My biggest steelhead came off a hot lips diver that resembled a rainbow trout.i snagged it back trolling cherrylane..my dad told me to tie it on .I limited out 3 fish that day biggest 19 pnd buck .my dad drove everywhere in Lewiston trying to find them. Come to find out they were discontinued the year before..only difference was they had red Gill plates painted in the sides the New ones didn't never even got a bite after that.. Just never no..
@@nolebrady8256 first off that’s a monster fish that’s awesome and dude they even discontinued the brads that light up it’s crazy alot of super fishy baits get wrecked cuz they are not the hot new thing I would love to be able to buy some still. Thats a bummer buy some similar plugs and paint them
@walkingonwaterfishing that was thirty years ago and it was tiped with a single hook out the back with a shrimp on it . Don't see fish like that much anymore. We were catching 40 inch wild ones back in those days .

Hey man love the vids! I was just curious I'm new to steelhead fishing and I live in Lewiston how do you decide what depth your fishing to target them
@@elimcknight3560 these fish you see a lot of them rolling early in the year but most of these fish travel a little up off the bottom and or mid water level so if you see the depth you can adjust to the lower half of the water system. It took me asking a bunch of people and they all said the same thing so I put it to work and it worked!
