    Tom, just wanted to say thanks. I popped into your shop yesterday afternoon for some 6/0 circles and a few mackerel, before heading off to Southbourne beach for the first time. Head and guts fished close to the groyne resulted in a pb bass for me. Okay, it was only 45cm but I’m new to sea fishing!

    Breat video mate, love the way you returned that Bass. I live North East England and we are getting more Bass here so be interesting to try your rig here. One thing thoubh, does the bait not get stripped by shore crabs?

    • @christchurchanglingcentre5428
      @christchurchanglingcentre5428  8 месяцев назад

      It certainly will in certain venues and situations. We're luckily going through a relatively crab free period here at the moment (the bass have probably eaten them all 😆). If you do have crabs, just reduce your cast times down accordingly.

      Glad you enjoyed the vid mate. In this one I was using my Veret Eclisseo 4.4m and a Shimano Bull's Eye 9100. Any rod with a nice forgiving action would be ideal though, you don't want a stiff rod for this, something a bit more through actioned is better.
