WOW amazing work by Paul. With all the information that was provided from him definitely gave me confidence to rely on him to take care of my rig! WOW just wow, I have to pay a visit to his shop! CPO thanks for the awesome camera work, and providing us this information and the AWESOME job that Paul has done!
After watching this 5 part series it makes me worry a little bit about my upcoming mods with the same parts/equipment. Your mechanic is fantastic and his attention to detail is top notch. All of the little things he does are worthy of doing and I’m not so sure my local shop (or most local shops for that matter) are that diligent. Fingers crossed! 😅
Best gear install series ever. Your mechanic is a badass. In wish you would have shown more indepth video on shimming thebpinion depth. Thanks for the great video.
Hi! I have a ARB air locker on my rear differential. I haven’t connected the ARB air compressor to the air locker yet. This as led to a leak out of the bulkhead where the air line from the air compressor will connect. I am about to install the air compressor to the air locker and I am wondering if I can just proceed or I have to deal with the leak first. If I do have to deal with the leak, what should I do? Thank you
I did right after that it's funny he said I'm not trying to pinch this on lol... you did at 5:08-5:09 I watched it then went to the comment section as I knew I couldn't have been the only one.
I saw that too, I was squirming in my chair, I use a tool made for automatic transmission clutch lip seals (Polished very smooth). Also, the seal rings are "Quad Rings" made of "Viton". From Russia, with LOVE.
I was trying to see what the carrier bearing preload was once you stretched the housing and put it in tight. Usually they take another reading at the pinion without the axles in, then you subtract what you had for the pinion preload. Your carrier bearings might be super tight.
It's funny on multi part series' how the amount of comments dwindle with each video. Kudos on the case spreader, dont know if your only using it because it's an air locker or not, but still, a lot more hammering with drifts and punches on RUclips vs drop in with a spreader.
I NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT, I DO SEE ONE BIG FLAW. I THINK I WOULD PUT SOME SORTA DOOHICKIE TO HOLD THE COPPER PIPE FROM MOVING AROUND AND BEING DESTROYED. MAYBE WELD A CUTE LITTLE HANGER TO HOLD THE COPPER PIPE UP AND AWAY FROM THOSE ANGRY NASTY LITTLE GEARS.
I clean the housing very through, then drill and tap the housing and drill the drain holes before anything else is done, then a final clean out. From Russia, with LOVE.

Meticulous is an understatement! Absolutely fantastic job!

@Oscar Kody I watch on FlixZone. You can find it by googling :)
@Rene Aldo Yea, I have been watching on flixzone for years myself :)
@Rene Aldo thanks, I signed up and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it!
@Oscar Kody glad I could help =)

Awesome. Not many Tech’s take time and care. Most only care about the clock.

..who seen the pinched inner o ring ....when installing the air supply ring to the carrier ....
Pssssssssss pssssssssss when you hit the switch.

Great vid Can you tell me by deducting 5 thousands on pinion dept ,How many thousands would it add or deduct on backlash ?
Great series of videos. The only thing I missed, what was the final decision on the pinion shim thickness and how was it determined?
How hard are you squeezing the carrier as far as the actual housing dimension versus how much shims extra you're shoving in there

Do you have a video or know of a video where the air lines are run from the differential to the compressor? I am stuck on that part of the install.
Thank you!
That was like reading a good book, coudnt put it down.Ill bet not everyone is that thorough.
Merle haggard, think I'll just stay here and drink at 5:37? Pretty sure it is 😂
@ 4:40 the o-ring is probably a quad ring that has increased sealing capacity over a conventional o-ring.
Which arb locker specifically was this in the rear ?
Where is his shop? He is who I would want to work on my Jeep. Great attention to detail. Great video!!!
I love 3rd members.

WOW!
How long did it take the shop for this install?

dude - brah - I will lose sleep now knowing my candy ass 33 is sloppy - I'm doomed !
Yummy, cutting wheel abrasives sprayed all over the inside of the axle housing.....

It's called a quad ring
Wonder how picky he would of been if the owner wasn’t standing there filming it.
He's pretty much that way all the time.
Good to see there is knuckle busters still left who care !
