Brian Kelly needs to start now getting ready for the first game. I'm tired of us coming out looking like we have no idea what is going on and him post game saying he has no idea why we sucked. He's being paid good money to be prepared and it's sad that it takes us 3 games into the season to start looking like we have a clue how to play.

What JD did in the FLORIDA game was just ridiculous!
The entire starting offensive line returning will be huge for LSU. Along with stud sophomore center DJ CHESTER who is beyond his age in maturity, this offensive line will be one of the best, if not the best in the country!
the offense isn’t the problem. they could honestly have 0 drop off. the defense is what is the issue. they have a new staff but moving perkins to inside lb isn’t that smart to me. but you gotta give them time to learn the new scheme
I honestly think that this oline will be substantially better than last year just because I believe that DJ is a better center than Charles Turner.
@@madhatter1110 Couldn’t agree with you more. I don’t have anything against Charles, he just struggled with the physicality of the game.
@jedolivier2688 I don't think he struggled that much. I do, however, believe that dj has better football IQ and has the physical toughness to be one of the best centers in cfb.

I'm not sure why the guest would completely disregard the culture element of the game. That is probably one of the most ridiculous things I've heard from a guest that is supposed to know about the game. Culture was the foundational component that allowed little ole Clemson to win two national championships and play for several others over the last 10 years. Same thing at Alabama. Same thing at Georgia. Culture is the most important foundation of a program. Honestly, I'm sort of shocked the guest would say what he did.
Culture = environment = coaching ÷ talent / fan base = college football.
Even with a shoddy defense, JD5 won us some games almost singlehandedly. We won't have that this year so we will HAVE to be more consistent in the run game and we've got to improve our run defense and overall on the defensive side of the ball to be as good as last year.
Matt house learned how to use his players in the last minutes of his last game as lsu Defensive Coordinator, he finally let the players go make plays and they helped win the game against Wisconsin in the bowl game, guys should have learned from Les Miles, being stubborn with get you fired, guys should go watch film of the Philadelphia Eagles defense under longtime defensive coordinator Jim Johnson , idk if that defense was a good fit in the NFL but I think it would be perfect in college It was maybe a little too aggressive for the NFL, but in college at a program like LSU with the talent they have I don’t think you can be too aggressive but playing a defensive that looks more like a prevent defense then a attack defense will cost you the locker room and losing the locker will get you fired every time, ask coach O smh kids aren’t in college long enough anymore to learn these complicated schemes they just want to go out there and meet plays so they can help their draft stock, in college it’s bombs away lol let the dogs out smh if young players aren’t having fun you will lose them pretty quick and I don’t understand why some of these coaches don’t see that

Defensively the coaches we have now are way better than the people from last year, I just don’t know from a talent level on defense where LSU is right now, offensively if we only run out of the shotgun with a pocket passer in Nussmeier not really threatening defenses, obviously the running game won’t be as good next season, Hioefully the passing game is better, but I. Hate running out of the shotgun in the red zone especially near the goal line, we gotta come up with more in short yardage situations
If lsu gets the running game going we may not see a drop of they might be better because although JD was amazing running the ball nothing takes the place of a true smash mouth running game, it beats up a defense and wears them down in the 4th quarter , eats up clock and keeps the defense fresh lol I remember Saban chewing lane kiffin out for throwing the ball deep and scoring to fast in the 4th quarter lol nothing beats a good running game not even running quarterback like JD a good running game demoralizes in opponent, and makes them quit
Spot on! 💯LSU should have beaten Ole Miss if we had running plays other than inside zone in the 4th quarter with a 9 point lead. And could have probably beaten FSU with ball control with a 17-17 game going into the 4th quarter.

LSU defense will improve way more than what the tiger offense regresses. Nuss will have more passing yards than what JD5 had last year. He will contend for post season honors. LSU TE room will be the biggest benefactor of Nuss at QB. That's where a lot of JD5s rushing yards will be made up.

I just designed a 9 game SEC schedule as if FSU were in the league.
Lsu fan- 9-4 i think is our season. We just aint got the horses on defense. Usc, ucla, ole miss, bama, texas am, OU are all potential losses.

They would’ve been humiliated and embarrassed vs Michigan or whoever they would’ve played. Georgia got hosed. Georgia, Bama, Mich were the best teams. Wash and UT were there because of inaccurate fan perception and flaws in the system. And I’m an LSU fan.

LSU’s offense wasn’t very good against FSU and Alabama. Against FSU, we were in the red zone 6 times 1st half and only score 17 points; scored only 7 points in the entire 2nd half late in the 4th quarter, basically garbage time. Yes, defense was very bad, but FSU offense scored 31 points almost all in the 4th quarter. Defense held them to 17 points 3 quarters. Against the best defenses, our offense was not good enough to win. I know my opinion is not popular but I rewatched every game at least twice since season end and even with a better defense I’m not convinced we beat FSU or Alabama. 🤷🏾♂️

Three national championships since 2003. Four national championship appearances. Two Heisman Trophy winners in four years. You didn't even make the playoffs. And if we had any kind of defense we would've mopped you. Should've won the first game.
That's alright, we can afford to have a short term memory when we win championships every few years. You need a long term memory so you can reminisce over the last time y'all were relevant. Finally have a good season and chose to pout at the end of the year instead of proving to everyone that y'all belonged. GA was probably better that any team in the playoffs last year and I wanted to see how y'all stacked up against them to see if the committee got it right. Instead, no one wanted to play so y'all would have an excuse as to why y'all got curb stomped.
