Yeah it is sad I'm from Chicago and I can say that the gang culture here it's either passed down cause your grandfather was a gangbanger and your dad and now you are ...or if you live in a certain gang area you are automatically considered that gang by there rivals so kids are beat up because we're they live so that makes them join cause now they have backup.... Most of them are dead or in jail or have a heroin addiction now I was one of the lucky ones that changed my life around became a born again Christian got my real estate license made some good investments and actually became a functioning member of society house in the suburbs white picket fence six kids and a beautiful wife.... Anybody could change your life around if you really want to it's all up to you and what you want out of life you don't have to be living in a cage.... I pray for all of those people that think there is no way out the Lord Jesus died on that cross so that you may have freedom I pray that you one day will know what true freedom is and then you would give your life to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...peace and blessings

I'm a New York City crip, I remember being locked up up state (NY) back in February 2000 at the age of 18 in Collins Correctional Facility and I met a crip from 116 Avalon Gangsta crips from LA who was much older than me. Cuzz name was Lil' Fee Fee. We were the only 2 crips in the jail. Being that I'm an NYC crip, I knew nothing about LA gang politics. Cuzz used to tell me a lot of war stories. 1 story I always remembered he told me was how South Los was tearing up Hoovers. Cuzz told me him and his Avalon homies used to chill with some 112 Hoovers back in the mid 1990's since they were allies. He said South Los came through with a choppa and tore the shit up. He said it got so bad that him and his 116 Avalon homies stopped hanging in Hoover hoods because South Los were tearing Hoovers up daily. Again, at that time when loc was telling me these stories back in 2000, I had no idea what South Los was. But if a Hoover ally (116 Avalon GC) can say and admit that South Los were tearing up Hoovers, then I can believe it. Cuzz also told me that the reason why he ended up in New York (Buffalo area) back in 1997 was because 118 East Coast crips took their hood and ran them out, so that's when he came to NY. He was the first and only LA crip I ever met, Lil' Fee Fee from 116 street Avalon Gangsta.
