I just drove past in December right before Christmas, I didn't even notice it was closed. This is literally the only Boston market I ever ate at! 👍 Thanks as always Wallie!💜
Also, up on the hill above Phantom Fireworks used to be the Sheraton Inn. They tore it down right before Covid. It was a landmark for many years in Greensburg.
Boston Market closed in July of 2022. I was the assistant manager when it closed down. Long story short the general manager was a thief. And cooperate did nothing to help maintain the building. Anytime we needed something fixed they would never fix it. On top of that we didn't get enough business. Covid really killed that place.
I haven't been thru that area of Greensburg for several years now, sure didn't know BM was gone...always enjoy the abandoned videos. With the way things are anymore you shouldn't have any problems finding places to film.
This is a must-fave for me. This Boston Market was the one I went to the most and it was one of my most favorite restaraunts I went to since my early childhood years. I loved their mac and cheese so much that I personally think no other mac and cheese, not even Kraft (or Valveeta) would beat theirs because of the super strong cheese flavoring (I wonder how they make that). I was thinking about suggesting this place to you to cover in the future, but I didn't want to bother you and thank you very much for covering it! I'm sorry to hear what you're going through at the moment and I hope everything turns out well for you!
I remember a few times for Thanksgiving my mother picking up a meal here. She didn't feel like cooking. Never actually went in though. Never seemed busy.
That’s right! I honestly don’t know how Phantom is making it. They get business 1 day a year. And, I had no clue Boston was out of business there. Never ate there, though.
Fantom is NEXT. Who buys fireworks all yr long?🤔🙄 I can find BETTER ways to spend MY money. I miss the ole "Hills". Walmart ran all dept stores out and now THEY are closing sites. They OUGHT to open a COSTCO!!! I've been saying this for YEARS.
We never had them here in KY, but when I lived around Nashville for a couple of years back in the 90s we had one close to us. I always loved their chicken and cornbread
Please spread awareness on what’s going with Boston market. The workers actually got paid late and the owner of the entire company hasn’t paid the bills to US FOODS, etc. there is a lot of places the owe money too. Boston market right now has NO meatloaf, ribs, pot pies, Mac n cheese, broccoli and mostly everything else. The workers are being screwed over and I love the company. We need help. I’m a manager at one.
eureka! they're all closed now! man boston market never had ANY mac & cheese nd got replaced with this nasty, watery, flavorless substitute, then everything fell off in 2023.. and eureka! they're all closed now! I'm thinking they all closed for that reason
That Boston market closed during covid. When they opened back up they got closed down by the health department for using expired chicken . They reopened for about 6 months-year and closed back down.
Our Boston Market closed cuz they were evicted.🤦🏻♂️ However, they've been negotiating with the landlord and may have been successful because now there's an opening soon sign in the window! Anywho, great video as always!
I just went through the drive through BM on Hulen Street in Fort Worth, TX last night. I just wanted dessert..... a large side of the Yam/Sweet Potato casserole.... yummy!
I enjoy your Greensburg videos. My younger brother lived there from 2017 to 2020, they are in Latrobe now. Saw this every time we went to that Mall across from there. By the way I work at a HEB here in Cedar Park,Tx. Come visit our store!
When in the Pittsburgh area you have to expect overcast weather. It is just the way it is. I think the month of January had 4 days of sunshine (that is being generous). Anyway, I used to eat at this one and the Monroeville one when they were good. I really liked the sandwiches. Don't know why I stopped going because I don't recall having a bad meal there. Maybe heard about the temperature violations they had a while ago (Can't remember when). I'm a bit picky about the temperature of my food so maybe it was why I avoided it. Anyway, sad to see it go because I did think their food was good and ate at this location a lot at one time. Thanks for the video.
sad to see them close, i remember you said you didnt like boston market that much, boston market was my default place to eat if i didnt want fast food. I remember when i first moved here from california, one saturday in winter my husband and i were driving around downtown pittsburgh trying to familiarize ourselves with the city and ended eating at boston market by UPMC shadyside which is a busy location, i think it is still open.
I'm ten miles west of there. My brother at the Ford dealership 2 lights down 30 east he gave me that same coat..Place next store was a u-haul since I could remember. Go 2 lights east make a left Pat stereo it's bin closed. And I whet to school with Pat.
I used to eat at boston market often in the 90s and I always thought it was great. The only one near where I grew up closed in the early 00s during the first bankruptcy. I recently tried them for the first time since then and my god they've gone completely downhill. There's one near where I live now and I got an offer for half-off a meal. I kid you not, the chicken and corn was completely flavorless, the mac & cheese, which was my favorite side, was super watery and the corn bread was flat and dryer than any biscuit popeye's could ever make. I wouldn't be surprised if the food quality is the sole reason why there closing probably for good soon.
3 in northeast philadelphia closed the same week around October. No notice. Just like that they dropped off Google maps and the stores went dark. I’m still fighting with corporate about deceptive advertising on gift cards.
I think the only two Boston Market's that are still open are the one on Baum Blvd and in Greentree here in Pittsburgh Pa. I used to stop at the Boston Market in Greentree everyday for lunch when I used to work up that way years ago. I enjoyed their food...still do today, but am not happy they changed their menu around and got rid of the chicken sandwich they used to have. I haven't been to Boston Market in awhile now, so I'm pretty sure they still have some kind of chicken sandwich, but not the kind I used to get back then.
I heard that Phantoms Fireworks in Florida exploded due to someone driving their SUV through it because of an accident that occurred just recently. You can see a video of it when the Fireworks started going off after the SUV ran it the fireworks store. It's quite shocking to see.
It was a great place when i went with my friend but after a while Some people complain about the food wasn't kept fresh and the food inspector came and they have to close the place until it was Brought back to their standards but it never since to get back on its feet, after that they close the building because people read about it on the newspaper and they lost a lot of costumers, very sad, i did enjoy my rotisserie chicken and mash potatoes with corn bread❤❤
I've never had Boston Market before but saw their commercials a lot as a child in the 90's. In those commercials, the mac and cheese looked so yummy and I always wanted to go there and eat it. The last time I was near a Boston Market was in Virginia when I ate at Arby's beside the Boston Market. Can you please explore the abandoned TGI Fridays at the Park City Center mall in Lancaster PA, Wallie? I used to love going there and now it's closed forever.
Never actually tried Boston Market myself. Got some sorta near me, but over an hour away by car or bus... kinda hard to go to much of any place that far, even when I can travel a lot. That being said, its even harder right now.
It's SO sad. Due to COVID, I know I DON'T eat out much or not at all now. SO many places closed. I wonder how these workers are making it. The only way from down is up, but so many places have closed down, it will take decades to be half normal. I saw a car like mine go by. I wonder if it was ME. 😂🤣I liked Boston Mrkt but kinda pricey for what u get. Hope u could find what u wanted out at Stoystown.😁👍
I was just in Greensburg pa about 2 months ago and I don't recall this was closed when I went by I believe it was open??and I've never ate in one of these they look like a nice place inside I wanna try one before there gone.
I know the employees because I do doordash they had 3 main employees that did all the work and the management was basically useless.. basically the employees were treated like complete crap and they all walked out on the same day leaving only a trainee there. And no one else knew how to run the business and the owner didn't want to bring in outside help to train so it closed... 2 of the old employees work at Texas roadhouse now happy at their new job
Moved to Greensburg in March and always love finding videos about the area
I’m praying for you Wallie ❤🙏🏻 we are here for you.
I just drove past in December right before Christmas, I didn't even notice it was closed. This is literally the only Boston market I ever ate at! 👍 Thanks as always Wallie!💜
This is surreal. I go by there all the time.
Also, up on the hill above Phantom Fireworks used to be the Sheraton Inn. They tore it down right before Covid. It was a landmark for many years in Greensburg.
I Like Your Awesome Yesterdays Video Wallie and Kayla.

I think I know the general manager, he was an as***le when he was a teenager and apparently still is! Nobody ever liked him!
I haven't been thru that area of Greensburg for several years now, sure didn't know BM was gone...always enjoy the abandoned videos. With the way things are anymore you shouldn't have any problems finding places to film.
I’m loving all of your videos, but these type are for sure my favorite!

other awesome video thanks again for sharing this video wallie keep it up..
I remember a few times for Thanksgiving my mother picking up a meal here. She didn't feel like cooking. Never actually went in though. Never seemed busy.
And before that Phantom Fireworks was a Toys R Us, it was a Children’s Palace!
Oddly appropriate string of history depending on how you look at it lol.
That’s right! I honestly don’t know how Phantom is making it. They get business 1 day a year. And, I had no clue Boston was out of business there. Never ate there, though.

I know I live here
Children's palace was the best place on earth..
My girlfriend (who was my friend back in the 90's) and I went there once. It was a great place. I been there a few times and it was always on point.
I love the music that you use during the ending!
I drove by it 2 days ago it still looks the same didn't notice the lights!!!😎
The Boston market where I live is still open. Keep up the awesome videos
I'm very surprised it's closed. I believe next door was a hair salon.
I think it was a "big and tall" type of clothing store
We never had them here in KY, but when I lived around Nashville for a couple of years back in the 90s we had one close to us. I always loved their chicken and cornbread
I had no idea it was closed, this area is my childhood especially this Boston Market
This is awesome I live in Greensburg!
I will love to see what they going to put there.
I remember when that area used to be Mohler Buick ... and part of Reihlie Chevrolet. Mohler went under and Chevy dealer became Star Chevy.
How sad. I love Boston Market. The one in Greentree may be one of the last left in the area. Is that one still open???

this is right down the road from me! the building next door used to be a supercuts
That Boston market closed during covid. When they opened back up they got closed down by the health department for using expired chicken .
They reopened for about 6 months-year and closed back down.
Always thought that it was open lmao 😂😂 when I drive by it
Live in greensburg and was wondering if this place was actually still open, this answered my question 😂
Thanks for the upload wallie always enjoy your videos since day 1 and you always come thru
Our Boston Market closed cuz they were evicted.🤦🏻♂️ However, they've been negotiating with the landlord and may have been successful because now there's an opening soon sign in the window! Anywho, great video as always!
Feel better, good video 🥰
Love the videos! You bet I enjoy to the end!
I just went through the drive through BM on Hulen Street in Fort Worth, TX last night. I just wanted dessert..... a large side of the Yam/Sweet Potato casserole.... yummy!
I like watching your abandoned places videos 👍😎 BIG scam left the lights and signs up believing the place is still open. LOL!!!
Who doesn't like making things go Boom!! lol. Hope you are doing well my friend. Take care.
the removed sign below was because the building also had a supercuts back in the day

The four seasons in Southwest Pennsylvania are almost winter, winter, still winter and construction.
Awesome video 📹 man
The boston market by my house in North Richland Hills Texas caught on fire, I'm not sure if there ever going to rebuild in open are what :(
sad to see them close, i remember you said you didnt like boston market that much, boston market was my default place to eat if i didnt want fast food. I remember when i first moved here from california, one saturday in winter my husband and i were driving around downtown pittsburgh trying to familiarize ourselves with the city and ended eating at boston market by UPMC shadyside which is a busy location, i think it is still open.
Let's go I was waited for this!
I'm ten miles west of there. My brother at the Ford dealership 2 lights down 30 east he gave me that same coat..Place next store was a u-haul since I could remember. Go 2 lights east make a left Pat stereo it's bin closed. And I whet to school with Pat.
Boston Market had the best food ever! From Detroit. I was raised in Irwin.

I've eaten in there a few times. It was a good "alternative" fast food place. But then it just quietly closed.
There was one where I lived in a Chicago suburb. Never saw many customers there. Heard it was good. Lots of abandoned places where I used to live.
Does anyone remember when Boston Market was "Boston Chicken"?
3 in northeast philadelphia closed the same week around October. No notice. Just like that they dropped off Google maps and the stores went dark.

It was a Super Cuts beside the Boston Market

It's kind of strange that the Boston market street sign is still up but the box below it is empty. Enjoyed the video.
The box below was the super cuts that was beside it.
Used to Be a holiday hair salon right beside Boston market
I've never had Boston Market before but saw their commercials a lot as a child in the 90's. In those commercials, the mac and cheese looked so yummy and I always wanted to go there and eat it. Boston Market seemed so promising when they first opened years ago. The one we went to recently was terrible.
I worked there for about year they always made so much food that would get thrown away at the end of the day
POV you literally live down the street from there😎🙌
Wow I didn't know they were closed lol 😂. I never went there though.
I drove past there when you were there cause this is litterly 5min from my house
I also love making things go boom fire crackers are awesome
Cool 😎
I wonder if it closed because of a water issue. Shortly after it closed the parking lot was dug up replacements done quickly and parking lot patched.
I'm one of those weirdos that love Boston Market!
Never actually tried Boston Market myself. Got some sorta near me, but over an hour away by car or bus... kinda hard to go to much of any place that far, even when I can travel a lot. That being said, its even harder right now.
Its been closed about around that time, this is my area and it was not much of a shocker. No one ever seemed to eat here.
It was pretty busy during the Pandemic. I did some Doordash deliveries form there often.
I'm glad. The food was foul. It tasted nothing like other BM. The chicken was slimy and the sides were watery.
Hope u could find what u wanted out at Stoystown.😁👍
this boston market had a sports clips with it
I was just in Greensburg pa about 2 months ago and I don't recall this was closed when I went by I believe it was open??and I've never ate in one of these they look like a nice place inside I wanna try one before there gone.

Supercuts that shared the building, hairstylists would complained about RATS! Boston market is crap.
It was this dead even when it was open. Food was awful.
Lease was to high and they flew the coop
I like eating there should have went more often
This looks like it was recently closed
I probably ate here over 100 times
That Boston market was butt anyway lol

I have no idea how many times I've driven past this one, never noticing it was dead.
I'm guessing it's another victim of the covid lockdowns.
