Thank you for the shout out. I just saw it! It’s been a pleasure to learn from you. I have followed for over 3 years and missed an opportunity to meet you in person with Dean because I was having my first son. I have been implementing the mindset from the course but now we are fully staffing around a lean management style as suggested in your course so we can do this type of work at scale. Very excited.
Which PHP version should we use? 7.4, 8, 8.1, 8.3? Which is most stable and best for WordPress. Which version are you using for your websites? Please reply
PHP 8.1 This is currently the best option for most WordPress sites. It is stable, supported by WordPress, and offers significant performance improvements over PHP 7.4. PHP 8.1 also includes new features and optimizations that can benefit your website’s speed and security Although stable, PHP 7.4 is reaching the end of its support life, meaning it will no longer receive updates, including security patches, after November 2022. This makes it less secure and a less future-proof choice. While it may have additional features and improvements, PHP 8.3 is still relatively new. It may not yet be fully compatible with all WordPress plugins or themes, which could lead to stability issues.
It's not really a secret that with domain changes You can escape the negative classifiers. But from all the examples I saw, the new domains were hit eventually again and dropping in rankings. So it will be interesting to see how this case study fares in a few months.
So what is the key takeaway? Is it that you didn't transfer certain old content to the new domain, only the new and approved stuff that was on the old domain (plus new content on the new site, I'm assuming?) It'd be nice if you could provide the executive summary on these videos the way Jacky Chao does. There's always a few pieces of info that are way more important than the others. Thx!
