At last a proper review on this diagnostic tool.
I just tried mine for first time today on a vauxhall.
It clear the light for the airbag and pretensioner light.
Not sure why yet it was throwing loads of codes and there are no other problems on this car.
Just keep in mind everyone. This does not have full bidirectional functions. It gives you a few options that are pretty generic and common though. Also, this will not be able to communicate with all systems on some cars without adapters such as BMWs with the round connectors, kia/Hyundai, Chrysler etc. Many cars require specialty connectors in order to communicate with all systems. If you're a professional technician, I would advise buying the autel Maxisys kit instead or a used snap on Solus

Autel has now dropped a massive update for the mk808.
This one is priced within range of the DIY'er. Still very useful.

i purchase this scan tool on ebay it has fast delivery i tought it was 1 month for this tool to deliver i was surprise its only 5 working days.. and i update the available software it was fast.. i tested it on the unit that i fixing its a good product i can diagnose all system available in the unit.. thanks autel

Very helpful video. I bought the similar unit with the Bluetooth dongle (no cable) and TPMS.
Very good unit for the price, IMO. It's way more than a code reader, but a serious shop quality scan tool.

What is the difference about Autel,Launch and Snap-on ?
Autel has a nice features to do TPMS
Launch do better on bidirectional contorl with low price
Snap-on support more special car model but not cheap
It would have been nice to see a more detailed view of a DTC/Fault code and what information it will provide; possible solutions, parts, labor/time?

hi Dr, can this mk808 use for key programming and FOBS? it mentions on the features that it has IMMO but autel usa tech support said that 'No for key programming feature" for mx808 on their facebook!

I like how you went threw the features, but I have a question about one that I didn't notice. Did this do evap live data showing fuel pressure sensor absolute pressure and running voltage?

I'm considering buying this scanner as I do quite a bit of diagnostics at the shop I work at. How does this scanner work for abs and airbag diagnostics? Are the ergonomics as far as accessing data pids half decent? It looks a totally legit scanner, and it's definitely in the price range I'm looking for. Would like to hear a bit of a detailed opinion from someone who's had some hands on time with it.

@@TheJosephayal I ended up getting the MX808, which is supported by Autel U.S. Overall, satisfied with the purchase. For what it is, and what it does, I think it's worth the money. Our main scanner at work is a snap-on, but the Autel will serve as a nice backup, and will give me something to use for my own vehicle, as well as any potential side work.
I just bought the machine and black I seen this on RUclips and I am a member too so thank you to shape for your class had brought a lot of things up to date with me I can't wait till they delivered to me so I can start using it learn how to use it on my E350 Mercedes ben three-point sold 600 turbo diesel Bluetec right now with the problem is it won't start my steering locked up you got any advice keep up the good work thank you for the class I would be watching in the near future

Thinking of buying one. Does it have the "rodeo" test for a 2009 Mercedes SL550. I believe the "rodeo" test is under chassis then suspension. My car has the ABC (active body control) system.

I have one of these and it is great! I just can't figure out how to get it to read/clear the codes on the transfer case control module. I'm working on an 04 Chevy Tahoe.
It should read the codes on the transfer case but you won’t be able to clear the code without relearn process I guess I’m not sure .

I'm about to buy this one to help people to find and buy a fair , good car :)
For all those considering this scanner; it DOES NOT have bi-directional controls. I would spend a little more and get an Autel with it. It is indispensable in determining evap problems. I highly recommend the DS808. It is the upgrade to the excellent DS707 that has served many for years.
My guy what u flipping out for, It most certainly is bidirectional, there are all sorts of scanners out there some with more bidirectional controls than others. Even some snap on are lacking in some things, compared to some of these chinese scanners. Prob half of the people watching this want some basic bidirectional control and not looking to write code to the ecu, they want something affordable that will get them a lot further in diagnosis than cheap little hand held, so now you want them to spend what? 1000k plus? I did a quick google of the model u suggested and all the others came up instead meaning it doesnt exist or it isnt popular at all.
