An environmental thriller that probes the murky depths of the Southeast Asian fishing industry: we follow investigative journalist, Matt Blomberg, and ocean activist, Paul Ferber, in their dangerous efforts to create a marine conservation area and combat the relentless tide of illegal fishing in Southeast Asia. Along the way a new generation of Cambodian environmentalists are inspired to create a better life for their people.
Job well done, thank you for standing for what is right,it takes brave people to take action to start a change,if we dnt stand for what's important we're going to be in trouble, gd job.👏👏👏👍
🖤🔥💛💚congratulations, team work, dedication and passion succeeds and gets stronger togetherness.....big UP your selves....well done the journalist who undoubted had a part in opening the correct eyes........PAUL give thank and blessings...🖤❤️👊✅
It is extremely noble of a Westerner to travel to a third world country to report or be an activitist against the 'injustice' people there are affected highlighting corruption etc. Leaving behind them the same evil and corruption that has wreaked havoc on entire countries either through corporate greed, war or a combination of the two.
It's mind blowing how much of this is going on. The entire south Pacfic is similar. Africa has the same issue but with Chinese fishermen. Australia has illegal fishing issues too. Is there anywhere that doesn't? Great work guys. That's a massive result.
Australian illegal issues are also caused by Australian trawlers. I've camped on every beach (legally or not) from Tully Heads up to Cape Trib and witnessed trawlers coming very close to the beach (against regulations) and in the morning the beach is covered with dead by-catch, coral, sea grass and other signs of damage to the sea floor.
Could China's 9 dash line pushing other nations out of the south china sea, be making the remaining countries (such as Vietnam) compete & fight each other for what little is left to divide?
@naejin: YES! The same applies to African countries. Local fishermen have been reduced to abject poverty because of the Chinese fishing fleets which exploit the African fishing zones by bribing corrupt politicians and thereby acquiring fishing rights. You are on the right track!
Vietnamese fishermen often enter Indonesian territory, they steal and catch fish in prohibited ways, but several times the Indonesian coast guard has caught and sunk their boats.
Yes sad once again 😢 poverty 😢 is caused and population growth 😢 and corruption 😢 go hand in hand only money can solve this rich country's like Australia 🇦🇺 should pay the fishing 🎣 people like in Europe 🇪🇺 and Australia not too fhis 😢 its only way to stop over fishing 😢
This is just one example this is happening all over the world. The oceans will not sustain, and it will soon have astronomical worldwide repercussions with mass migration, and starvation, unfortunately

this is incredibly important work they're doing. Can't believe it doesn't have more views. I think I first saw it a year or two ago. Well done people!
Superb, and damn vital, work that you are all doing. Many thanks for your perseverance and determination. Let's hope the next generation is inspired.

Thanks you, you're more Cambodian then most Cambodia politicians.
Out of sight, out of mind 🚪 🌊 ✔️
It’s Certainly a Domino Effect with the CCP Corrupting, to Enslaving less developed nations, to do their Linear Bidding ☣️⚠️
The government of Cambodia should take drastic step to stop the encroachment of Chinese fishing in their territory
how?

Does Cambodia not have a navy?
If the world does not stop over fishing by 2050-2075 there will be no more fish and many people will starve 😥 BT 🇨🇦
