When Bernadette beats Netflix documentaries 👁️👄👁️
“I have teamed up with the Broadway costume industry” is such a powerful sentence
Bernadette speaks in Times New Roman.
ugh we stan a historian who understands the practicality of broadway historical costumes, and not dissing/roasting it because its inaccuracy.
"We always make a mock up" - Rachael Maksy is shaking 😂
It never occured to me that the Costume Industry didn't have a guild to represent them. This definitely has to change. These crafts-people and artists need protection in times like these. I hope that happens soon!
That was a roller coaster of a video, from "Ooooooh behind the scenes access!" To "oh, but the struggle.." to "Spencer! Pretty, pretty Spencer!!" and finally landing on "We can save them with our views and purchases!"
I can't wait to see all the little baby spencers that will be cropping up early next year. 😍
I can't imagine the pain and the stress these people are going through. The industry is small but extremely important for art, history and theater and you can see these are people who love their job.
holywood actresses: i wore a corset and i died oh my god--
I'm impressed that puffy pirate shirt sleeves fit in those snug jacket sleeves!
“Wherein I did not film because the lighting was trash” just made me cackle. I love her mixture of “proper” vocabulary and millennial/gen z language 😂
I love how this video is filmed like a love letter to the industry as a whole. It feels very fluffy and it makes me happy.
Pattern: purchased. Donation: made. Mine will be rifle green with silver buttons, because Sean Bean. 😁
Internal voice: "You're going to make this and wear it round the house whilst listening to It's Quiet Uptown which will then make you cry, aren't you?"
This is beautifully edited - such a lovely glimpse into the world of these talented artisans (including you, of course) and why they are so important!
It's horrifyingly sad that artisans such as these incredibly talented people are left to fend for themselves in times like these. That said, this is a fantastic initiative and I will get that pattern for sure! Looks gorgeous and I will try to adapt it into a full-length winter coat!
So many things I loved about this video but I must say that "Victorian clack clack" and "Tolkiencore hobbitty music" are the best captions I've ever seen!
youtube: why aren’t they skipping the ads they ALWAYS skip the ads what’s happening
