🔥🔥🔥🔥 FIRE!!! Lead singer Leslie West had a good voice but his guitar skills were out of this world. One of the greatest guitarists ever This song wasn't played by every radio station in 1970 mainly it was said to be too edgy too different. Glad a few did this was amazing Fire!!
One of the best rock songs ever. I got to see Mountain in the 90s in my hometown of Ft. Smith, Arkansas in a crappy country bar. They had 32 marshall stacks in a wall behind them. Blew my hair back and it was glorious! Corkey Laing broke.about 3 sets of sticks on every song. Had a case beside him and grabbed another pair without missing a beat. Still got my half a stick!
MOUNTAIN, "MISSISSIPPI QUEEN". One of my favorite songs growing up in high-school during those groovy 70's. Guitarist, and singer of MOUNTAIN. Leslie West, Passed away going on I believe a year and a half now. The sadness continues as the great rockers keep going to that Great Gig in the Sky. 🎶✌🎵
🙂 this is FIRE,! Some radio stations in my area wouldn't play it in 1970.Too extreme probably too different. I loved it still do. Leslie Wests guitar playing was insane one of the greatest guitarists ever
Loved these boys in late 60s and early 70s. Sadly Corky Laing is the only one left alive of the original group that recorded the "Climbing" album and "Mississippi Queen". ""She taught me everything!!! "She was a dancer. She looked better on wine. While the rest of them dudes were gettin their kicks Boy I beg your pardon I was getting mine. OOOOOOOOOOOOH I think I knew me a MS Queen myself. Brandon that big dude with that afro was Leslie West. He passed in 2020, Felix Papelardi on bass passed in 1983. He was killed by his wife. Drugs, booze and an affair got him killed. Steve Knight on Keys died in 2013
Back in the day, brothers had to work for their money. Now you just have to look pretty and turn on the auto tune. Someone else will drop some computerized beat and bang, a popular song that sounds like every other song that takes no talent at all
Love it when music really meant something.
Leslie West and Mountain. Just baaaad rockers! Awesome
Bravo. That's the rock.
Totally agree no BS Autotune. Started in 97:worst thing that could happen to music.
The late great Leslie West. He was a 'MOUNTAIN' of a man. 🙏🇺🇲✌️😎

The USA 🇺🇸 answer to Cream. Leslie , Felix and Corky were one of the best bands in America

That's a Four piece power Trio.
Check out Never In My Life. They kill it.
Cool
They should have been offered the recorded version first.
This was Ozzy Osbourne's favorite band This is the band that he wanted to be...
Mississippi Queen sounds like he's singing about a woman. He is really singing about the river boat and his love affair with gambling
the studio version is much better
The studio version is better.
