I fish twin lakes very often for many yrs. There is Kokanee in that lake. I’ve watched guys slay them. Gotta check your speed for sure cause I heard you have to be at 1.3-1.7 mph. Also big pike on the lake. I had some tacos many times from that lake
I’ve heard the same thing about the Kokanee! I fish hawked the water temp and was going 1.3 for about 6-7 hours out there idk maybe it wasn’t my day but most new lakes I go to I come up with a few I’ll have to go give it a go here soon!
Yeah I think I got some miss guided me information haha. Hayden is a pretty fun lake to get out and fish! It’s all good I just hope the new one gets here asap
I haven't caught a kokanee in twin lakes in 20 years fish and game stopped stocking it a long time ago. And the tagged fish can be worth money it usually says the value on the tag I have caught tagged walleye in pend o reil and steelhead in the Clearwater I have made a thousand dollar's from walleye in pend o reil
@@schultheisa I sent all the info off to the department of fish and wildlife and they are supposed to email me I have yet to hear back I’m excited to know what the deal is!
@@walkingonwaterfishing Interesting. For WA state on the website lists "derby" and you enter the code. Then it tells you what you won and which store to contact in regards. My 14yr old daughter caught one beginning of this season and when we called in from the boat on the rod/reel combo everyone on the boat let out a huge sigh when they said zebco and not lamiglas. lol
@@taco472 yeah this video was a little of my normal but it is what it is hahah! I was hoping for a limit of Kokanee and there were none in the lake! People do eat rainbow trout I prefer salmon but that’s just me
Rainbows are delicious!
Yes they are!

Yeah this tag didn’t say it was worth money so I’m assuming it’s worth 0 but still pretty cool
It's definitely exciting to catch tagged fish today. we got a couple of Chinook from the north fork Clearwater

Curious what your trolling speed is with that motor and boat size? I've always tried to keep speeds 0.8 to 1.2 mph for Kokes. Cheers

You gonna fish Pend Oreille or CDA? I’ve caught a ton of Kokanee on Pend Oreille.
