia 9 will be the best as it has more dimming zones. The guy above has no idea what he is talking about
Brian, you answer my question on the live stream in regards to the viewing angle being wider on the 85” B9 due to its larger size than the 65”.
Thanks Brian and FOMO
I would probably go G4 from the videos. I do love the natural whites for the B9 which makes me wonder if MLA could beat QD-OLED with natural white.
With that said, I can now tell blooming and Micro-contrast a district features. B9 looks like it solves blooming but micro contrast is just too dope. Example would be clouds. No blooming on a B9 but no micro contrast robs them of depth.
Good topics guys!
@@masomaf thank you so much!
Before I watch a minute of this video I'm going to guess:
1. G4
2. S95D
3. Bravia 9
LG G4 the King
saw a a95l today and g4 both cost as much as a car . Both nice
HDR on a WOLED will always be gimped.
@@Greg29 thats because you haven’t seen G4’s godly MLA 2.0 panel.
@Greg29 mla panel on g4 and a95l is qd oled. Better then anything I saw from led qled , or any other panel
@@jayallen7368 MLA stands for micro lens array, it's still a WOLED panel, not quantum dot.
You've convinced me guys, my Sony 77-inch A9G is going out the door and an 83-inch LG G4 will replace it 😍👌

1. Bravia 9
2. A95L
