ENDURO SECRET FOR MAXIMUM GRIP - Lucioli Inner Tubes

  • I finally had the opportunity to test the Lucioli Inner Tubes and I can say that I am satisfied with the quality of the product and grip improvement. We all know how much it is traction is important in hard enduro terrain, to get best grip we need really low pressure in rear tire.
    There are several ways and products to achieve this, first way is to use normal tube with two rim locks but we don't suggest you that because your ride will end in short time with pinch flat. But with lucioli inner tubes that will be not the case, because its made from high quality material with 7mm thickness. Of course not every system for enduro is perfect, not even this one. This system for rear tire is complicated to install when we compare to tubliss,nomousse and bib mousses. But with a little practice it won’t be a problem.
    Why choose this system?
    It gives you the ability to use low tire pressure what will make huge improvement in grip! It is a safer system than a regular tube and its really hard to get pinch flat but keep in mind nothing is bulletproof.
    Bib mousse for extreme enduro (0.3bar) will last only few riding days (made just for racing) and lucioli 7mm tubes will last much more. On enduro forums i can find information guys made over 200 hours on this system, but i cant guarantee i need to test it first. I can’t wait to do 100 hours, and then I will tell you my opinion about Lucioli Inner Tubes and what are its advantages and disadvantages of using it.
    My first impressions are
    In the hands it seemed quite heavy as a mousse and a half, but in riding this weight is not felt and the bike behaves as always. Traction is very good in slippery hard terrain with supersoft tyre and there is no big difference towards mousses. The only thing that can be felt is that the tire absorbs the impact differently maybe because i used really low pressure i don't know.
    I need more testing with different tires and with lower and higher air pressure. After that, I will be able to give my honest opinion because I am still impressed how system worked in first test. Thank you for watching, and if you are interested in this system please sub to channel i will update more info soon.
    Also btw, using stuff like this is feeling like cheating in enduro, because its making riding so much more easy.

    Mousse and a half is def heavy. Looks interesting but i'llstick with Tubeliss as its eaxy to change tires and IF I put a hole in it its easy to plug! Good content my friend.

      Each system has advantages and disadvantages, this system is quite heavy. And that is downside about it but the positive is its really hard to get pinch this tube. Tubliss is great system but in rocky terrain its easy to get pinch flat on tire what is really not good, but he is very light what is also important for some riders. So I’m neutral, and I can say that each system is good in its own way.

      @@TheDirtbikeRider Pinch flats are just one way to flat a tire. Ive ran tubeliss for 7 years. Havent got 1 pinch flat. Im more so concerned about punctures If that fat heavy tube gets punctured my day is done unless I have a patch kit and take the whole tire off. If I cant fix the puncture as long as the high pressure tube is ok, the tire will stay on to make the ride back to the truck. This is also an advantage that I prefer. For the cost of this "new"system I think i'd just run double rim locks and a good brand like Bridgestones Heavy Duty Tube. Prolly cheaper.. How much this fat tube cost?

    Some of my friends who have installed Lucioli have had bend rims at the rim-lock places. But overall they are happy with the inner tube. I personally prefer tubliss. But I don't (can't) do very much hard enduro.

    I've used these on 2 bikes for over 200 hours really good traction and good cost saving in the long run
    Downside weak valves that can damage over time and the rim locks can come loose recently got a puncture and was hard to ride the bike in extreme for the rest of day
    We also race sea to sky every year and wouldnt run the lucioli at a big event like that
    For peace of mind we now run mousses

    Hi guys.
    I think that a knife hit is very different from a cut and a puncture. Lucioli camara looks like a great product but I think that it is not more efficient than tubliss system.
    I would like to know your opinion, guys!!

    what is ur torque with the rim lock?

    • @TheDirtbikeRider
      @TheDirtbikeRider  3 года назад

      I asked a couple of people how much they use and all suggest about 10 N-m (1kg). So it's not much, rim locks are just there to keep the system from turning on the wheel. But if you want to rim locks really hold the tyre you need tighten it much more but in that way its going to shorten the life of tube. So i don't suggest you that, but if you damage the system and get flat you need to tighten rim locks more and then you can keep riding normal the tire will not spin on the wheel.

  • @smithenstein79
    @smithenstein79 6 месяцев назад

    But surely it's heavy af and has nowhere near the rim protection of tubliss?

    • @TheDirtbikeRider
      @TheDirtbikeRider  3 года назад +2

      It’s not as heavy as it seems trust me ! And it does not protect the wheel like a tubliss system its something like mousses where you can damage the rim if you use really supersoft mousse. So it's up to you, how much pressure you will use, i will do 100 hours test and then we will see what happens with rim and the lucioli tube. Maybe its protection the rim better than we think, we dont know yet.

    • @TheDirtbikeRider
      @TheDirtbikeRider  3 года назад +1

      Using liquid soap when installing tubliss will prevent air leakage, its working like sealant. But inspect your tubliss to see if it may be damaged somewhere or your tire. Also don't use to much force when tighten the rim lock, it can damage inside rubber part and make air leak on rim lock.
