I live and play in SE Asia now. These pedals are everywhere here and are far more common than the higher priced boutique brands. Average musicians over here can’t afford the brand names and they are tough to get. The best players over here are using Chinese clones. Joyo, NUX, Ly-Rock, Mooer, Flamma etc are dirt cheap here - even more so than in the States - and are much more common than name brands. Do they sound the same? Some do and some sound better. Some are actually made with better quality parts that American manufacturers don’t have access to. If you’ve ever seen the NUX facility in China you’d know these are not inferior products in any way. The boutique pedal business is an expensive business for small American makers and you will always overpay vs the Chinese clones which are usually just as good in build quality and sound great. It’s just the western bias most of the time that gets in the way of objectivity. Guitarists take this bias to new levels of art! These Chinese factories just have the huge advantage of economies of scale and can just build cheaper. Doesn’t make them inferior. Nobody on this side of the world cares about US trade dress laws and such. They don’t apply here. That’s an ethical question to be sure and I don’t support direct trade dress rip offs. But the actual circuits aren’t rocket science at all, pretty much anyone can learn to build a decent pedal and most modern pedals are all clones of the originals these days. No such thing as fairy dust - just good marketing.
@ultravirez According to Browne they based these two circuits around the blues breaker and ODR but they’re not a 100% the original circuits. For instance the “ODR” side has a more focused tone sweep, you don’t get a full sweep like the original. As far as LY-Rock they don’t modify anything but make a straight copy down to the esthetics which takes the least amount of creative effort on their end.
Got one , medium satisfied. I prefer the Nobel side to the Bluesbreaker that I dislike also in his original version. Anyway for 70 eur is a good pedal. Very nice the two soft clicking switches. Tested with Les Paul Classic.
Hey mate! For sure the Blues Breaker is much more traditional, but affordable Nobels clones are not that common! I agree with your analysis, but I like that the BB side has higher gain compared to the original one! Cheers mate! 🎛️🔥
Bro I see you worked really hard on this review, but sadly this video didn't help me a thing. Here is my sincere suggestion for you First of all, please make sure you tune the guitar before you play. It just ruins everything you play and we cannot hear the sounds of your gear properly. I saw that you tuned your guitar on the other comment but I recommend you to check it several times during your play since it seems you cannot perceive it in real-time. And come on, there is no guitar get out of tune just because you played some power chords. Second, I can tell your guitar skill is not very good but still, you can make decent reviews with that level of skills only if you know what needs to be played. It doesn't necessarily have to be difficult, sometimes you can just play open chords to show how it sounds in a certain setting. I wanna say I really like the concept of your channel and want to see more videos. I hope you better understand what you're doing
Thanks for your comment mate! Your comment is 100% accurate. I am far from being an experienced guitar player, but I am trying to compensate it with efforts. I am taking more time to study in the meanwhile, but it is really difficult with RUclips pressure and other work on the same time. I have a plan to have a more skilled player assisting me on those reviews so it will be more helpful for the audience! Thanks for not giving up and for supporting the channel anyway!! 🎛️🔥

@@BioHazardBHZ curtiu mano?
It’s weird, it looks like they have their own logo on the website but does it have the OG logo on the pedal??
It is slightly different. there is LY-Rock written where it should be "BROWNE AMPLIFICATION", but even the serial number they copied!
Browne just put a blues breaker and Nobles ODR in a box. Cant really complain about their copies being copied. Noting new to see here.

I'm acutally waiting for their Duellist V2 copy (TS+bluesbreaker) which have a lot more tweaks to customize your sound, for the same price.
Excellent! Impressive how versatile it can be. The blue side has tons of gain

Это крутая педаль❤
I like mine, better than the Cornerstone Gladio Double Preamp clone..
I sold it after trying to like it..
This one is more useful! The Gladio is super fuzzy and low end loaded! Cheers mate! 🎛️🔥
please tune your guitar before making these
Cheap EKO Guitar that doesn't stay in tune. Upgrading it soon! Sorry mate!
Check out Joy Fx, they do a few clones as well
I for sure know them! I am planing on bringing their new clone of the Wampler Pantheon on the channel on the next months. Let's see!
SHAME
This kind of review is not useful. We need a head to head comparison.
Hey Jorge! Unfortunately I do not have access to a Browne Protein... sorry about that! Cheers! 🎛️🔥
Useful to me. I don’t have any interest in buying the original. I just want to know if this pedal sounds good.
