That was a meticulously maintained truck. Front end damage doesn't look bad. I'm sure to the right person it would be fixed. Better luck next time. Have a good day
that truck is well worth saving and fixing because the frame its self is not bent whats bent is call the bumper horns which can be unbolted and replaced
Owner took take of it most likely replaced the shifter assembly at one point there's no way that's factory after 260k, all cars that's wear and tear, it was replaced for sure at least the bushing
Those early round bodies still had a T5 trans. Mid '95 IIRC was the switch to the NVG 3500 that had the shorter shifter that would get all janky as the miles racked up
what hit the truck if the truck is so straight and still getting scraped for it? if you could get that runing and driving even as just a yard runner you could have a blast in it.
I actually owned a 1994 Chevrolet S10 pickup with a 4.3 Vortec V6 and automatic transmission with overdrive but mine was Red. Please don't let this truck die there's still life in the old girl
My daily driver VW Passat B5 (made in 1997) is the same, but with about 213k km. Sometimes I try to put it in reverse and it gets in 4th... It's great when you have to do quick u-turn on a busy road. But this is nothing compared to the other issues it has, but as long as it can move, I don't care.
That one was well cared for before it got creamed. I recall its GMC counterpart as nearly bulletproof without much maintenance and probably had regular oil changes, etc., as it was clearly not an abused vehicle. ..Nice find!
I have an '03 Ford Ranger FX4 Level 2 that was owned by an elderly man. Has white-letter Goodyears with a brush-guard, 5" KC lights, a color-matching hard bed cover since new. Meticulously maintained with 120k in basically mint condition. Definitely an old mans truck.
Ordered same Cooper Cobra RWL for my 00 blazer 2dr 4x4 5 speed. Looks sportier! Also was one of only tires which were exact factory size 235/70/15. Most cheap tires are 235/75. Also in my 20s lol!
I LOVED my s10 !! I should have never got rid of it. 01 s10 , 4.3 5spd. Yo I paid $300 bucks for it, dude thought he blew the motor but I knew with that size engine that there was no way, bought it. Tapped on the starter, fired right up 🤣 brotha was PISSED when I drove passed him the same day ! Hahaha, had it for 5 yrs, the paint, body, floor was amazing, that 4.3 5spd was quick boy, the spider injection went so I got rid of it.... i've got lots of pics
This video makes me miss my 1st gen s10. I havnt drove it since November of 2019 due to the harsh north east winters and now the tires are shot and the seat is gone getting redone. God i need it back.
I got a 2001 jimmy with a 4.3 engine they say they’re pretty good too I’m a Ford man but I love my little Jimmy it’s only got 106,000 I got it with 101,000 runs great good truck
I can see were this video is going. Lol Put it to the side for a month or two, this truck has your name on it! Hoping that all is well on the home rebuild. LG :-)
Almost worth saving but definitely will make a great parts truck Not too often do I see the pre airbag steering wheel S10s of that generation Same with the non tach gauges Very nice trucks overall
It was restored at some pont, looking at how good the floors are and the fact that the bed color doesn't match. That could explain why that gearbox feels so nice, it might have been already replaced or rebuilt. Still, that’s a perfect cab and bed waiting to be married to a new frame.
My brother has a brown '94 S-10 super-cab sitting in his back yard that has no rust...it also has no interior or wiring. He could use the front clip from his to fix that one.
I'm in GA and pretty much stopped driving except middle of the day in good weather, but I have my dudes who could get a clip from the pull-apart and fix that sucker in no time. Too NEW to throw away.
Nearly identical to mine. Except mine was a 95, automatic, black and had the 4.3. I replaced the factory rims with some Progressive tri-fins (sweet rims...look em up of you wanna see what they look like, they were real popular back in the 90s) mounted to Goodyear Eagle GT 2 rubber. I loved that truck, but the brakes were crap and I couldn't afford to get them fixed. (teenager problems) .......Memories😌
Yup, 95 brought the air bag wheel. Plus the rear bumper, as well as factory black paint on the pillar between the front and rear windows. Two more very short lived options for that generation
I more of a Mazda and ford truck type of guy but I like this little cheavy she likes really nice to me and it looks like to me she had ton on ton of life on this little blue truck I really hop she get saved from the junkyard If u get a nuther s10 from 94 U can probably take a nuther front end and put it on this little blue diamond in the rough jut put a salvage title on it she be a running and driving truck again she still got life in her just give this old girl one more chance
Thats almost aexactly like my 95 i drove for about 16 years. Only difference is mine was a standard cab. And was difficult to shift 1st and reverse from the day I bought it at 32,0000 miles. Well she went to 268,000 but had to send her off because the body was just about completely rotted off thanks to northern winters
Hey Jay Does This Jeep have the 4.0L AMC Straight 6 with 4 speed overdrive. If it has 4 speed overdrive ans works hoist much for the transmission. Would it fit a 1999-2005 WJ Grand Cherokee.
I can do the same thing to a worn out shifter by drilling another hole in the shift arm and putting a new roll pin in it... seriously too expensive??? That I question as you just put that tin wear off and then wait for fenders and core support to come in which it will in just a few days or a week maybe as it doesn't have to be a same year now. That truck will sell itself if in one piece and just need a front clip. Sell as a project rig. I have some nice rigs and it beats them
That would be a 1994 S10, 1994 was the Only Year that had the Round style Steering Column in it for the Round Body S10s, It went to the newer style in 1995, I've got a 1995 S10 that use to be a 2.2L/Auto, Then I swapped it to be a 2.2L/5 Speed and still didn't like it (Great On Gas, But No Balls What So Ever), So I bought a 1994 S10 that had a 4.3L/5 Speed in it and started swapping all that over to my 1995 Cab, Just a heads up, Some of the 1994 stuff ain't the same as the 1995 stuff, Steering Column, Dash & The hole in the Firewall for the Steering Column is just a few, So it was a fun Swap, But WELL WORTH IT THO.....
You have good access to car parts . So get it for a low price and piece it together yourself and give it a good cheap paint job and you'll have a good work truck.
Me, too. I had a 1995 Apple Red extended cab with a 4.3 V6 and 5-speed manual. It was a really great truck. I bought it new, my first new vehicle and owned it for almost 10 years and 160,000 miles. I miss it dearly.
That poor truck. It does go to show though, take care of your vehicles, they will take care of you. That’s probably a one owner, has to be with that many miles still being that nice.
The bed that different color LOL just noticed that my brother wrecked my 2014 6 Speed V6 Camaro with only 30,000 miles on it 30,000 miles on a 2014 Camaro with a brand new clutch because the previous owner didn't know how to drive a straight drive I'm going to try to buy it back from the insurance company and fix it the problem is every single damn airbag deployed so I guess it's going to be a Camaro without airbags hopefully I can get it back I don't know how much it's going to cost to buy back I hope I don't see it on this channel LOL
That was a meticulously maintained truck. Front end damage doesn't look bad. I'm sure to the right person it would be fixed. Better luck next time. Have a good day
Who cares what they say “good morning boys and girls of the internet” is your line man lol
ohernandez13 gotta love the good ole “drop a comment down below, let us know” as well
That's super clean for 260k miles. Almost every s10 I've seen of that gen usually just gets beat to hell
that truck is well worth saving and fixing because the frame its self is not bent whats bent is call the bumper horns which can be unbolted and replaced
Owner took take of it most likely replaced the shifter assembly at one point there's no way that's factory after 260k, all cars that's wear and tear, it was replaced for sure at least the bushing
I second this, my first car was an 01 S10 with 110k, the shifter was so much worse than that
I had a 97 Sonoma with 211K miles and the shifter was crisp like Brand-new. But it had been well taken care of.
Those early round bodies still had a T5 trans. Mid '95 IIRC was the switch to the NVG 3500 that had the shorter shifter that would get all janky as the miles racked up
Just sold my "papa special" 03' Ranger 5 speed, 97k miles. New owner was very honored!
Good Morning back at you 😁
That was a well maintained truck before the accident.
The right person would buy and fix this.
That truck could be salvageable like save it from the crusher
Yeah, I'd say find a donor and get to swappin' parts. Push come to shove, take a saw to them both and weld a new front end to it.
I hope someone saves the truck.
Michael Bustillo i agree I like the color
what hit the truck if the truck is so straight and still getting scraped for it?
if you could get that runing and driving even as just a yard runner you could have a blast in it.
Hey Jay! Always a good video.😀
Hey, thanks!
@@MXguy95 do you got that s2000 still?
I actually owned a 1994 Chevrolet S10 pickup with a 4.3 Vortec V6 and automatic transmission with overdrive but mine was Red. Please don't let this truck die there's still life in the old girl
I had a fiat van with those miles that seemed to have more sideways play in 1st than it did in neutral.
same, my daihatsu mira have the worst play in any gear, i called it the magic wand
My Peugeot 309 has 94,000 km and there is literally no difference in play between neutral and gears. Can't wait to put a new gear linkage in her!
I wouldn't mind seeing a video on the white Grand Cherokee 😀😀
Please save her!!!
Grandpa Special haha. My grandpa has a 1994 or 1995 GMC Sonoma
That one was well cared for before it got creamed. I recall its GMC counterpart as nearly bulletproof without much maintenance and probably had regular oil changes, etc., as it was clearly not an abused vehicle. ..Nice find!
White letter tires, the classic "Grandpa" mark.
Back in 94 you could get em from the factory like that, and the person probably did their best to keep it as it was
I have an '03 Ford Ranger FX4 Level 2 that was owned by an elderly man. Has white-letter Goodyears with a brush-guard, 5" KC lights, a color-matching hard bed cover since new. Meticulously maintained with 120k in basically mint condition. Definitely an old mans truck.
@@benchattin that, sir, sounds like a cool little truck
I like the white letters facing out. And im far from a grandpa
Ordered same Cooper Cobra RWL for my 00 blazer 2dr 4x4 5 speed. Looks sportier! Also was one of only tires which were exact factory size 235/70/15. Most cheap tires are 235/75. Also in my 20s lol!
Thanks for the parts Jay

How much for the whole truck
i bought it from him i dont want it but you can buy it from me for 400$ is that a good deal?
That shade of blue is beautiful
It's a cool little pick up, I like it that is a manual. Just needs a front end.
Love those rims I really like that style
This video makes me miss my 1st gen s10.

nice, I just bought my mom a 95 Blazer LT at auction for 1k has 129k miles dealer serviced
I can see were this video is going. Lol Put it to the side for a month or two, this truck has your name on it! Hoping that all is well on the home rebuild. LG :-)
Ya what a solid little S10
I bet that was a damn nice truck, and still would other than the damage. Someone loved it!
Almost worth saving but definitely will make a great parts truck

that truck was loved.
Love an old s10 ..
My brother has a brown '94 S-10 super-cab sitting in his back yard that has no rust...it also has no interior or wiring. He could use the front clip from his to fix that one.
Absolutely LOVE that generation of S10 steering wheel, always hated the big ugly one they used in later years (and most Suburbans etc).
Kept waiting for the face of the ghost from the Grudge to appear between the seat cover and seat.
Wish I could have those 60/40 seats!
Looks like you got a new project s 10 to work on.
I'm in GA and pretty much stopped driving except middle of the day in good weather, but I have my dudes who could get a clip from the pull-apart and fix that sucker in no time. Too NEW to throw away.

You forgot to mention the blue plastics. Some Cavaliers came with those too, and it was super rare to come by.
How is it rare. My dad has 2 s10 with the same blue interior
With the condition i was thinking it was low miles. I stand corrected!!
I believe 94 was the only year they made those steering wheels for the s10
Yup, 95 brought the air bag wheel. Plus the rear bumper, as well as factory black paint on the pillar between the front and rear windows. Two more very short lived options for that generation
1995 was the year that airbags for the S10 steering wheel was mandatory then later the passenger side got airbags
do a video on the jeep wj ? I really love those things and have rebuilt two of them to give them a second chance at life.
Hopefully someone can rebuild that one, it deserves it!
Garaged or carport, and driven easy...
Truck needs to be saved, and you need to keep saying "good morning boys and girls of the internet."
V8 time for that s10
A Corvette 350 would be awesome in that engine bay...
@@brentboswell1294 for sure 😎
We get it man it very clean..I would buy a new frame for it
I more of a Mazda and ford truck type of guy but I like this little cheavy she likes really nice to me and it looks like to me she had ton on ton of life on this little blue truck I really hop she get saved from the junkyard
If u get a nuther s10 from 94
U can probably take a nuther front end and put it on this little blue diamond in the rough jut put a salvage title on it she be a running and driving truck again she still got life in her just give this old girl one more chance
Wow its looks in so good condition
Except the front
I love those 94-97 body style s10s! Not a fan of sticks tho😳
So rare to find these trucks up in Canada anymore lol
I still need an opposed twin motor ride mower engine if u got any jay
I wonder why the airbags didn’t go off. I mean that makes repairing it cheaper at least.
Cheaper and Easier!
Rip I guess it’s getting scrapped.
Dosent have airbags. 1994 was last year for GM trucks not to have them.
WildBill236
Oh really? Wow they sure did make the steering wheel look as if there was one!
The sequel to the blue Silverado
Get er a new front end and she might have a few more years on the road!
Chevy frames are quite soft and easy to pull straight compared to many other trucks. My 84 Nissan broke my friend's frame machine!
Really nice little S10,pity it's taken such a smack to the front.Lots of excellent condition parts though.
Have you fixed the dirty Dodge (got a new pulley) ?
That truck was somones baby before it got wrecked you can tell that just looking at it
Hope it gets saved, or sold as a project.
The 2.2 is damn near bulletproof had one in a cavalier.
Cool 😀

Hey jay big fan question if you want a vehicle that comes in your yard can you take it or do you have to pay some ??
Hey Jay Does This Jeep have the 4.0L AMC Straight 6 with 4 speed overdrive. If it has 4 speed overdrive ans works hoist much for the transmission. Would it fit a 1999-2005 WJ Grand Cherokee.
I have a 96 Sonoma just like this. What is the going rate for a driver's side door.
Make a video on the Jeep!
Is it me or is the bed a little bit darker blue ?
I did notice that the color looked a hair off, maybe a repaint at some point?
Jay Smart ah hell for what year it is hell in good shape
You should do a video on that gold crv

Jay that is late 90 early 2000 I had one that was 2000
Do it up! It needs saving!
Check the door pockets there might be some werthers original candies in there...
It's so sad that truck has to sit in that yard now, it's in amazing shape, it deserves to be back on the road
Im betting this is a 1994 model S-10 Because 1995 was the first year for Driver's Side SRS airbag

Do the white WJ grand Cherokee
Those seats are worth something. Can probably fix it, but that frame rail is a huge blow to putting it back on the road properly. Such a shame.
I was thinking it was a 94 95 not bad 3th gen
See if westin will buy it for a rebuild
Damn makes me miss mine
Me, too. I had a 1995 Apple Red extended cab with a 4.3 V6 and 5-speed manual. It was a really great truck. I bought it new, my first new vehicle and owned it for almost 10 years and 160,000 miles. I miss it dearly.
It's a 1994 and that's a one year only steering wheel
Daniel Kinney yep. Only year of that body style without the airbag (airbag wheel looks better)
Man it's worth rebuilding
That poor truck. It does go to show though, take care of your vehicles, they will take care of you. That’s probably a one owner, has to be with that many miles still being that nice.
What a shame! Nice truck before she got smacked.
Chevy trucks like a rock. Motor built by isuzu

How much for the rim's
How much for that jeep ?
