Im from sauga and idk why u gave woodlands so much attention compared to other areas in the GTA. Theres also other areas in sauga like paisley (5&10), Acorn, Havenwood. But I do appreciate this piece of work, portrayed the city and communities in a different way than they're usually seen. Hopefully the next one can include whoever was missed on this one

I produced on the retour, hope to answer a bunch of these questions and put them into perspective. We wanted to include a lot of the other areas like the Rex and regent etc but you know how the mandem are too many moves where being made schedules never added up, Communication wasn't there and just overall timing. We didn't want the documentary too be excessive in length but more so to be an engaging experience that made viewers want more.. politics never played a role in anything as the documentary had a very neutral outlook in regards to that. Like the name suggests this was simply the "retour" to get you guys re acquainted with what's to come next Theres def more real Toronto left. Big up my guy Mworks

What this doc taught me is we’re all living the same experience but just in different hoods. We should see each other like distance cousins and show more love! 🙏🏾

Shout out to Tripple M and Apac, we originally had both camps on the retour but for personally reasons they had to pull out last minute but the door is def open to have them on board for the next one, we also tried to communicate with Mo-g but couldn't get a hold of him as he wasn't around etc big ups to him too. This was disappointing. Mans been waiting for this to drop and u didn't even put effort in this shit. Wheres the mandem from Regent Park or Chester Le?? they got talent. And u skipped over St.Lawrence. All those places got rappers that are popping and u didn't include them.

Good concept for a documentary honestly, no hate intended but, the video felt like it was all over the place. Plus there were times where you could hear the camera/audio guy breathing heavy af into the camera lmao. A little bit of professionalism goes a long way, you don't need high-end equipment or a crazy project budget to achieve that. You guys covered good stuff but this could've been executed a lot better. I know everyone's trying and grinding, but when it comes to matters of pop-culture and image, especially when you're dealing with a city that's still developing it's image in the music culture, this kind of stuff really really matters.

Just 4 minutes into this documentary and already I've noticed how similar the Toronto slang is to the slang we used here in London, England. Guess it must be due to the fact that both cities have large Jamaican/Afro Caribbean communities.
