If your drag is smoked on that reel, get some carbontex washers and never look back. They are cheap and will make that drag better than factory. Keep livin the dream!
@@richardcritelli1553 so we found that the flows change so much the snake rises and drops on a 12 hour schedule that our speeds would change a lot. The best advice I can give is a 1 Mississippi thump on your rod tip. Which equates to 1.3-1.5 upstream and about 1.7-2.0 down stream
Great videos! Thanks so much for posting them, really appreciate it. Just FYI, you would loose a lot less fish if you would kill your motor and stop trolling when you get a fish on. That way you're not fighting the current of a moving boat and the fish would be less likely to surface so far behind the boat, so netting it would be much easier.

Good discussion here. My experience with flouro is that it does not like to get bent/kinked. Like many of us I got excited about it's smaller diameter(low vis) but the more I fished it the more I realized that it is not durable. My 2 cent consensus nowadays, is to run regular old mono or copolymer for deep water salmon. The extra stretch is like a shock absorber for when those fish are thrashing around with a 360 in tow. The extra durability gives more confidence in getting gear back in the water after landinga big fish on it. I save my flouro for bobber fishing and side drifting where it helps with sensetivity and presentation more than anything else. I have had sockeye break 25# test seagar flouro after a bit of abuse but I have yet to break off a king on the 25# pline cxx. Maxima is always the gold standard but it has a wierd strength curve that hits plastic deformation rather quickly so I have slowly shyed away from it over the years. Would love to here more thoughts about this.
@@loganfishbeard For Kings on the Snake/ Clearwater I run 50lb braid mainline to a slider with 10-12oz weight. Then a 24” 150lb flasher bumper to a Protroll chrome 360 flasher. 36” to 42” 40lb maxima ultra leader for SB’s and 24” to 36” for spinners. Been using this setup for two years now and have yet to have anything break off. I did have a cheap offbrand hook break off last year on a nice fish. Now it’s #3/0 Gamakatus only.

U guys we’re killing it
You guys did great that was awsome!
Move forward before the fish is near the boat, so your net man can be in better position.......
And keep putting the bag of net in the water, good way to pull the hooks out ...
I been crying myself to sleep. Bank fishing has been tough for me lol seen you guys out there a few times! Glad to see you guys catching fish!
