I once finish cooking my Sabbath lunch shortly before sunset on Friday, I did not put it in the fridge, I prayed God to keep it from spoiling and he did, besides it's best to have a raw food meal of fruits and veggies on Sabbaths

When God created Jesus Christ and called him his son, God being a SPIRIT was now able to manifest his spirit in his son. His spirit got inside his son and did all the powerful works. So when God resurrected his son on the third day it was a GLORIFIED body that went back to HEAVEN and not a flesh and blood body like ours. Before he was crucified he had a body like us but not after he rose, although to the eyes it appeared that way. When Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was resurrected, they did not have to open the door for him. He appeared in the room where they were . A flesh and blood body cannot appear in a room without the door is opened to you.

On the 7th day- God rested, blessed and sanctified the sabbath day on the 7th day. It does not say He blessed the 7th day the next day (first day of the week) in the scriptures.

i am not an adventist but i noticed how extensive the sabbath commandment was compared to the other nine and i deduced that it merited extensive consideration. i then tried to honor the sabbath and realized, like all divine instructions, i.e. love thy neighbor, i could not and only with God's help could i improve and discover the spiritual aspects beyond the physical efforts. i read that adam was created on the sixth day which means his very first was spent resting meaning his first job was to rest in God. i loved your teaching on God's creation of air, water and food for man. you left out that the darkness came first and each day was evening then morning like the light shining into the darkness, like salvation entering after sin. i loved your repeated reference to God as creator and you touched on that only He is creator. i would add that man cannot create anything, he can only alter the shapes of what God created. as science says - matter cannot be created or destroyed. you mentioned we should not cook on sabbath but can eat sandwiches made before which reminded me of the mana in the wilderness who they were required to collect only a day's ration except before the sabbath it was two days and it did not rot. your focus on the importance of remembering our dependence on God is perfect. you helped me realize it was Jesus speaking creation into existence. you helped me understand how Abel was demonstrating his need for Christ and His blood by his sacrifice and Cain was opposing this truth and both knew the lesson their parents received by God's rejection of the works of their hands to cover their shame and replacement with innocent blood. i learned a lot from your exposition of Lucifer's qualities as being as close to God as possible and his deceiving into doubting God's word. you left out his bodily musical pipes and all that that entails in our entertainment worshiping society. you did a great job on one of my favorite books of the Bible, i learned a lot and understand a lot more and purpose to obey more. thank you.

amen to the grace and salvation thoughts. i don't trust any human to be always right so i have to weight what i hear with what i read and how i believe, but this sermon,, albeit on one commandment, did illuminate many things never before preached on. i will look up the scriptures to gain knowledge and focus on my person relationship with Jesus Christ to gain wisdom.

Hi Pastor, I enjoyed the info you have given in "In-Depth Study of the Book of Genesis/Part 2 by Pr Randy Skeete (EP.9 of 9).
In regards to Genesis Chapter 1 I think there needs to be more clarifying. Also there seems to be some mix up with tradition generally.
The first point is that the words Heaven and Earth are not used in the Bible in the same way they are popularly used today. In the 2nd creation day we are told that God turned the mid-section of the water mentioned in verse 2 into a firmament that God named Heaven. What is the substance that this firmament is made of? If we go to the 5th day we see that WINGED fowl FLY in the FIRMAMENT of HEAVEN. This is the only definition of Heaven given in the whole Bible. No other heavens were made by God. What Paul said about a 3rd heaven could only have been some cultural thing in the east Mediterranean region as the Bible does not talk about the creation of more heavens with the exception of the remaking of our present heaven at the end of the 1000 years. Clearly, since fowl fly in it Heaven is only the AIR or the ATMOSPHERE.
We now have an upper layer of water, Heaven/the Atmosphere, a lower layer of water and then the land. If we go back to verse 2 we see that deep, dark water covers all the land, which is referred to as the Face of the Deep. Water can only be DEEP if there is land down below the surface of the water. The land that God wanted to put Adam and Eve on was under this water so He had to do something about this water. This is what verse 1 is telling us, that God had to make AIR to breathe and DRY land to live on BEFORE He made any life form. On the 3rd day God made Seas. A sea has to have a basin so obviously God had put basins in the Face of the Deep. The lower layer of water automatically flowed into these basins leaving the surrounding land above the water level at last! The atmosphere/Heaven dried out this land and God called the DRY land, Earth. So it is the DRY CONDITION of the land that appeared 6000 years ago, not our planet.
So the word Earth does not refer to our whole planet and the word Heaven does not refer to the Universe or where God's throne is. Since the 1st day of creation has an EVENING then it is obvious that the sun, hence the universe, already existed. There are more implications to do with the above that can be discussed, but let me move onto what this video discusses. However, let me say that EGW clearly says that God put Adam and Eve on this planet to replace the fallen angels. Also there is no mention in Genesis of the water and the land being made. Our planet was already here.
In regards to the light of the 1st day keep in mind that the Apostle Paul said (2Cor 4:6)that the new light God made on that day came from the DARKNESS in the Deep water of verse 2. This light didn't come from God or directly from the sun. However, if you compare the 1st day with the 4th day you can see that there is some relationship between the two days. So it would appear that God had done something to affect the sunlight. Apparently this is the creation of the Visible Light Spectrum? Notice in verse 2 that the Darkness was DOWN near the BOTTOM of the water (the SURface of the Deep). So the sunlight was right next to the darkness that the new light came from.
Taken as it reads in Genesis Chapter 1, all 3 members of the Godhead were active in the creation events of Genesis. "Let US make man in OUR image...". If we go to John 1:3 "All things were made by him; and WITHOUT him was not any thing made that was made. " This is saying that ALL 3 members of the Godhead were active in not only the Genesis creation event, but also in the creation of the universe. Nothing was made without Jesus being involved as well.
IMPORTANT QUESTION Now Jesus Himself asked questions... Mat 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, WHO DO MEN SAY THAT I THE SON OF MAN AM? :14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. :15 He saith unto them, BUT WHOM DO YOU SAY THAT I AM? Peter said Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
The important point that Peter had stated was that Christ was God. To be the Messiah that could save humanity Jesus had to be God in the FLESH in order to take the punishment for the breaking of His life-giving law. He couldn't just be some nice guy who does some heroic deeds, He had to be God and everyone must know this. This is what John 1:1-3, 14, Col 1:15-17 and Hebrews 1:3, 8-10 are all saying... JESUS IS GOD. Notice that Jesus referred to Himself as the Son of MAN. Although Jesus was in fact God, He lived ONLY as a human being that was totally dependent on God as we are.
All these texts and others that you, Pr Skeet, had mentioned are NOT saying that Jesus was the ONLY member of the Godhead to do any creating, but rather Jesus was God and to be God then one must be able to create, which is what you have said.

God could have blessed the Sabbath while He was resting on it. Blessing isn’t work. The Bible doesn’t say that the blessing came at the end of the Sabbath day. This is also not something that we should be focusing on.
At the beginning of the 7th day of the Sabbath from Friday sundown through Saturday sundown God rested blessed and sanctified those 24 hours. Not after on the 1st day of the week the sun-god day.
God rested on the sabbath and blessed it. Keeping sabbath rest there is a blessing. They are one and the same. I don’t believe the word is saying the blessing comes after 24 hours of rest. There is a blessing on the sabbath through rest and communion with God. Diet is dependent on where one lives ideal or non ideal area.
Rest and blessed are coupled together simultaneously throughout the 24 hours, on Saturday the Sabbath the 7th day of the week. This is mankind's glimpse of heaven our communion with God. When the Sabbath has ended that becomes the first day of the week.
I have a question- IF God rested on the Sabbath and gave the a sabbath blessing. Jesus healed the cripple and told him to stand up and walk-

Gen 1:5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. How do you get 24 hrs = 1 day from this verse? Should it be 24hrs = ! day and 1 night?

In heaven, on His throne, with the Father Christ is now both human and yet fully divine. He now posseses the same divine attributes of divinity that were His when He spoke the world into existence. "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." John 17:5. Therefore He CAN be in heaven, ministering as our high priest, and also occupying the throne AND also make His abode with His Father in you. John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." Our Messiah is both fully human and able to sympathise with our plight, and He is also fully divine and powerful to forgive, transform and also glorify the ones who believe in Him.
No one has ever explained the book of Genesis like this before

Pastor Skeet i have been watching this study that you have presented and i am afraid that i must tell you the truth how can you prevent a woman from giving birth or having a Baby on Sabbath ? ,well sir you ought to be careful of what you say because someone who does not understand God will be turned away from his word, you sad they shouldent have sex, or get marred or be burried not to cook ,or have a( BABY on SABBATH) I need text on verse for this ,this is what the pharisees did when JESUS was on earth , my daughter was born on the SABBATH and JESUS was present with me there and no one could prevent that BABY from coming into this world .

I love his excellent approach to interpretation but there are a couple of errors.
1. He calls those who observe the Sabbath idolaters and yet he still gives a respectable voice to Ellen White? Let him be honest about her many false teachings and false prophecies and he'll know better how to call other faithful believers idolaters.
2. He argues that Sabbath was instituted before sin and continues after the resurrection in eternity. As a result, Sabbath is greater than resurrection.
Error:
a. Sabbath is a law to man, resurrection is life, new life. This life is Christ and Christ is God. Sabbath is not life and is not God. If Sunday is because of Resurrection, then Sunday fulfills Sabbath, not replace or change it.
b. Sabbath now is 24 hours. Sabbath in eternity has no beginning and no end. So it's not logical to compare 24 hours to eternity in order to make it look better than Sunday. They're all 24 hour days. Non compares nor should be compared to eternity.

Flesh and blood are mortal, yet Heaven is a place for immortals1. "Flesh and blood" refers to our corrupt, temporary bodies that are of the earth, and cannot exist in the deathless realm of eternity with God2. To enter the Kingdom of God, one must be spiritually regenerated34.
He said Jesus is now in heaven in flesh and blood which is not true. No flesh and blood live in hraven. When God raised Jesus from the dead on the third day, God raised a GLORIFIED body. God is a Spirit. Heaven has no toilet facility for a flesh body. Everything in heaven is SPIRITUAL. God being a spirit could not die for man's sin, so he had to CREATE the second Adam (Jesus Christ), with flesh and blood like man to shed his blood for man . This birth was conceived througjh the virgin Mary and Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and not intimacy between herself and Joseph like we were conceived or born. God being a could not shed blood so he had to make a fleshly body like us but one that was WITHOUT SIN, sinless to shed. The reason why Christ could have been tempted and not sin , although he was flesh and blood like us is because God spoke the word through the holy spirit and create his son, so he was perfect and sinless.

"If Sunday not of God" - The Bible already says that Saturday (Sabbath) is to be remembered and kept Holy (Exodus 20:8), not Sunday, which is the first day of the week. You need no other proof. Keep trusting in Him and remember to keep the Sabbath Holy. You are in all our prayers!

I believe the blessing of the Sabbath was a process. It must have been in God's intention to sanctify and bless the day throughout the 24 hours. I am now getting z bit confused. The bible says he ended his work, on the seventh day.
If the sanctification of the Sabbath was as a result of the act of resting, then for marriage, intimacy would have to take place first and the blessing/sanctification would follow

Pastor, by extending your reasoning, creation began in the evening. The evening and the morning were the first, second, etc., day. So the institution of the Sabbath began at evening. So the act of consecration is first a verbal act then a physical act.
pastor Randy, if the first day of rest was the second sabbath that was blessed, what about the sabbath's that was before the creation, the ones in heaven, before creation of the world. does that mean that he created angels on a crown day also?
To my understanding the days were not created.

So when does Abib really start, today or on New Moon 🌒 from now? When should PASSOVER and Feast of Unleavened 🍞 Bread be celebrated, one week late or one More whole Moon-th from now? Does it even matter? Is the New Moon 🌒 Celebration done away with, is Passover done away with, is the Feast of Unleavened 🍞 Bread done away with, is the Lunar Sabbath's, all of them done away with? Read Ezekiel 46: 1-3 & Isaiah 66: 22-(24) & Leviticus 23 & Exodus 16. DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ AND IT'S IMPLICATIONS ❓🤔❓I pity the fool that doesn't.
