      Nah, we've seen enough of the guy to know he's not up for the job. He literally said after his second losing season that the team was right where he expected them to be. So you are telling me he told the AD before being hired that he expected to have 2 losing seasons in a row and he was still hired? If that's the case, both he and the AD need to be fired. He also refuses to hire an OC even though he is terrible at play calling. He's just a Sun Belt guy that blew his big chance. He won't be missed.

    The problem is if you keep playing musical coaches you get a reputation for a "hire and fire" environment. Hard to get quality and proven coaches under those conditions. Napier needs to play out 2025. If he doesn't turn it around by then at least potential coaches know they can get a few years to build things back up.

      @patrickking133 12 дней назад +1

      @@hoofhearted1833 the answer is.......yes. LOL Culture is tough to describe, it's like defining love or success. However, if you have worked for a company with bad culture and then another with good culture......you can visibly SEE and FEEL the difference. With a sports team it can simply mean priorities are out of alignment between all stake holders. It can also mean the players do not value the work that leads to the bi-product of winning games. My guess is that going all the way back to Urban that different folks in control have had different priorities and that has led to poor recruiting and other issues. Add to it the rise of UGA, LSU, and UT and that puts UF fighting up hill. This all combined with a win or else fan base that does not have patience. It takes time and with NIL chaos this is the WORST time to change coaches.

Heck, I like most ALL SEC schools except bammer, and it ain't that I don't like their program, I just can't stand their fanbase. That said, I LOVE Lane Kiffin. I wanted him at AU when we ran Harsin off. I'm all in with Coach Freeze now though and I think Lane Kiffin would ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE at UF. Like I said, I really like Kiffin, but I hope he stays right where he's at... I think it's a lot harder to sell Ole Miss than schools like UF, UGA, AU, LSU, bammer, etc. Anyway... You can put me in that part of the camp that thinks Mullen might have been just fine with some NIL help. But something seemed to just totally unravel for him after the shoe throwing incident. Hindsight is 20/20. That's why they don't make glasses for asses. Shoot .... if Will Grier hadn't flunked a drug test, Jim McElwain might still be there. After all ... he found a way to win with Treon Harris. Word is that McElwain was never comfortable with the UF way of doing things. Keep blaming Mullen all you want, but at some point Napier will have to be held accountable for his failures. Dan Mullen isn’t putting two players on the field with the same number. Dan Mullen isn’t losing games by giving up 4th and 19s. Dan Mullen isn’t coaching the worst defense and special teams in the conference. Dan Mullen isn’t holding the team back with ultra conservative play calling, no situational awareness, and horrendous clock management. Mullen has been gone for 3 years. Napier’s failures are his own fault. He was in over his head from the start.

    If we fire Napier after the 24-25 season, how many of those High Level Freshmen UF just signed, gonna be here to start the 25-26 season??? People like Spurrier and Meyer are the exception...NOT THE RULE... And even with Spurrier and Meyer. Look at their success...All, 'front loaded'. After 96, UF continued to be very good. But as a fan in my 20's during the entire Spurrier era...Things went down hill after the 96 Natty. Spurrier got blown out in some SEC games, and by Miami as well, in a Bowl Game. (Bama in an SEC Championship Game as well) Meyer had only 5 standout seasons...from 05-06 till, 09-10. Went 7-6 the year after in 2011 and then quit. At some point, UF has to take the time, to 'just be good' again. Rebuild a Foundation for now, of being Relevant...Gotta give an HC more time if you want to just learn how to be Relevant again...The Days of the HC with newest, latest system, being able to turn it around while still in the Parking Lot is over...Spurrier and Meyer both won fast on avialable Talent...Both came into a well established program with existing, well established, talent. And brought in a NOVEL new System. Right now, the disparity in talent, is not gonna be bridged by a 'system'. Florida was still a relevant program when Spurrier came to UF...Same for when Meyer came to UF...Right now, UF needs to have a goal of being 'relative again'. Then UF can start thinking about goals, like, Win the SEC, and Win the Natty...

    Stories about the demise of Coach Napier are greatly exaggerated, usually by "national pundits" who cover everybody and nobody at the same time. Year 3 in a complete program rebuilding project is when results on the field see a big jump and Year 4 is when it all comes together (culture, organization, recruiting, player development, team cohesion, comfort within and understanding of the systems/buy-in) for getting to the next level. Patience is crucial, blowing up the entire program after year 3 and starting over would be an epic mistake.
