Great stuff ! love the MUG's . Girlfriend had to work so I did not make it. But I do make the Ham fest closer to me in NY . I am going to donate some antenna kits to a school program for HAM radio. They are fun to build and you learn a lot making and tunning them, 73's
Thanks Michael for taking time before leaving camp Sunday to work a those contacts on 40! I had a great time at Hamvention, and it was a long haul back home, but it was POTA fun along the way despite conditions! 73 from Mike ND7E.
The Weather Stations booth was mesmerizing! I'm excited to see how you put that thing to use. Picked up a Spiderbeam mast as well. Still pondering how I'll tackle that one with a EFHW or G5RV
Had the Peet Bros Ultimeter 2000 about 20 years ago (that model is very long in the tooth). The temp/humidity sensor was very inaccurate. They replaced it twice saying they were getting better humidity sensors. I got so frustrated with it and eventually sold the whole thing for a Texas Weather Instruments professional station. Hope yours works better than mine. Great video. Fun toys. I really like the geochron
Great Stuff but that windsock Flying pole looks like my Eagle One antenna I was going to order an extra one of them and they said they was having problems getting the fiberglass mas mine came with the tripod and all with it I have mine set up in my back yard they do a fine job it's been up for two years now and I don't know how many times I have gotten you on it with a 9:1 Unun and my FT-891 I have got to get another one for POTA Now that it's warmer Weather . I got to get back out there and play Radio. 73 K4BWN From Alabama
I love my geochron 4k, but there are annual subscriptions to get a lot of the nicer, ham related functions. That was just something I didn't know about when I got mine 2 yrs ago. Hope you enjoy it!
Enjoyable video, Mike. I just picked up one of the larger Spiderbeam masts from a friend and I’m wondering how to anchor the mast to the ground. Do you have a plan yet for how you are going to anchor your larger mast? Thanks, Mike WB0BEE
Staying within your budget?? That is un-American. 😉 (jk) I like seeing the items that aren't necessarily the hot piece of gear. I'm pretty sure that mug is Cardinal red also. 😀 U-rah-rah
I want that 23-foot Spiderbeam mast and carrying case. If my SOTAbeam mast were to accidetally break (hint, hint...) I'd sure like to get that Spiderbeam as an upgrade replacement. 😂 KZ9V
Dear Mr. Michael Martens(KB9VBR), Those pieces of gear will work nicely, unless there's a defect that can't be detected until they're connected. Even reputable products from reputable brands have a few hiccups here and there. Time will tell if you have one. Who has the call sign KC9BME? I might want to give them a holler on the radio when I get a license at some point in the future. 73, Colton Magby.
Hamsource was the Vendor who had the Jackite poles. I bought one too!
I got to see Michael at Dayton. It was crowded. I yelled, "Michael". He turned and looked - almost panicked. Then I said, "Love your show!" He smiled.
It was great meeting you and your lovely wife in the flea market. Love your videos. Keep them coming!
Thanks for the photo op @ the POTA Tent Michael, 73's VP9NR

Great video and I love the teardrop camper. I saw your other videos. From AK5FM.
Already drank out of mine. 😊 another great year, and looking forward to next year!
The mugs are gorgeous ❤

It was an awesome time. I’m glad we were able to do that quick activation Sunday morning.
You will love that 23 spiderbeam mast. I have one and it very well built.
You will love that Spiderbeam mast! The Jackite was a no-brainer also. Nice haul over all

Rain gauge would come in handy right now! Looks like some great deals of some of those things.
Thanks for the video Michael. I am hoping to pick up a Spiderbeam mast soon.
Nice haul!
Great video. Missed the show due to graduations.
Geochron be like “Do you want to play a game ??”
IKR???

Yeah. They push a lot of data to the unit, so I understand why they use the subscription model for those features.
Did you choose Badger Red for your mug?
Where is the list of items you purchased? Or the links.
Link for the mugs?
Dang! I was hoping those mugs were for sale somewhere!

I’ve got a drive on base for a flag pole. I’m gonna see how the mast fits in it. Otherwise I may devise a 3D printed attachment to help guy the mast

Was it BEST NEST that was selling Jackite mast(out of Ohio) ??
Should look into the Inovato Quadra instead of the geochron...great system. For under 50 bux..Mine is on all the time. 73, W2GR
I’ve seen Hamclock setups running on a raspberry Pi, but the Geochron is just a totally different aesthetic
i MISSED THE JACKITE POLES, BEST MAST I HAVE......73 N3LJS

73,
Colton Magby.
KC9BME is my wife Christine. She often shows up in many of the POTA videos and you should have seen her in last weeks Hamvention video.
@@KB9VBRAntennas Oh, okay. I probably missed her in the background at some point or something. I'm not sure which. Tell her I said "Hi."
It's not legally a haul unless it includes a radio 😊😊
No radios this time around, although I had my eyes open looking for deals.
What did you expect to spend at Hamvention?
Money!
