Hi, at min. 5.10 you mention some log to see where it get's downloaded. I can't make out what you exactly say. Can you give me a quick hint where the log is + name and how to show it in terminal. Because I haven't seen this one at all before. Thanks in advance 🙂🙃
question, first thank you for your website and explanation. I am 75 and I trying to install Sonoma in a 65GB flash drive, I download it from your web (thank you) I click install on a flash drive and it shows is there, when I open terminal follow your steps but it won't show the drive.....from here I am lost, I have a (2019 MacBook Pro 16" with Ventura) I like to try Sonoma first before I put on Laptop, (don't get old sucks) any suggestion are welcome ? wouldn't mind you connect to my laptop and see you install it on the flash drive? thank you regards
Hi, i have a 2013 MBA 6,2 which got "stuck" installing the root patches after OCLP 0.6.4. Is it possible to download Big Sur to a windows pc, and then install it to the MBA? Or is there a simpler way to resolve the problem with the root patches another way?
There is a problem with the root fix of Opencore Patcher, it makes certain programs not ask for permission to use the microphone (sonarworks SoundId as exemple). This is in Ventura. The program asks to gain access and to confirm in preferences but there is not way to do that, it doesn't show in the list and there are no fixes other than opening the program via Terminal, then the system reacts but this has to be done every time you want to run the app, and you must keep Terminal open since the app gains access via terminal only. Its a known problem without solution, ive seen many posts about this. It would be fantastic if someone knows how to use Terminal to give Mic access to an app in a proper way, or even better, if someone could let the OpenCore Team about this problem. Best regards
Thank you Mr. Macintosh for always providing us with the latest updates on MacOS.👍

You don't need open core to install it on a older mac, just a usb drive with the OS 14.
Do you need to enroll on Apple Developer Program to install it?
Yep. And its not free!

Mr Macintosh! Thank you 🙏
I know that you’re not supposed to use Sonoma with OCLP, but it works (mostly) fine NON-Metal on CI builds
Mine get stuck while logging in and booting after I installed the root patches. A lot of others have the same problem. You don't?
@@wardverduyn yeah, I don't seem to have that on non-Metal. Some metal macs seem to have the issue
Hello. Sonoma was released Sep 27th Wed. I'd like to download latest version 1.4.0. Is it avaliable to download as dmg ? I don't need any pkg
