Your explanation on why you dont like channel cats cracks me up everytime you talk about it! You are the man keep these videos coming my 6 year old daughter and I make it a point to watch everyone you put up!
I've had some back problems and spent many a day stuck in a chair. When I was able to get up and go a bit more, I made up my mind to TRY not to miss another sunrise! Each and every one, truly is a gift from God! Happy fishin!!!
Always a pleasure watching your videos. I too wish I could stay away from the pleasure boaters, but I’m pretty much stuck with the weekend until I retire...not wishing my life away though...
Your videos will never get old love your tactics very cool how precise you are on bait placement and how you fish no denying it's very effective ive actually taken alot from you and appreciate all the info you give out has made me really think about what I'm doing when I'm out fishing bait placement is everything when after the biggns
Two of my favorite quotes ever in the same video. ( pardon me if there's a slight mis-quote, my memory isn't great) "you gotta have baits in the water to catch fish" and my favorite of all time " I don't collect fishing tackle, I collect fishing memories" love it! Of course most of my fishing memories are of losing big ones or falling in the water, or just going home cold and set empty handed.😊
"Im not collect fishing gears! Im collect fishing memories!" That's qoute give me slap on my face. You're wise Sir! Keep what work & dont waste on something not necessary.
Always a pleasure seeing ya fish. I plan on trying to get out to the TN river for some kayak catfishing as well. That sunrise was definitely a sight to see. Keep the cats comin!
Diawa reels are what I use... Diawa Sealine SHV 40. I like them better than my Abu 7000 C3. Those Diawa have a much better gear ratio for when you need to get your bait back in without hitting every log on the way back.
Great way to start a day man!! Beautiful!! My daughter caught her first fish over Memorial Day weekend a 2lb. drum! Wife caught 1 too, and I ended up with 2 dink blues. Stay safe man
Justin the flathead removed the jinx from your new reel, and the channel cat put right back on it. Lmao. It always funny when you catch one and complain. Great video
Another good day on the water. Even if you got one of those dag blasted channel cats, haha. Glad you got one of the new reels broken in and the juju off of it. Tight lines
Love those octopus circle hooks I’ve been using the Gamakatsu 8/0 for these upstate channel cats chasing that 40 pounder 🐟 plus we have White sturgeon but they’re illegal to haul in 🤷🏽♂️
After watching you use the Seagate, I purchased a couple. Something I'm running into is theres some many things you can do with it. Can you please make a tutorial for the Seagate? I think it would be valuable to the whole community. Just simple thins like the rod clamp, setting the clicker, drag, etc. I'm using them tonight. Went bait fishing yesterday and have some good crappie I'm going to use. Thanks!
I totally agree with ya brother on channel kitties..I much rather get the beautiful blue cats. Awesome Striper as well. Keep Crushing It!! Stay HUMBLE, Stay HUNGRY, Stay FOCUSED...~The Jarhead Entrepreneur
Another good video! Some nice catches. I’m going after those whiskered fish in the morning and it’s supposed to rain some and I was wondering what’s your view if fishing in the rain as long as it isn’t pouring?
How hard is it to keep your line from collecting on one side or spot without the levewind? I e seen abbu Garcia modified to eliminate it but couldn't figure out how to keep it evenly spooled.....
What made you switch over to only reels with no level wind. I know you do a lot of suspend fishing so there isn't much line going out but wanted to know your thinking
Do you have a preference on line color? I’ve heard cats can see bright line and I’ve also heard it doesn’t matter at all. I usually have a green colored line as my leader and it’s always worked for me but figured I would ask
I've been curious what running the tip of your rod in the water does for you at the end of sending a bait down? Not something I've seen done here in NM. Thanks for the videos
I think it’s his way of measuring a couple feet off the bottom. He holds his rod tip out of the water and then reels in as he drops the tip down a foot or two. I always wonder the same thing
I'm surprised this isn't more obvious. There must be a lot of people who never fish below their boat. If you stick your rod tip to a known depth below the surface and take up the slack and then move your rod to the holder, the distance from where your rod tip WAS to where it IS when in the holder is exactly equal to how far the sinker was raised off the bottom. And you already know how long your leader is, so from there, you know how far your bait is off the bottom.
I love how calm he is when he’s reeling in an absolute monster catfish
Instablaster...
Getting older I find one of the best things is getting up earlier and being in nature at that special time of day... love the vids!

Love those Seagate reels. Very rugged and reliable.

I’ve been watching your videos lately cause I’m not too experienced with river cat fishing. Very helpful! And entertaining.
Love those sun rises and sun sets.
Another awesome video.
Thanks man. I needed that.

Good looking flathead man and stripe great video buddy love watching
Do a video of you picking spots with the app and reading your depth finder etc
I'd watch that
Chad Wright same
Was going to ask if he would do a video showing what he’s looking for on a navigation chart, reading the features of the lake and such.
There’s so many videos out there of people doing this already
I guess if we thought all the people doing it were as cool as Mr Catfish we would go watch them lol

Love the video 👊🏻 I went out and got my first catfish lastnight. I’m still hype. 17.5 lb flathead
Did you eat him or no? I hear 20 pounds or less are safe to eat. Congrats on the catch!!

Great way to start a day man!! Beautiful!! My daughter caught her first fish over Memorial Day weekend a 2lb. drum! Wife caught 1 too, and I ended up with 2 dink blues. Stay safe man

Love those octopus circle hooks I’ve been using the Gamakatsu 8/0 for these upstate channel cats chasing that 40 pounder 🐟 plus we have White sturgeon but they’re illegal to haul in 🤷🏽♂️
Great opening.
Check the wildlife feeding times for the zip code you are fishing.... That's when they turn on... I go by it religiously, it works!!
Great video as always cant wate next.
Great video thx again for the videos keep it up
Zen master and catfish phenom!
Could you do a video on greasing and oiling the Daiwa 35 reels?
I watched this sitting on the bank catfishing. Caught a 12lb blue while watching this.
good fishing mr
Perfect timing

Good idea! I just bought two of them last night and two ugly sticks through his links. Do you know what kind of fishing rod is the darker colored one?
Great job justin! I have been after the flatheads this year i have only caught 2 small ones! Im tryin though lol keep it up brotha!
Thanks for answering the channelcat question! Crystal clear!
I caught a 72lb flathead on the Missouri River yesterday and was 43 inches
Missouri River in Missouri?
I totally agree with ya brother on channel kitties..I much rather get the beautiful blue cats. Awesome Striper as well. Keep Crushing It!!

Great vid
I was reading your gear list as you were saying you don't talk about it lol
Good 🐟 ing
Dang Ole Luv Juice....lol We get a lot of that up here in Ohio too.
Justin I've noticed you do a lot of suspend fishing . i live near a deep water lake do you think I'd be better off doing the same thing
You are the best RUclipsr
I'd hit the like button even if the video were full of DINKS
Me 2
Well his dinks are 10#
nice job as usual. Thank you...……..
Another good video! Some nice catches. I’m going after those whiskered fish in the morning and it’s supposed to rain some and I was wondering what’s your view if fishing in the rain as long as it isn’t pouring?
they fry up good
I have the same opinion about channel cats,so it's not just you lol Enjoyed your video as always.
My pb channel cat where I live is about 23 pounds 😂😂😂
How hard is it to keep your line from collecting on one side or spot without the levewind? I e seen abbu Garcia modified to eliminate it but couldn't figure out how to keep it evenly spooled.....
Man I wish I was on the water today but too many pleasure boats were I fish lol
What made you switch over to only reels with no level wind. I know you do a lot of suspend fishing so there isn't much line going out but wanted to know your thinking
Justin you say skip jack is king bait for tenn river. Is there a reason you never fish them whole. Todd Roland
Oh man!!! Give me some channel cat filets and I'm good!!!
Caught a 30 lb blue off the dock 2 nights ago you need to come and fish that ledge I can show it to you
Do you have a preference on line color? I’ve heard cats can see bright line and I’ve also heard it doesn’t matter at all. I usually have a green colored line as my leader and it’s always worked for me but figured I would ask
Dillion Dicker it doesn’t matter, I’ve caught huge catfish with green line and even gar. It’s a myth. All the fish see is the bait
There's something about being on the water when the sun is coming up. I know exactly what you're talking about
You should definitely bring a scale with you when you go out there, I’d love to see a weight on some of those monsters!😄
He goes by length because that's how the tournaments he fishes in work 👍
Don’t wind him up. 😂
It would be awfully difficult to weigh those monsters, on a yak.
Hey Justin. Did you ever used an Inlinerod? MAD CAT, white, green ore black. Maybe other brands.
Nice video again.
That's how you break'em in
Crazy fishing here in Louisville ky Ohio river, cant catch noting over 10lbs tried all kinds of bait, but water is 40 feet high
Spot to spot thats my problem always wondering if I'm in the right spot lol.
What is the reg for striper there on the Tennessee river? Is there an abundance of them n easy to catch
I've been curious what running the tip of your rod in the water does for you at the end of sending a bait down? Not something I've seen done here in NM. Thanks for the videos

World record channel cat.
Without a level wind on the Seagate reels, you don’t have any issues keeping the line leveled out?
Where about you from..? I noticed you are on Tennessee river. What part Tn.?
Mr Justin, wouldnt it be possible to just remove the level wind guide to make it just as good?
Do you think the Daiwa reels will out perform the ABU's over time?
🔥
Cool
great video, big fish. why do you not use striped bass for bait? big fish lots of bait. stay safe
