Another fantastic video you make things so clear. Even things I've heard a thousand times make more sense today after listening to your video thank you
I already left a comment previously. Yet, listening to more and more of your videos, I remain impressed by their clarity. Impactful about how we are functioning. This talk helps analyze in such a simple and understandable way the process of projection ! Many thanks for your eye opening teaching. Exploring with you is priceless.

Hi GP! I noticed that some of you videos talinkg about beliefs and law of attraction are not avaiable anymore. I love those videos so much, I always watch them from time to time to keep remembering that I am creator. Is that a way to make those videos avaiable again? They are really precious! Thank you and I loooove your work!
Hi Fernanda - Many of those I took down because I want to put more emphasis on the spiritual aspect of it. So many were so focused on getting the results that they ere not grasping the deeper import, which is, you are already complete and hole and need nothing external to experience that. So I decided to move away from all the LOA stuff and focus on spirituality and self-inquiry. I hope you understand.
Nothing is more telling about the current state of the world than the fact that this video has merely 50 likes and 1,465 views out of hundreds of millions of youtube users
Gaspër Sopi I still believe I'm my ego. I remember this identity all the way back to my 2nd year of life. Probably when I had to start making some of my own decisions because there was pain or disconnect coming from the outside of my control. It seems discomfort is the key to movement of any idea, action or desire. I exist for now. Like a flower.
The ego serves an important function in regards to our everyday life. The problem isn't that the ego appears. The problem is when we regard it as fixed and as our actual self. if you look closely you will see that there isn't 1 ego. There have been numerous. So the ego is not a thing. It is a momentary appearance. it comes and goes. So it is a function of the nervous system, like digesting food or growing hair. When it is regarded as a permanent sense of self we become stuck. We cannot move and we begin to show up in every circumstance in an obsolete form. Freedom from the ego means only that you become whoever the moment actually requires and you remain forever unknowable.
My motorcycle doesn’t have a smiley face but when I lean it into a fast right hand corner I’m the one getting a smiley face. So according to my experience, it’s the interactions with form that create the feelings of happiness. Spending time with friends, family, on the bike, walking in nature, it’s these dualistic interactions that are so important. That’s why I’m still a dualist.
That is true it creates the feeling of happiness. I was a motorcycle enthusiast so I know what you speak of. But that is a happiness that comes and goes. There is a deeper contentment that doesn't come and go which does not eliminate the transient pleasures but puts them in context and provides a background of peace against which the experiences themselves are even more vibrant and juicy.
I appreciate this video & would like to explore more the idea that happiness & love are the same thing. It seems a better understanding of each & how they are they are entwined may actually be beneficial. I think they are not identical, but overlap perhaps due to essential similarities.
They are different the way the taste of an orange and the taste of a salad are different. But they are, in essence the same and that experience of tasting is the continuum between them. This is where the diversity of what is experienced and the oneness of experience can be seen as the reality and the division dissolve into One.
Sharing and exposure does it. This stuff cannot be forced. All the variations of when different people became spiritual. If no one chooses to be spiritual (It happens when it happens), how can one choose what to do with and within it? Seems all one can do is merely observe what is already happening. Besides, observing it acivates it.
If someone get happiness by inflicting pain on others. Is this a worthwhile pursuit for oneself happiness. Then how happiness can become ultimate aim for everything we do? There is something beyond happiness? What is human spirit made of?
I think that part of what GP is getting at is we have not explored the continuum between happiness in things vs in the absence of things & we may be better off being willing to make this exploration
There is nothing inherently unhappy about form. As a matter of fact, form is nothing but happiness made manifest. Form is not the source of unhappiness. It is the projection of happiness out of ourselves onto form and thus feeling as if we do not have it. It is like complimenting (or blaming) a mirror not realizing that it is only a reflection and possesses no qualities of its own. All qualities belong to the original. And that is you.
@@GPWalsh Hi GP, you say in the the video that happiness comes from within; that it is our inherent quality, and we tend to project that happiness on to objects.... But what about anger & frustration? Are they our inherent qualities too, which we then project onto objects? If anger & frustration is Not coming from inside us, then where are they coming from ?
It is not happiness. It is your true nature in its purity. Your inherent nature. Undiluted by the mind. Permanent. Pure consciousness all by itself which you really are. Rest of them are your own misinterpretation and misperception and mis-experience of your true self, in a mind posture. Just as pure nature misinterprets itself as everything else.
Why not call it happiness? We use words to point towards that which is beyond words. Can you not say then that your true nature is what humans would call happiness. And, if that were realized as your permanent state, it would lose any sense of an opposite and so the word or concept happiness would dissolve into pure being.
Thanks, still don't get it, Im miserable and most peiple I meet are although not all the time, but generally , so I think its a miserable existance here, and when we die we go to a worse place a Void of nothing but despair and loneliness . If this is a dream its a crap one , If I really was God Id make it a good or interesting dream at least 😁 sorry ...very Nihilistic today
So the question is why are you miserable? Is it innate and there is nothing that can be done? Or is there a cause and thus it is a temporary condition that can be changed if the cause is removed? We can accept our current emotional state and let go of trying to fight it. Or we can look for the cause of our inner state and thus take control over it. My own experience is that misery stands on an absence of inquiry into its nature. To me, the possibility of being free of suffering is enough to warrant a heroic inquiry into the nature of being and the cause of experience. The various emotional and psychological states we find ourselves in do not appear without cause and do not disappear on their own. They need to be investigated.
The ego does want to cling to misery. Eckhart Tolle called it the pain body for that reason. The ego WANTS to suffer. I know, it's weird but it's true. As long as it can be somebody (even a miserable somebody) it is satisfied. The satori experience is the absence of the ego and thus is felt the bliss. In the absence of the egoic mind, we feel happy. Thus I assert that our true nature is happiness and that is obscured by our identification with form.
Thanks! This short talk completely changed my life.

Seems like I'll have to also look at the meditation referenced above 'The lake in the mind'

What do I do next now that l am able to access the silence/emptiness most times. Thank you.

Well, a nice old Martin D-28 is happiness lol
I'd have to agree with that. An amazing instrument
I projected my happiness onto a 800 hp Camaro.
Hahahahah, take it back and then enjoy the Camaro for as long as it lasts
The quality is residing in the projecter, in the projecter lol; my ego is one big projection manufacturing machine

Yes the willingness to explore rather than assume is the key to freedom
If happiness is our nature why did we leave that Void of happiness to become form ?

but trees are happy, so living surrounded by trees makes me happy?
There it is again projecting a quality (happy) onto an object(tree) out there. The happy tree is already an idea existing within created by a thought.
