*NEW* iPad Air 5 Unboxing - ruclips.net/video/K0_0FUSkMBk/видео.html
Which one would *you* pick for school? iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air 4, or iPad Pro? 🍎✏
Thanks for watching! Love you! 🥰
Ipad mini
Ipad Pro
air!
@@sanliy She's asking which one would you use for school, not which one you have 😁I'll go for the ipad pro!
The ipad I would choose would be The iPad Pro because it has a bigger screen and its more easier to use and write on!!!
I actually got the mini for school. The Smart Cover actually helps it from sliding around. Although, I do agree with you about the hand space for writing. I do think it's the perfect device if you're using it in addition to a computer. To have a small notebook/textbook nearby that doesn't take up so much room on your desk or on your bag as a full size is what I'm most happy with. It's a great complementary device. Thanks for your video, Janice!
I agree with you! It’s more of a companion device / small notebook but I’m unable to justify the price of it for being just a notebook unless you have other uses for it 😄
@@JaniceStudies Especially when you already have an iPad that you love using LOL. I don't blame you!
Bro how it is iPad Mini 6
@@shivaayritik6680 did u buy??
@@xingxanghanji6583 nope bro i need some tips and there are some confuison that y i have not buy yet
*"If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can't hear them..."* If you are reading this, I hope you have an amazing day!
Janice - In the perfect world, a student will have 2 devices for school.: an iPad (11” / 12.9 pro) or a laptop and a iPad mini. The larger devices are ideal for taking notes/ writing papers and do the heavy lifting major course assignments. However when it comes to studying / reading, this is where the iPad mini shines. When you have a few minutes between classes, riding the bus or just hanging out in the student union, or even bed as you fall off to sleep you can whip out the iPad mini and read your notes, run through your flash cards or replay the video to make sure you caught that important comment made by the teacher. In addition Quick Note can be opened by taping the pen on the screen and you can write down that idea you want to use in your paper. Having all of the apps synced across multiple devices makes this ideal. The iPad mini hits that sweet spot where your iPhone is not big enough and your iPad Pro 12.9 / laptop is too big. If, however, a student is to only have a single device, the iPad mini is not the right choice. In reality, a student is going to have multiple devices, the iPad mini is a good choice for students as one of the tools in the mix.
i totally agreee
This is the route I went with as a university student. I have the older iPad mini (with the home button) as well as an older iPad Pro (11 inch) with keyboard.
I use the mini to read articles and textbooks and the iPad Pro to write notes, do assignments, etc. The mini is much better and less heavy to hold for long periods to read ebooks on. I have an iPhone 12 mini so reading on it is quite an eye strain 😅
Exactly. You are soooo right! I have a 13-inch surface laptop 3. And I don't really want another big device. The mini is really perfect! I'm a college student.
Exactly! It fills the gap between a phone and a laptop perfectly, and as a student and now intern in a corporate office, carrying my laptop and mini along with my similarly sized planner and notebooks is going to be so much better than having two 13 inch devices in my bag every single day
Lol I needed this
Thanks
For left-handed people, the issue of your hand falling of the iPad mini at the end would not be a problem. We always start a sentence with our hand of the screen or page no matter the size of the iPad or even a regular notebook. I have watched a lot of reviews since I plan on buying an iPad mini yet I have never heard anyone mention this or include lefties in general...
I'm also left-handed so i was thinking about it. Maybe I'll go to see if i find one in some supermarkets in my city and try if it's better the mini or a normal one, but I'll probably go with the mini since i have a macbook and the combination would be better for a student
Hello, did u guys try it? Could you share the experience for lefties?
It’s an awesome option for students I think. Portable and powerful!
I used the old iPad Mini throughout grad school and it worked fantastically for reading and note taking! It absolutely worked. The refreshed design looks amazing. I have the iPad Air now but if I didn’t, I would go for this in a heartbeat.
Really? I don’t believe

Outta budget, I can't even afford 2$ :')
When the world needed her, she returned.
true
Not the best comparison for sliding when you show the mini without a case and then the other iPad with a case…
I love the ipad mini, it's perfect, but the size is the only problem here for school!
I agree! It’s a great device but the other ones are more fitting for students :)
It's called "mini" for a reason lol
I got the mini since I also have a macbook air and I think its a perfect addition! Something small but powerful. I was thinking about the air but when you have a laptop as well I dont think its very necessary to have a bigger device. Obviously why I didn't go with the pro! I use the mini for all school notes
hi! just wanna know do you use the mini for hardcore note taking or just annotating pdf/slides?
Selling my 12.9 Pro and buying the mini. 12.9 is huge, heavy and uncomfortable for a tablet. I'd now argue even 11 is too big if you want to mainly hold it and carry it around or travel with it for multimedia or digital planning. I'd now only suggest 11 or 12.9 if you need a pencil compatible device and a laptop substitute with an attached keyboard in one. Or if you use it more stationary like a second display or need more space for drawing less portably. As a portable device though? I absolutely regret buying it. Don't make my mistake, in most cases if you have a laptop don't go for 12.9
helpful comment!
im..broke dsjsdhhsj 😢
I use my iPad Pro 11’. I wanted it to be a sub for a laptop and with the addition of a keyboard and Apple Pencil it’s working amazing I haven’t noticed any limitations compare to a laptop. If it is within your budget, I definitely recommend it. If you’re going for just one device though, I don’t think the iPad mini will cover everything (such as note taking, lectures and writing-heavy assignments)
Helpful comment!
I love my iPad mini 5 and have been using it as a secondary device to study since 2019, and would upgrade to the mini 6 if it wasn’t still such a great device. It’s great if you are typing dependent for the majority of your notes on a computer or laptop - which is me. It’s great for one-hand content consumption when your phone doesn’t quite cut it. It’s the best device for me for reading ebooks, and I read a lot with my degree in the arts/humanities. But I agree, for those who want to have a stronger hand-note taking focus, and multi-tasking on split screen focus, perhaps a larger standard iPad, Air or Pro may be a better option.
You customized your new ipad so creatively and beautifully. Loved this video.❤️
I wanted to get a mini to replace having like a “pocket” note book and for nerdy things like D&D, Warmachine/Hordes, and Magic the Gathering, but over $500 is a lot to fork over for a device with those use cases.
I want this so bad, but my mom is just a hooker, and my dad a farmer. I hate being poor. All i have is an old toshiba handibook that runs android 4.0 ICS. 😔
Wouldn’t trade in my 12,9” screen anymore! So comfortable on the eyes 👀
I have small hands so it fits me perfect, I use it for learning my notes and for Flashcards reviewing on the go
It’s like a lovely A5 notebook!
It's looks good but I'm too broke😔🙃
It’s so cute tho
It’s so cute 🥺💜
I love your videos janice! could i get a reply? :D
Thanks for being here!! 🥰💛
I have the pink one & it sure is a delight to use it. It's useful when reading books, magazines, watching movies and even writing. It literally has become my best friend.
I had debated getting the ipad mini when looking to upgrade from my older ipad pro because i thought the small size portability could be amazing, but i rely so heavily on the split screen feature for note taking (textbook/slides and handwritten notes) that i couldnt sacrifice the screen space :/ if i wasnt still in school though i probably wouldve gotten it.
I love your videos! I have been watching since my first year of college when taking pre-reqs. I just was recently accepted into nursing school!
i have just made my mind based on your video. thank you very much. I am a Ph.D. student and I spend most of my time reading pdfs and other sorts of documents as well as making notes and highlights. So, i have ordered an ipad air 4 and the pen2.
thank you janice
I agree what you were saying here, the iPad mini is great for studying using the flascards method or you a type that always ‘on-the go’ student! But if you using the iPad for notetaking, it’s probably okay for some ppl but not for big hands especially ;)
I agree with you, I have the iPad mini 5 and mostly use it as a complementary device because it's too small. I like doing more heavy stuff on my laptop due to a bigger screen. I'd say it's awesome to take it with you to school and if you move around a lot. It's still an awesome device, but if you want something to replace a computer get the Pro or the Air if you're more on a budget.
I just bought myself the samsung tab s7 fe and I'm really happy with it. I was wondering whether I should buy the samsung or the ipad mini. In the end I choose the samsung and I don't regret it at all, but the ipad looks like a great option too!😁
same
Ive been using ipad mini 5 for a year now and i love every single bit of it. Note taking isn't that bad, im sure itll be better if I have the mini 6, wouldnt trade that portability over oversized ipads lol
I love my mini6! It’s the perfect companion to my iPad Air
Me watching people get expensive things that i cant afford were too poor 😭😭😭
Hey, you don't need an ipad mini for school, it's trash, a pen and a pencil is more than enough. If you really want it tho, maybe looking for other options like a Samsung or maybe an used one, apple products are just way too expensive and are not worth it.
For the mini honestly, it's better to use it with a keyboard, you basically can maneuver everything from that and it's more comfortable than trying to write. Almost using it like a mini laptop but not fully. Mini 6 looks nice but still using and doing all of that with the mini 4.
I really love to take notes from an ipad but, It's like a dream to me to have an ipad. 🥺
Love the way you are using it.❤️
OMG . Hi janice.. If I don't have an ipad, I enjoying your new video. Lysm..🥰❤️
Such a great tablet but it's so expensive 😔
how much price?
@@Naisa2006 In my country it's 6000 unit of money. And the salary of public is 3000. So we shouldn't eat something, shouldn't pay our bills or shouldn't live in a house. After two months, we can buy it in that way 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for the review, Janice! I've been looking for an honest review on notetaking in the iPad mini and you answered all of my questions, thank you! So yeah, I would like a normal iPad or an iPad Air... now all I need is money to buy it hahah
Anyways, hope you have a good week!
I actually have this iPad mini 6 pink but I don’t really mind cuz I can also use it as a phone cuz I lost my iPhone 😂❤️😂
pls do a macbook unboxing vid plsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I got the mini for school as well an it’s not bad an I don’t have to lug around a big 11 inch iPad it’s to big and I really like to pack light I have most my books on it an I have no prob seeing words I mean a novel is even small so this is actually a plus
I'm not sure which iPad I want I have an old iPad air gen 2 which still works but it's on its last leg. I mean I would love a pro or air but I already got a huge gift this year aka my mac book air which I got extra upgrades. With the mini I'll probably enjoy reading much more with it and much easier to travel with but the iPad would be better for school and my casual drawing. So idk I'll figure it.
I can't even get myself a new phone 😩😩. Crying in broke 🙂🙂🙂
I love my iPad Air 4th generation. It’s perfect
True. iPad Mini 6, in my opinion, is for the media consumer. It is portable and convenient to use but not to someone who will dedicate using it for studying. My sister owns an iPad Air 4 which is a necessity and a splurge because she's a medical student and loves watching, may it be RUclips vids or Netflix. I am set to have my Mini 6 on Feb. I am done with school and all I do right now is work and watch RUclips videos. Also buying it for the purpose of offloading usage from my iPhone, which I try to main solid battery life to hand down to family or sell. Just like you, I do not watch RUclips videos on my phone.
I am a medical student , what is the best ipad for me in your opinion?
Its very helpful for as students , but I haven't have a ipad ever in my entire life , So for students do have ipad , treat it well , because you guys are so lucky ❤️❤️
I have a Samsung tablet and I really am starting like the Apple tablet I really want an Apple tablet so badly
I like your channel very much
I'm poor idk why I'm watching this 😭
Not a student anymore but I just got the Mini with 5G version, hope it will be useful during clinical rounds. Love the size, best ipad size IMHO!
im thinking about getting one for the same reason. How do you find it after 3days?
@@mibaja2364 It's the best tablet for clinician, as for the size, truly portable and comfortable to hold by 1 hand (compares to my 11" iPad pro). Taking quick notes with the apple pencil is great, also, though it's should be used mainly for scratching and jotting lines, the screen is a tad too small for serious notes.
If you're worrying about jelly scrolling, it's definitely there, but not anything major. Reading articles and Uptodate and such apps is perfectly fine.
About the storage or 5G, I think having the cellular makes more sense (since in my country the Hospital don't have that good Wfi coverage and the speed is terrible anyway). I find 64gb usable, but your usage may vary.
It’s too small in my opinion. I think the 10.9 iPad Pro is perfect with the MacBook Pro. It’s probably ideal for kids honestly.
Not to be dramatic but the camera is better than my eyes and your voice is so calmmmm
Then Which should I take IPad mini 5 or iPad Air 4...Ipad mini be like for gaming who has smaller hand like me
Can you do a detailed size comparison between the 11 inch and 12.9 inch? Like holding it around and walking. App size comparisons? I’m a student with Christmas coming up and definitely don’t want to mess up.
Heyyy Janice !!!! Can u have a day when u will post a video
For my next upgrade I’m thinking of going for air or mini. Due to portability
I would choose the iPad, the mini is way to small for accounting students (probably any student). I already have a MacBook Air M2 so I don't have a need to waste money on an iPad Air.
1st
I didn't have an iPad. I also want
I've been wanting to buy the ipad air mini mainly for entertainment! for gaming and watching videos. I already have the iPad Air 4 and I want to leave the air 4 solely for student-based tasks. Note taking, reading, etc.
hopefully it is a giveaway if it is hopefully it is me
Early!
Could you replace it for a laptop? 💖
Cant wait for the Apps Video next week☺
I would say that for most of the students the new iPad mini 6 would maximum Replace a Kindle and not more than that. so it is a great device for a casual note taker.
I'm an economics student, and I'd rather prefer the iPad mini 6 to use for college. It is the perfect iPad for me.
For taking notes, programming machine learning (Python and R), using Excel/Office, reading PDFs, watching videos, dialling, etc. The iPad mini is practical to use, is light to carry and to transport, weight is a really problem for me. Also, because the iPad mini 6 is more potent than the iPad 9, the iPad mini 6 supports heavy computational programs that I need to use.
Hi Luis, I’m also studying programming. How does it works studying match and doing practices with it ?
I meant math
Is it just me or someone else also who just want to use it but only can dream of having it
I got the ipad air 4 for school and got rid of my 12.9 inch pro since its too big...
However, I still think that the mini is handy so I really hope I can get it as a birthday gift or something
Anoyone knows what the app is called for flashcards? I am searching an alternative for Anki.. (and also a free one)
I wanna buy an iPad Mini, and im concordant to you, thats the perfect choice, but i want it as a gift mostly.
Best ipad for medical students within 500$?
Thank for the video, which app are you using for note taking? Merci!
If..everyone who has what they don't have what i vant long ago the mini ipad:((((((((
I just came across your channel and I think it is the best thing that has happened to me today
You are medical student ?
the mini looks really smaller than the iphone 13 pro max like literally 😭
She writes wierdly .That adds to why she doesn't like ipad mini.
Hi Janice. Thanks for your authentic and genuine reviews. The only one that's really on spot and precise on youtube!
Hey Janice! Plz make a comparison between Ipad pro 12.9 vs ipad pro 11 inch for students.
3:40 can someone tell me what program/app she was using ?
Hi I’m a student in college and I have an M2 MacBook Air and AirPods Pro 2 but I’m considering getting either an iPad mini and a pencil or selling my AirPods and getting AirPods Max which do you think I should do?
Actually the air one is too big for my hands
I have the ipad pro 12.9 inch 2020 and i am in love with it ! I can do literally EVERYTHING i right notes i draw i watch youtube video i play games ! But i really like and the ipad mini ! Its so cute small and you can take it everywhere , which is something that is hard to do with the ipad pro 12.9 inch bc its a size of a laptop 😂
This is why I've asked for a Mini 6 for Xmas. I've found I don't take my 12.9 out on the bus or train, or in cafe, and leave it at home all the time. So I'm missing out on reading time.
Serious question: I’m going into engineering classes in high school this August, should I get a MacBook/Laptop first or a ipad for notes, since the district provides chrome books
Maybe you should get an iPad for note taking since you’ll have a computer already. Then you can get a MacBook later on.
I WANT THUSISIISI
You make our day better with your vids 💜
How much is the mini?
What iPad should I get for use as a "laptop", I seem to like the portability, you can also recommend me tablets not just from apple that are nice, and efficient. Im looking for something on daily use that I can rely on but I don't know what to get. I see the iPad mini 6 is a nice device, but I don't know how I would feel getting my work done on that small screen.
I used to have an iPad mini and I wanted to use it for school, but the thing was that in my school we usually had to keep out devices vertically and it was difficult for me as my Apple Pencil was getting less space to write and my hand kept falling off which was pretty annoying and as sometimes I wanted to keep the flow of writing, it felt like the pencil didn’t have palm rejection. I told my father about it and he noticed it pretty clear. He decided to get me an a iPad Pro and of course he couldn’t just throw it away, so he gave it to my friend who made a use of it. (She didn’t do note taking) Now I can use my iPad comfortably with no distractions 😊
I just got one and in the same color
*You can't always wait for the perfect time. Sometimes you have to dare to do it because life is too short to wonder what could have been...*
Would you recommend this to a kid in 8th grade for taking small notes and doing project like Google docs ,slide etc?
Yes
Where did you get that pen from
I think the sole purpose of the iPad mini was for Apple to compete with eReaders like the kindle and Nook. So with people who usually purchase the mini, like myself, I actually have the exact same one in the vid and am typing this comment on it, that’s what it’s good for. I occasionally,y use it to watch videos, check social media, but I mainly read and use GN as a journal for my PTSD symptoms. I had the iPad Air 4 and HATED the size. I also hated how hot it got. Definitely a mini user for life. This on being my 3rd one.
So fake studying.
I'm a 200lv pharmacy student from Nigeria, I really need a tablet to study using multitasking split-screen and pop-up view features... Anyone who can help me with one?🙏
I like to choose iPad mini 6
Hi 👋🤩
Touch screen laptops exist guys!!! Some are 300-1000 euros as well. And will be cheaper when bought second hand.
