Golden rule of any OS upgrade, never use anything less than a .1 release in a production environment. Fine for testing but nothing more.

So 2009 iMac Owner here, recently upgraded to Sequoia from Catalina that was patched with OCL. I can tell you they did an amazing job putting this together. the patcher worked perfectly the entire process was WAY easier than when I set up OCLP with Catalina 3 years ago. The ONLY issue I have found is MASSIVE RAM usage. Your machine will be a noticeably slower, but if you remember this is not your 20 core 40 thread Xeon in there and that 8 GB of RAM is not much these days you won't have many other issues. If my old girl with DDR3 and Intel Core 2 DUO can do it yours can too! Not sure if there is any code to be written that could help eliminate background processes.

Why do people on NON supported macs rush to update as bleeding edge first day testers, only to discover they then have issues. Always best to wait a couple of weeks to see what gets broken. OCLP team are working hard to test things, so we don't have to.

I did on my 12,1 imac. OCLP had trouble downloading a KDK update while 15.01 itself was downloading but I let it go ahead. On reboot after installing 15.01, no root patches were applied. Wifi wasn't working, and since OCLP still needed that KDK update I had to plug my iphone into the machine to get wifi tethering to work so I could download the OCLP update and get those root patches I needed. After all that everything was ok

I don't know why but since around august 2023, every x.1 updates (like 15.0.1, or 14.1.1 etc) I have to reboot my mac manually in the middle of the update process and when I reboot, the update continue normally. The strange thing is it don't happens on major updates or the .1 updates (like 14.1, 14.2 or 15.0). I'm on a 2020 iMac, no problems at all on my computer except this stringe issue.

I'm on Mac OS Monterey on a 2012 Mac Pro. Since I have 4 SSDs in the system (on two PCIe Cards) I will be adding Sonoma to the boot options soon to see how it goes, but no way I will put Sequoia on it until the OCLP team say it is solid. I use this system to get work done so I need a reasonable level of stability.

I don't really have a need for the upgrade (currently on Sonoma 14.7). I am looking forward to the different window tiling, actually. I think that'll be a nice feature for me. Couple strange things since updating:
2019 MAC Mini (supported): Update took ~:25 minutes. During update, got a green screen before the "9 minutes remaining" screen during install.
2013-2019 MacPro Trashcan: ~1 hour as usual, including post install root patching. Sluggish mouse/keyboard after update was gone. Got a "Welcome to MAC" screen after update and had to enter my iCloud password. After login, mouse didn't work, and it automatically logged me out and I had to log in again. Seems to work fine now.
Both machines have been unable to use SMS Messages for ~ the last week. Initially worked after 15.0. Also, neither machine was able to use iPhone Mirroring, and gave me a "not supported" error trying to connect to my iPhone 15 ProMax. After 15.01, the MacMini was able to connect. The TrashCan still cannot. I tried turning bluetooth and wifi on and off, restarted the phone, etc.. Still will not connect.

I downloaded "your" 15.0.1 installer for my 14,2 27" Mac as well as the new matching metallib package, which I installed first. After updating to Sequoia 15.0.1. I patched with OCLP 2.0.2 but it seemed to still use the metallib package for 15.0. So I deleted that from the Dortania directory and patched again. This time it used the correct and only one available on my machine. I wonder whether this was the correct procedure and if you can please tell us something about this next time i.e. if and when to delete the previous metallib packge, etc. Thank you so much for you extraordinary efforts.

My Sequoia update from Sonoma caused the display to go off, but the sound was still on. 2011 iMac27 with Open Core 2.02. This was happening randomly, watching RUclips video the screen would suddenly go black but the sound was still running. The graphics card is a Quadro K1100M (flashed by Nick)v 2 GB, and I have 32 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM installed. This does not happen on Windows 11 in Bootcamp, so it's not a hardware issue I assume. Having done the post instal root patch 3 times now, the problem seems to have gone away for now so maybe the drivers were not loading correctly during boot up.

Before that, while doing icloud sync, the computer went intor recovery mode and it caused me a lot of headaches but finally I could go back to 15.0. I have never experienced that icloud sync go to recvoery by itself. The next day, update can be brought to be screen but I couldn't initiate it.

I have upgraded to Sequoia and I have not encountered any significant issues. There was a problem with the mouse releasing from click-down before I released the button! This seemed to be a common problem, and the fix I tried worked. It seemed to be more of needing to re-set parameters, I have been alerted to an issue with voice-over by a [blind] friend with it reading the whole screen, including menus and submenus, rather than the selected text. I found it cleared when I deselected that option under Accessibility, and then re-selected it, but doing that is not easy if you are blind! I do not know if that has been fixed with 15.0.1 as he hadn't tested it when I saw him this morning/
