With what professional gracefulness and tact does this Pastor show loving-kindness by addressing and welcoming the people in the crowd, even individually. Practical godliness. The children of this world even go to the lengths of learning Mandarin and manners and a proper handshake, for a business deal, and in their generation, the LORD says, they are wiser than the children of light. But we are striving for an incorruptible transaction. And the price has already been paid. And the Certificate of Title has already been fulfilled and written in heaven. Our names are written in the books of Heaven from birth, perhaps, for what sin does a child have, that it should suffer for it? But the names can be blotted out. We have been paid for with blood, and by faith do we stand and kneel before the LORD to accept our ticket and our receipt of Christ's Purchase, Free Redemption For Mankind. *Redeemable Only By Faith. And so as His sons and daughters, as His servants and slaves, as His friends; He sends us rain. He sends us the Spirit, so that we may go and save others. This is perfect order in heaven.
We are saved, and we are being saved. We have legal right in heaven by the Blood of Christ; Satan cannot dispute this. We are Justified in the Courts of Heaven, where Christ reigns as Judge and Advocate. And the evidence is bullet-proof; written in stone; stone cannot be nailed to a Cross. They point at our sins playing the Devil's Advocate, but next to every sin is written, "Pardon". In the time of trouble, we will have repented of and forsaken our darling, precious sins, those who cry aloud and make no excuse for their short-comings, but in the Power and Spirit of the LORD they will have overcome.
Revelation 12:10-11
(10) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the
power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
(11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
That was one of the most beautiful prayers I have ever heard in my life. "..for I too am a sinner." For some it can be difficult to preach a straight, cutting message, without cutting too deeply and losing too much blood, and possibly even the patient. Gifted Hands, Dr. Carson, heh. With the precision of a surgeon, this Pastor cuts out the cancer while leaving the heart intact. This is the study of a lifetime. May the Spirit teach and guide and comfort us. Amen.
