    I have had mine for 7-8years, It has worked wonderfully. Can't tell you how many things I have done with it. Jumped a lot of cars and inflated a lot tires. Used it for lights in the house, when power goes out. One of the best handy tools I own. Yes, the more you use it, the more you have to charge it. If I am not using it. A charge can last for several months. Don't understand the thing about, unplugging it from the car and then checking the level of charge in the battery.

    Good to have your detailed review on this. This was the first type of power system I bought as well about 3-4 years ago at Sears. I like the 12 volt to run my Hot Logic Mini cooker or a DVD player. I've used the air compressor the most to inflate my tires, love having that available anywhere. I selected this over the Schumacher since you can set the pressure rating and it will automatically turn off.
    Glad you mentioned about needing to recharge it once a month. Mine is still going strong after all these years. I love mine but it is heavy! I now leave it at home as I have a small jump starter and air compressor. I did upgrade to a Jackery 300 & 1000.
    Awesome review, thanks so much!

    I have a similar product that I really like. It's called Centex 5 in 1 from Harbor Freight. I have used the compressor and jump cables many times each. It has not let me down. They are no longer available but a 4 in 1 is still available. I'm glad you made peace with it.

      I've had it two years. I would also like to be a member of the Jackery club. It's been in and out of my cart several times. I don't think I need it, but it seems the thing to do.

    I've had mine for many years. Those cigarette-lighter type volts are great for plugging in Radar Detectors, Dash Cams, etc, without plugging into one's vehicle's electrical system/power. Love mine.

    I have one. It's saved me a couple of times when the car battery went flat overnight.
    I also use the air compressor a couple of times a year to make sure the tires, on both cars, including the spare, are kept properly inflated.

    So…12v cig outlets…there are many, many tools and appliances made with those plugs to either run or charge, e.g., jump starter, portable vacuum, 300w inverter, air compressor, Jackery 160, fridge, etc. These are essential tools for SUV living.
    The issue with all-in-ones is manifold: most functions don’t operate as well as stand-alone units and often, when one function fails, the whole unit fails. Battery life and charging on these units is sub-par. Even when off, the battery is supporting many functions in stand-by mode which drains the battery slowly. Having to always charge it up, reduces overall battery life.
    The jump started I have is small, powerful and will maintain its starting capacity for over a year, even after being used to start a car or charge my phone.
    The price of separate units will be a bit more than an all-in-one but if it fails after warranty, you only have to replace that stand-alone unit and it’s cheaper in the long run.
    Another great video in your series and I appreciate your willingness to show “failures” as well as your great successes. Thanks. 🌿

    We have something similar; bought it when we installed Loadlifter air suspension bags to help with the ride with our truck camper. Ours doesn't have the AC and DC ports though, just a couple USBs. It has come in handy several times. Ours is also very noisy using the air compressor and, yes, very slow to pump anything up.

    • @TheVanThatGotAway

    • @mjm3852
      @mjm3852 2 года назад

      @@TheVanThatGotAway We have tried but it takes forever! Also, as you say, gotta remember to charge (preferably on AC outlet) after being used as it drains the battery relatively quickly.

    Go with Bluetti, say for 1000.00 for 1000 watts, it also HAS 1000 cycles, not 500 like the jackery. By the way I have BOTH!! Hope this helps. 🙂

    Thank you for your honest review and insight of this type of power bank! I bought a similar Stanley, years ago before solar power stations were a thing, for the jumper capability and air compressor (which is just as loud) and it has saved me multiple times! It’s smaller than the Die Hard, but not by much, and heavy!! I have since bought a solar power station and considered getting rid of the Stanley, then I remember the times it has really gotten me out of a bind - so it’s still traveling around with me! Maybe someday you will doing a review of a solar power station? 😁 Safe travels Leslie, love your video’s❣️

    Those 12v cigar lighter plugs on the front are out- puts, just like the one in your van. Those are meant to run accessories and things that have an inverter for it. Plugging male to male with those could cause some problems. just letting you know for safety.

    I wonder if it would work for my fridge? I have a Jackery and it’s really worth the money. At the very least for van emergencies it’s a go to so win win. By the way the cigarette “plugs” are for 12v fridges. Thank you for the honest review

    • @TheVanThatGotAway
      @TheVanThatGotAway  2 года назад +1

      Hi Robert! I've tried inverters similar to that one. The biggest difference is that those run off of your car battery. They do give you an option for emergency situations by effectively turning your car into a generator, as you now have some extra usb ports and some 110V AC plugs. How do you like yours?

  • @NYCHFAN
    @NYCHFAN 2 года назад

    I have a Togo 330w battery. I think all of these need to be topped off, mine is every 3 months. Charges much faster through wall, slow with the solar panel, so it could be all of these are like that. We have separate jumper batteries in each car.

    • @johnlucier5654
      @johnlucier5654 2 года назад

      If its lead acid, its not that it needs to be topped up (it does) what it doesnt like is to be depleted then allowed to sit like that for extended periods. So topping it up prevents that, just dont run it down forget about it for a coupla months and think if you top it up regularly now its gonna be fine.

    That's really cheap for a 400W! I'm anxious to see how well it works, and if you'll get some kind of a solar panel, like maybe a fold up! Will it take a charge via solar? I hope so!

    These are great except for the lead acid battery which is 100 year old technology and doesnt tolerate over depletion well. Keep it topped off it may last awhile. If the battery goes bad a replacement costs almost as much as a new unit.
