Both are nice. Like another commenter said Keep the Cummins and use it to haul your purchases back. The best part about it was it being a manual transmission. Dodge’s are known for horrifically weak automatic transmissions. Father had bought a Chrysler 5th Avenue car. Right at 37,000 or 38,000 miles. Right after warranty expired. Boom transmission went out.

The old Cummins 12-valve with mechanical fuel injection is the best thing you could find. Now all you have to do is seal that transfer case solenoid - up here where road salt is all too common those solenoids don't last because they get salt and water into them.

Gonna comment again for the algorithm. Watched this vid of yours a few times. The cummins is a good deal for sure, but I think everyone is really overlooking the gas job which is rust free, and only has 50,000 miles. Easy, easy sell in my opinion. Your market is much larger selling a gas job than a diesel.

*That 3500 looks just like my 06 Megacab they are great trucks. No glow plugs in a cummins! they have a grid heater and work on pressure to heat and ignite the fuel. they have a lot more torque than the V8 diesels do because they are inline or straight 6 motors. i would say your price for the 3500 is pretty high but given the current climate of the automotive world that's actually pretty fair. mine has zero rust because it's a southern truck and i bought it 3 1/2 years ago they were asking $14,900 for it and at the time that was a good deal for what i have but I wasn't paying that for it. talked the dealer down to $9,000 tax, tag, and couldn't do the title because i bought it in KY and i live in TN. but you are in that one right money wise and as long as you don't sink a ton of money into it you could make a little bank on **it.it** was a pretty good score over all. I would love to have another one and specially with the manual in it mine is an auto and it pulls well (bought it to haul my 2012 Heartland Eljkhart Express RV around with and it does that well, it doesn't like having my 8x8x20 wells cargo hooked to it with all of my belongings inside of it however it's over 20,000 pounds of stuff , (20 years of married living) mostly tools and tool boxes. That 3500 would be a nice addition to my mini fleet but i don't have near that kind of money to spend on it. i'm living debt free right now in my RV on a property that i am buying soon and i kinda like the not having to worry about all those extra bills to pay every month. would love to have it though as you said they are great trucks (and i'm a die hard life long chevy guy) good luck with it though* looks like you may have found a new way to get some killer content and still make a profit too

Man that truck was a beast, and they just kept getting better and better. Here in Ohio, that 6 Speed 3500 4WD Cummins is worth 20 grand. I've seen worse shape ones with more miles go for 20k here. Nice scores man. I'm a Chevy/GM guy, daily an 01 Yukon XL, but I love Dodge trucks. I've owned 2 2nd gen rams now and I remember driving my dad's 04 when I had my Temps back in 05.

The guy cutting you off and forgetting to hit the stop, then getting a free wash is hilarious!
Pulled over on a road trip and parked away from everyone in a nearly empty public transit lot. Some guy parks right next to me and slams his truck door into mine. Shook the whole car, woke up my wife and I. Sat up and looked at the guy like, what, why? He proceeds to flip me off and strut away like he'd won the day. Get's on the transit rail and leaves. There's a huge dent on the side of my car door and the paint was scrapped. Obviously this wasn't the first time he'd done it. The truck door while mostly white, on the sides there was multiple colors of paint from previous victims. So I crawled up under his truck with some scissors. Chopped a length of his starter solenoid wire and cut off his transmission wiring plug. He wasn't going anywhere soon and neither was that truck. Never done anything like that before or since, but sometimes, some people have it coming.

Cummings are great, as long as you can take a loan out when you need parts (compared to gas) but they are reliable. Gauge cluster on Chryslers are known to have cold soldier problems on the main connection, super easy to fix, pull the cluster and heat um up and reflow them, they are not tiny connections so pretty easy for even novice soldier attempt. maybe not on that year but I Have done it on earlier years a few times.

Imagine if they put Cummins engines in good trucks

Used to be Abel to get some fantastic deals on the local towns cars, but everything went online and the deals dried up. You got super lucky for sure, that Diesel was an absolute steal, doubly so with the manual that’s very hard to come by. Well done !!

Need to take oil filler cap off while truck is warmed up and see if a lot of vapor coming out and balance the cap on the oil filler and see if it bounces around and falls of may have bad rings on piston and can cause to much blow bye .just a quick way to check to see if motor is good and they probably thinking that it may need injectors and that’s may be the reason they got ride of.

What a steal! Each one of those trucks would go for $10,000+ where I live. That cummins is far too valuable to sell though. I'd do some rust prevention and keep it.

I really don't know your situation but man oh man, the trucks are really both keepers and if someone met a ridiculous price then their driving it home and you will miss it. I see hundreds of quick flips in those places. I saw this one today and so first time watcher.
