Excellent lecture, but when proteasome degrades protein, first the ubiquitin conjugate to the substrate through E1, E2 and then E3... so what exactly APC/C is? I mean it's component of E2, E3 ligases or something else?

I think that it's a really big enzyme (a cluster of proteins also called "E3 ubiquitin ligase") and that breaking sister chromatids at anaphase is only one of its jobs. I am definitely not an expert here - this video is meant to be a broad overview of cell cycle regulation for my AP Bio students, in case they miss class.....
