G Witch has been by far the best line of HG kits I have seen in a long time. Solid builds, great color seperation, and poses well. Bandai really went all out with the “less is more” style of assembly.
The head sculpt of Aerial Rebuild really went from Kamen Rider Zi-O to Kamen Rider Zi-O II. 😏😏😏 The torso, shoulders & backpack give me serious Gundam GP01 to GP01/Fb vibes, and I am here for it!!
I definitely prefer the looks of the original Aerial over the Rebuild, but I still think the Rebuild looks awesome (it just needs more yellow in it, particularly in the chest area). Also, that face on the rebuilds chest....it looks so familiar to something I've seen before, kinda like a mecha shark or something. I just can put my finger on it.
Something to mention about the shell unit on the chest is that with the pre-molded ones, it doesn't cover the chest completely and exposes the white plastic underneath. The sticker covers up that white section. So in this case it might be better to use the sticker and cover it up with the black shell unit.

Look, although I'm not a big fan of G-witch, I can't deny that this kit is wonderful, it was really cool to build and one of my favorite parts of these G-witch kits is the permet sticker, which are one of the coolest details in a gundam
My jaw dropped when I saw the Gund Bits form around the gun in the show so I knew I had to get this thing. While it may not be as aesthetically coherent as the original Aerial, I do think that the more muted color scheme and blocky exterior is more or less the representation of Suletta's progression as a character (for better or for worse). But the main highlight for me is the absolute awesome bfg rifle that makes perfect use of the gundbits, and I couldn't be happier for how the HG turned out. Hopefully we get one more Aerial down the line that perhaps encapsulates a lot of the power of the bit system similar to that of the Core Gundam from GBD Re: Rise. Can't wait to get my hands on this kit eventually.
I pre-ordered this from Hlj back when it was only know as unknow product 4 (or something like that) when it came out they didn't have enough to fill my order so back to waiting. You got lucky you got one.
With Exia, I fell in love at first sight. With Barbatos I needed time for the design to grow on me. Aerial however, I just cant. Maybe a few more months. Maybe.
I can't wait for a RG version of, really, any Ariel. I got the HG Lfrith/Ruberus and was blown away by it. I got a chrome paint marker and am tempted to chrome out the kit though >:)
tbf, I wouldn't expect a real grade any time soon unless one has been announced that I am unaware of. There are quite a few from other anime that haven't gotten real grade treatment yet. IBO hasn't gotten one yet. That being said, I really do hope they do all out for this anime. the full mechanics looks great, but the MG is gonna have to be insane to justify itself, then I want MGs of the Dilanzas, Darilbalde, Lfrith, etc
Oh and I suggest looking up the hip swap which is just swapping sides to make the hips thinner and the rebuild stand taller....there's all kinda of tutorials on google....your rebuild will look so much better....I did it to the original aerial
the design basically makes it impossible for it to be a repaired aerial. the head for example would have to be completely swapped out as the shift in its proportions make it basically impossible for them to share inner mechanics.
The issue I have with the WFM kits is that they're all so good that it's hard for me to NOT buy them! I already have Lfrith, Original Aerial, and Pharact among other Gundams so I don't have any more room for new kits now. Hahaha!
I fucking love the new direction they’ve made with the HG line, I’ve bought two so far, they revitalized HG for me. So glad polycaps aren’t being used for any of these. Kit bashing will be so much easier!
Just got around to adding this kit to my collection. Stoked. Wish it had more color though like some yellow. GIves me Exia vibes with the blue and shoulders / chest and can't really complain though. 🤘
The proportions are better on the rebuild as it is taller, slender than the original design. The blue shoulders goes well with the blue chest. Both are still great.
Having not watched season 2 yet, I wonder if the Rebuild slowly losing the unique design elements of Aerial is an intentional decision by the showrunners to show Aerial being twisted by Prospera in the same way it seemed Suletta was in the season 1 finale.
I think the original Aerial is a much better design. All the charm of it was in the curves. The Rebuild isn't a bad design, but it removed EVERYTHING that made me instantly fall in love with the Aerial. I would of preferred if they pushed the curves even harder, and pushed the buggy elements even further.
The Aerial rebuild reminds me so much of the 00 Raiser BC Of the V fin. If I were to make a Custom of this, I would merge the design of the 00 Raiser, the 00 Quan[t], the unicorn gundam (Gund format is similar to NTD) and the gundam barbatos (any form and the Lupus rex)
Speaking as someone who's pretty prolific in custom builds, that's a fairly tall order, especially incorporating the Unicorn, which in my experience doesn't really lend itself well to being mixed with other kits due to it having a full body transformation, and the Barbatos, which inverts the placements of the traditional pegs and holes, or balls and sockets. It might be a more sensible idea to pick and choose what you want to incorporate, instead of trying to cram it all in at once.
@@wavewingman5993 I think he only meant that the similar about it with the unicorn is the NTD and Gund format which those permet score thingies, and the NTD is the destroy mode thingy.
@@kozuta8858 Even if the Unicorn is only represented symbolically, that doesn't change the overall point that it's too many things to cram into one model, and it'd be more advisable to ease off and only focus on a couple.

This mobile suit mixes the seriousness of lfrith and the *aEriaLness* of aerial and I FRIKING LOVE IT
You know what? Aerial rebuild gives off 00 vibes
Badass no mouth vent mobile suit with iconic weapon and tricolor scheme and special clear parts and hidden gundam identity in season 1
Looks more boxy with mouth vents, double vfin and “ears”, bigger beam weapon, combo gimmick, and more blue and green parts and wicked backpack
Im gonna just predict but if wfm gets a season 3, i bet aerial would look more feminine with updated bits and more bit combinations + special gimmick when permet score 6 (not just color change but something like trans am or ntd or exam)
From a Curvy, Smooth God-Witch to Boxy, Sharp Shining-Witch Aerial kit. 😍😍 ( God - Shining Gundam esque )
Suletta Kasshu: Ketchup FINGER! 🖐😋
😂😂🤣🤣
19:32 oh yeah! That's definitely a review I'll be looking out for!
I can't wait until this makes its way to America. My local hobbytown has me on a list to hold one. So as soon as it gets here, I'll have one
Aerial Rebuild! As always you are quick Mecha to review new kit
The reason why it's smiling is because she was satisfied on making that tomato in the last episode😂🍅🍅🍅
Hey hello there there! I just got the aerial kit from some dude on offer up all the sites were back ordered. Thank you for the video
Look, although I'm not a big fan of G-witch, I can't deny that this kit is wonderful, it was really cool to build and one of my favorite parts of these G-witch kits is the permet sticker, which are one of the coolest details in a gundam
Coming to this review after finishing the 2nd season , its fun to hear his coments and speculations.
I’ve had mine pre-ordered since January, still waiting on it to ship. I can’t wait for it!
Great job Mecha, you made me see the angy Aerial face and I can’t un-see it
Don’t act like we didn’t see that hg gundam rose. Excited for that review!
Just picked this one up from Hobby Lobby and looking forward to putting it together!
I pre-ordered this from Hlj back when it was only know as unknow product 4 (or something like that) when it came out they didn't have enough to fill my order so back to waiting. You got lucky you got one.
I Like It And I Love It Its Arrived. Gundam Aerial Rebuild Finally Just Came For The Release.❤
With Exia, I fell in love at first sight. With Barbatos I needed time for the design to grow on me. Aerial however, I just cant. Maybe a few more months. Maybe.
i bought this mainly because of the Scene and the Flight unit
so cool✨🥶
I really NEEEED a Master Grade for the Aerial Gundam...
Perfect grade too maybe???
I love this design.
Looks a bit like a butterfly with the new backpack!
I liked the old stomach with the awkward smirk face instead of the other stomach with the half grin
The smiley face in the chest just kills this one for me
Even though it's lose Aerial uniqueness, i am really glad that they made it totally different and not like just a minor upgrade
I definitely prefer the OG here.
The bit-on form looks amazing on this one, though.
Oh and I suggest looking up the hip swap which is just swapping sides to make the hips thinner and the rebuild stand taller....there's all kinda of tutorials on google....your rebuild will look so much better....I did it to the original aerial
Gosh. And the new sets sold out immediately. On the waiting list on Hlj ❤
Finally managed to pick up Aerial RB and Lfrith Ur. Can't wait to recreate their fight.
I think the rebuild is just an in-between using off the shelf parts to do a quick repair, we probably get a 2.0 later in the story.
the design basically makes it impossible for it to be a repaired aerial. the head for example would have to be completely swapped out as the shift in its proportions make it basically impossible for them to share inner mechanics.
The Gundams in WFM definitely took inspiration from 00 designs
Great. Now i couldn't unsee the angeri aerial face. Thanks mecha
She's here! She's so cool. The more I see her the more I like her.
The bellt face is really hard to unsee on the Rebuild.
Amazing video yet again I cannot unsee the faces now
Just got around to adding this kit to my collection. Stoked. Wish it had more color though like some yellow. GIves me Exia vibes with the blue and shoulders / chest and can't really complain though. 🤘
The proportions are better on the rebuild as it is taller, slender than the original design. The blue shoulders goes well with the blue chest. Both are still great.
Loved that backpack at first sight
Having not watched season 2 yet, I wonder if the Rebuild slowly losing the unique design elements of Aerial is an intentional decision by the showrunners to show Aerial being twisted by Prospera in the same way it seemed Suletta was in the season 1 finale.
I like this design a lot too. Sure it’s more simple and more traditional Gundam but it still Ariel.
Omg was trying so hard to understand what you meant about the mouth now I can't unsee it!
the moment Aerial design released, i immediately reminded of Dantalion. bashing both might be fun
This is a really nice kit, thanks for the demo. I may have to seek this one out.
Knowing what we do now abut Aerial, that is an actual face in the torso, no doubt about it.
I can’t get it over the crazy frog face in the torso 😂
I can't wait for my kit to arrive. I missed the preorder so I'm waiting on the backorders to restock.
I love how literally the day after I got my Aerail the Rebuild was announced
I'm either going to get this kit or the Darilbalde for my first ever Gunpla kit but i have terrible indecision and I cannot decide for the life of me
Wow really impressive. Do you think Bandai will release a 1/100 of more Witch from Mercury kits or will they keep releasing 1/144?
I now can't unsee that disgruntled gundam face, wow
I heard a rumor the rebuild was designed to be easier to animate in action sequences.
You rouned the head for me, i can't unsee the angry little mouth xD
rebuild is literally aerial but with a blue t-shirt
I CAN’T UNSEE IT!!!!
2:58 Nu Gundam had 3
Barbatos Lupus had 1
Barbatos Lupus Rex had 1
@@wavewingman5993 I mean technically it would be non existent in a custom since that's probably internal or imaginary. It's not like the NTD system can be seen on the current unicorn model kits lol. At the end of the day only the look matters
@@kozuta8858 Okay....so my point stands.
Overall for me, I like the design of the original Aerial better but the backpack on Rebuild is lovely. The Rebuild looks blander in terms of color and design, though the backpack and new gun sort of balances it.
Also, there's something about Aerial's design in general that looks weird when seen from low angles but they look amazing when I'm looking from above.
Genuinely didn't like the redesign until I built the kit, then suddenly something clicked and now I really like it.
I prefer the original Aerial. It’s a much more unique design than the rebuild version.
This design got me into the aerial in the first place
Now that is a robot am I right or am I right.
You are wrong. Watch LITERALLY ANYTHING from UC, and you'll understand.
@@xx-qv9tp Well, technically he is wrong cuz it's called mecha not a robot but I don't blame him as sometime a Gundam do have an AI... technically a robot.
@@xx-qv9tp If I wanted walking cardboard boxes I'd watch Mazinger.
@@RMGX011 exactly
I can get over the Rebuild's head no problem.
But I REALLY can't unsee the face on the chest.
The moment you pointed out the face, I literally never unsaw it
Gundam: >:c
