This 7MM Tube Can Run FLAT.. | Lucioli Hard Enduro Install

- Ever since I started riding hard enduro I have wanted to try an alternative to the traditional inner tube. From the bib Mousse to Mousse balls, Tubliss and now introducing the Lucioli 7mm tube which is a popular option overseas.
Up until now I have been running the standard heavy duty tubes with little to no issue but I have always been conservative with my tire pressure. With the new CRF250F build I plan on doing a lot of Dual Sporting and technical single track riding which is why I wanted to stick with a tube versus a Mousse bib and while the Tubliss system is a great option I didn't want the hassle of constantly filling and checking the chambers and the overall maintenance involved which for some isn't much.
Watch along as I give my best attempt at a how-to install video on the new to me Lucioli 7mm inner tube all the way from Brazil🇧🇷

I know I will get a lot of Tubliss comments and I forgot to give my thoughts in this video.. I have no personal experience with the system but I do believe it is a great option, for me I just didn't want the hassle of constantly filling and checking the chambers and the overall maintenance involved which for some I know isn't much. I am just a tube guy at heart and I am looking forward to putting some hard hours on the Lucioli and seeing how it holds up💪🏻
Tubliss says their system isn’t rated for the street. These tubes are. I’m not chancing a blowout at 60mph by something not rated for it. Tubliss have their strengths and uses. Road riding isn’t one of them lol.
@@Adv.Wannabe I agree but also know plenty of people who run them on the highway without issue.
Nah I have 3 new tubliss systems I don’t use. I ran tubliss for over a year and EVERY ride I was messing with that darn thing. One of my buddies has tubliss and doesn’t touch it🤷🏻♂️ tubliss is an option but once I switched to mousse I can’t go back. This lucioli has my attention and I like to try it. Mousse wear out and get soft and if the lucioli lasts like a tube does it worth looking into. Thanks for the video
I've had extremely good luck with my tubliss. I just set my compressor to 100psi and hit it both tires before I ride. Iv been out with no compressor out west . Never had a issue
@@aaronphillips2728 Yeah filling up every ride is not for us, glad you enjoy it though!
I seriously appreciate that your video's show realistic struggle with mounting tires that have heavy stiff sidewalls. All these tire change experts on YT clearly use super soft thin sidewall tires to make it look so easy.
Thanks for recognizing that! I too get frustrated seeing how easy people spoon some gummies on in their tutorials. Technique is everything but some tires are just plain hard.
Had a couple mile walk home this evening after catching a nail in my mountain bike tire. This is perfect timing.
I carry a Topeka Mountain Morph mountain bike pump. It has a flip out foot stand, a hose, and the handle rotates sideways to make a mini floor pump. It takes just a minute to air up for the road.
mate i have been running this tube on 2 beta rr 300 22 mod 60hours now on beta rr300 23 mod 10 hours takes 45 min to change this tube is a tuff mother i have matched them to a golden tire gt333 hard endure the great thing is you keep the tube when you sell your bike i love it
I ran one in my beta125rr and what a tube it made it like a mountain goat went anywhere I pointed it ran it with 3psi init loved it getting one for my Ktm 150 and one million percent recommend
That’s a ton of rotating mass on a little bike like that, I used those tubes in my 2017 crf450r and it almost acted as a weighted flywheel and helped keep the bike from stalling, however it made
Cornering a nightmare. I had to really throw all
My weight down to get the bike to lay over in a burm
We will see! It is really meant for low and slow riding (hard enduro).
I have run these since August 2019 on all sorts of terrain. My original rear tube has done approx 250hrs being used at Sea to Sky Hard Enduro on two occasions plus other hard enduro's and hard enduro training areas with 2 psi pressure. I have a front and rear on another bike with approx 60hrs use. I have punctured one rear tube on my GPX and I would say it was something really sharp that pierced the tyre. Like all things they are not perfect. What I would say is if you are trail riding I would not go lower than 5 PSI as you will most likely hit the tarmac from time to time and that's probably the ideal pressure for the tyre you are running being hard walled. Hard Enduro slower more technical terrain they perform well at low pressures. If they last longer than a mousse then that's the time they start to save you money. From a run flat point of view its all down to the type of tyre you have on. If its a soft side wall supersoft tyre it will get out of shape a little but you will get home stood up. Harder the tyre the better the run flat experience. I've seen all sorts of other peoples experiences with Tubliss , mousses etc some good and some bad. I still use mousses in some instances but these Lucioli tubes have been a money saver for me and I rate the product. A good understanding of how to fit these things properly is important to get the best from them. Ive always used silicon grease on install as recommenced by the manufacturer as its also inert to the rubber. This makes fitting a lot easier but a little messy so plenty of rubber gloves on hand. I will be doing a video update soon hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I'm just in the middle of house renovations at mo hence my RUclips channel has not had an upload since early September but I've got some good stuff in the pipeline. Looking forward to you're update. 👍
Can't wait to see how it does on road ,and off.
Can’t wait to see how these perform
You will have to rip the 250F soon.
You should start on the rotor side when removing the tire. More room to maneuver the levers and it's not as destructive to your appendages.
brilliant
Nice video man, so true on bloody knuckles
Awesome can't wait to get some for my 500 for the same reasons
Im really looking forward to running this setup. I’ll be testing it out quite a bit in the following months🤘🏻
Great video man! Just got a set for hill climbing and will see how these take a beating!
For the price, longevity, and the weight savings, I really feel like the tubliss setup is a better option. Just my 2 cents.
What are your thoughts on this now? I like mouse's, but this would last longer.
Cool. Btw bibs on road spell real trouble and have heard they’ll unseat tire completely when they melt from the heat.
I got that shirt! I didn’t win either! 😂 Kyle’s dope tho!
Great video, I dig the winter/Xmas music lolol
Would be nice to check the balance with that tube in. I wonder how much more weight it needs for the highway.
You should definitely review the Gpx fse 250E basically a modern xr250 with 6speed transmission and modern suspension and only weighs 245 lbs
Other than this tube, what tires/tubes would you recommend for beginner/intermediate single track, gravel roads and rolling pastures? Thanks!
TUSK has the EMEX series which is a good value, maybe look into that.
Fantastic video, you work that girthy tube!!! But the price.........? Let us know. RMFR.
Are you still running this tube? and how do you or did you like it?
Getting ready for Erzberg I see 👍
You already know! Only red bike on the line😂
Great job
Thank you Enrique! Hope all is well💪🏻
Get some better tire spoons!! You’re making it harder than it needs to be.
Edit: I take that back. I understand you’re trying to do it with what you carry.
Are you going to be running balance beads or anything to balance that for the road or just run it and see what happens?
Run it and see what happens for now after I install a Lucioli on the front as well.
Put the sprocket side down to save your knuckles!
Weight compared to mousse?
running bib and tubliss in the same rear tire, will never go back to just bib or tubliss in rear.
Double duty!
famous last words.. " we won't be changing tubes in the field"..lol
A few big zip ties and I'm limping it back to the truck lol.
@@AdventureDaily yeah. But what if you're on a 10 day adv ride? Answer .. bring a back up tube
What do the directions say about powder or lube??? Haven’t seen anyone use powder? The ones I watched used lube…. (Silicone)
Yo tanner! I spot the grom… it looks different from last time we saw it! When’s a new video coming from the groms?
Good eye! This was actually a friends that I am selling.
Any updates on this setup? Likes/dislikes?
Helps to do it brake rotor up its less painful to hit lol
Knuckle conditioning👊🏻
Has anyone ever tried filling a stock tube with something like SLIME at the time of initial installation and then adding air? I just wonder if in the event of a puncture might the Slime afford enough stability to the tire to prevent it from coming off the rim and enable the bike to be ridden out of the woods. Any thoughts?
Would probably work with the right sealant, regular slime wouldn't work. I run a Tubliss with Gempler's sealant and had really good luck.
All that extra unsprung weight and rotational mass - not for me. I run tubliss and don't get flats. Tubliss is way easier to repair if you get a flat. Also, tubliss is half the price and fairly easy to install.
Yeah I agree maybe would be more worthwhile if you didn't have to drill another hole the in rim, Im going tubliss.
Tubliss isn’t rated for road riding by DOT or even Tubliss but these tubes are sold as dualsport ready.
Why do the integrated rim locks have valve caps?
Just a protector for the sharp edges on the bolt👍🏻
Kyle would have put powder on the tube bro 😂
What's the point of a 250f after the 300l?
I have several videos talking about that but ultimately it is a far better trail bike.
I vote Alexis first!!! You going to buy some catus an run it over? until infinity. Now you need a new rim.
Say whaaaa? I'll be in AZ soon.
@@AdventureDaily well damn, you should buy a catus an the do it in the cold, so it broken in before you goto AZ..
@@firstamendmenttshirt4768 Not a bad idea.
Try out a tusk dsport tire, stupid knobby and stupid cheap lol.
I ran those on the 300L and 250L! Fantastic tire!
How was the front end feel on the 300 I have it on my dr650 and it walks like crazy after 60
@@martinwheat2018 I maintained 75+ on the highway for a 20 mile stretch with no issue. Sounds like a balancing issue?
Let me be the first to say, NEVER open a package that can be ruined with a knife especially the last tube available.
I can promise you I don't think any officer will demand to pull your tube out on the side of the road to ensure its "d.o.t." compliant.
That's what she tells me, it's big, it's thick & it's hard !
.......carry on
I wouldn't worry about someone wanting to verify. More so after a wreck insurance not wanting to pay because of a non dot tube but even that seems unlikely. I run double HD tubes front and rear on my xcw... a poor man's Lucioli.
The background music reminds me of 60's porn. :)
@ 7lbs, I would just run a mousse.
Yeah I don’t like the dead feeling, Lucioli was by far the best compromise for me.
When your tube costs 3 times your tire
TOOB
After much experimentation with tire pressures, ive come to the conclusion that it makes no sense at all to pretend we are trials riders, and run with 4 psi, or any single digit tire pressures at all. The trade off with cornering instability just isnt worth being able to have a tiny bit more traction on a billy goat trail that doesnt flow at all. 13psi front/rear is the magic number, and why mousse's dont work, either. They seem to act as if the tire has 15 psi, which is no good for traction at all. You might as well be on marbles.
Too heavy
$169 for a tube ? Imagine pinching it on the install , I'll stick with my bibs
that's almost the same weight as a AT81 ??? running the weight of 4 tires on your bike instead of 2 ??? ya, that's gonna handle great !!! your suspension is gonna love it .... but it's a CRF250, they can take anything ..... people are dumm and will buy anything .... youT00berzz will make a positive review of anything if it's free .....
It's worth the additional 3 pounds if you ride more than just a Sunday stroll, but I wouldn't want you to break a nail. I bought this with my own money and it is a popular option that many love.
Two wheelsets, tubes, and tires is 3 pounds? I want to know what wheelset you’re running lol
Also you sound like a very miserable person just looking for reasons to hate anything lol
Nice Areola. 😉
Thanks 😋
