Most of the comments are mourning the loss of connection with Sarah. Meanwhile, I'm sighing into my pillow because I found out too late that I have to rebuild my million-credit custom ship.
Yeah, I have built three of those stupid ships... waving goodbye each time I head off into the sunset. It bugs me to no end to get to the sunken temple, and find all those credits and kit just to leave it all behind.
That’s actually kind of depressing ngl. Hoping the story expansion Shattered Space revisits this and let’s you actually enter the unity with your partner

He's actually understanding and morally supportive. Unlike Sarah... Nag, nag, nag.
I completely agree, it’s the main reason I didn’t go, she literally tells you she doesn’t want to loose who we are when she learns of the unity. They did her a bit dirty with the writing I think. I am hoping they allow you to take someone with you, as I have no interest of loosing that connection. I do hope the DLC addresses those who have not gone in. If they shoehorn it on us, it would be pretty upsetting.
@@AVELOS460yes I completely agree this is something that really should do I haven't gone through the unity and I never will you may meet other Sarah's but they will never the be the same one that I fell in love with now if we were able to take her with us and she remembers us and we remember her I would jump into the unity in a heart beat I know this sounds so cheesy but I never want to be in a universe that doesn't have her in it not just any her but the one that I truly fell for her and truly love her it would just feel wrong and not right to leave her this is the only unique universe with her in it were u truly fall in love for the first time and none of the other universes would ever be the same without her
Very sad ending, they definitely need to make an update with an option to enter unity with her. I feel like all that time together was pointless to have that in the game if you just end up apart in the end!
I know right , you should be able to bring any companion with your self and becomes Starborn which could serve as companion upgrade , giving them powers .
In part, I get how you feel. Similarly, you go in with multiple crew. But you also choose to be destroyed before you become your next you. This would be true of them also. Not to mention you would then have your companion, plus the new companion that belongs in the "New universe". I think they went with the most isolated story telling option. For me, I married Sarah and then that is who the Hunter killed.
I do have a save before i went but to go back wouldn't feel right. I regret going through the unity after spending the time building up those friends and relationships. It took me awhile to romance Sarah but it ended up being so special to me when we got married in game. When you talk to her before you build the armilary thing I realized she was completely right with the whole curiosity thing. I could only keep the curiosity at bay for so long. Going into the new universe creates a lonely feeling that took me by storm. Its heartbreaking. Going in I sided with the emissary, but with each new universe i could feel myself turning into the hunter. Maybe in the future for the DLC if you hop into a new universe you can see your universe friends again or maybe its already in the game. Maybe she is just the next universe or two over waiting...Well played Bethesda, I will keep searching for the chance to reunite my character and her universe lover😭
When the Hunter attacks the lodge, she died for me after we were married. I reloaded that save to make her live and finished the story like normal, with this really sad ending. Now I think the story would have been 100 times more positive if she had died. I could have entered the unity with no attachment to my old universe with the hopes of reuniting with a new version of her in a new universe. Major regrets for save scumming so many hours ago.
Something cool about the unity part is, all the story lines you completed will also show up there with a little summary of what happens after you leave. I got a few for the UC vanguard and FS Rangers when I made it there.
I just got the UC vanguard, and also told me that my marriage with Andreja had made a lot of Va'Ruun people start to open themselves to the other colonies wich was pretty cool. Also because I defeated the emissary and the hunter, in my universe the starborn will not interfiere with the artifacts anymore.
Yea, it's literally designed to be just like Fallout NV but MUCH more interactive, not just staring at a slideshow. For anyone that has ever played Fallout NV, then the Unity recap will look familar, every major thing you did, UC, Ryugin, and other main sidequests, will show up in the Unity.
If you want some extra secret dialogue: enter the armillary but walk back and not go through the unity. You will get some extra dialogue with all of the constellation members and if you are married to any of them, you will get some extra options.
@@symbolic503 I can', that nagging about me trying to take everything with me all the time is infuriating. Seriously woman, I'm the encumbered one, pipe down and mind your own business!
Contrary to popular belief I think that you don’t lose Sarah. If anything you get to spend infinity with her. The unity said your love/commitment for each other even influences the universe. Through the main quest and new game plus the main character meets the hunter multiple times and the emissionary which mean starboard can connect with other starborn in different universes. If Sarah chose to be reborn herself she’s from the characters same universe so she will retain her memories. So YOUR Sarah Morgan will technically be out there for you
I REALLY hope someday they make a NG+ universe possibility (or set of possibilities) where you can meet up with your pre-Starborn spouse if you had one.
I was thinking the same thing. When u choose to the unity, there will be infinite possible universes, and there will be infinite times that u and Sara are lover and both choose to unity. Also, in these infinities there will also be infinite chances you actually is able to meet each other, in starborn form. The problem is that when u standing at the unity, the decision you will made will create infinite unpredictability outcomes for u at the moment. Although u know there are chances to meet each other, it’s impossible to be sure if u will actually meet “the one”, the Sara before your first unity. Chances you both will find the original each other is so low comparatively to situations where you just find each other in a different version. Even if u think u find “the one”, how would u know if that’s the exact one? As she might just so similar to “the one”, but not the exact one. It will be impossible to identify the original her anymore if there are infinite similarities of her. Though in all those possibilities, u made it, find her and identify is the exact her, how long further time have past, are u guys even the original u anymore? As so much different experiences u been through. As result, the moment u go through unity, the possibilities u find the exact Sara, identify each other, and keep your original self is so small that the possibilities will tends to zero. All I can think of there’s one best outcome is that u cross to your first new universe and u able to meet and identify the exact her. But u have to consider the chances of this could happen compared to the infinite large numbers of other possibilities that u didn’t. It’s terrifying. So I think instead of choosing I will lose you in the infinity billions of times, choosing the definite I can see and control, to stay is the only way I will not lose you.
@@junbinma2934 Great insight! It makes it so sad, so lonely! You are in a sense all alone with those memories. Disappointing that there's no dialogue in NG+ that lets you tell your LI that you loved and/or married them in a different universe. I imagine that could make for some interesting conversations and interactions. Feels like a missed opportunity.
It makes sense really. If you don't skip, the implication is that you're "pretending" you're not Starborn, and kind of sort of trying to relive your former life by playing through the whole main quest again. The Emissary calls you out on doing that, by the way- but it makes sense that since you're pretending you're normal, you wouldn't want to bring up your former marriages in alternate universes haha.
This is quite a depressing ending tbh lmao leaving everything behind especially your partner. What’s crazy too is if you think about it when you deny unity and for me I was with Sarah, she’s surprised that you don’t go and she chose not to go for your same reason if you choose the romance dialogue. So if you think about it if you went she would have denied unity and be alone lol which is even more depressing. It sucks there’s not some type of way to tell the other version of your partner that you were together. I don’t know if anyone has found it yet I reloaded after getting the achievement lol. I hope the dlc expands on this unity concept and perhaps we can not be separated from our partner.
@@cjpert5286 It's designed to make you choose between being happy with what you have or to ditch it all in the pursuit of ultimate power. I kind of like it. It's a very human dilemma.
"It sucks there’s not some type of way to tell the other version of your partner that you were together" I got this as a dialog option with Sarah when I first entered NG+ lodge, she tells you she's not the same Sarah as the one I knew
I’m glad I’m not the only one that wants a new game plus where you find your partner again. That would have made me keep playing through 10 new game plus’ but in the end I didn’t want to leave her so I just came back.
What I think what I want in a future dlc is... there are companions that go with you through Unity. Sarah, Barret and Andreja (Sam maybe? But that was my playthrough and I had these three all entering Unity) You obviously lose all contacts and relations when going through Unity, as those people you meet are in fact different versions of the people you knew. Anyhow, we also know that it is possible to end up in the same Universe with People / Starborn, you've met in previous Universes. The Hunter and the Emissary being the main examples, but there's also Cora which may come to kill you or seeks a specific version of you which she wants to kill. She purposefully travels through Universes to find a very specific Starborn and she eventually succeeds. Which brings me to the point that, especially when you romanced one of those who went through Unity, you must have a chance to meet them again as Starborn.
I hope this happens as well. I think it was a major writing oversight to make not going through a very validated option. I have no interest in going and loosing what I built. But if I can take my romanced company with me. Then I would do it. Just didn’t sit well with me having that as the choices as of now. Let’s just hope they don’t shoehorn the whole starborn thing on us to start the DLC in the first place. That would be very telling.
Yes 100% I'm sure so many people have either done a new play through or stop playing the game entirely because I didn't want to go through the choice, possibly leaving everything behind just to become like the Hunter and be greedy for power. That's what being star one really seems to like, it comes to in the end, is you're just hunting for the artifacts to become more powerful and stronger, making you like a Hunter and not like the person who you think you should be like the emissary. If they are to bring this feature into the game, a lot of people would continue playing it over and over, and over and over again, and never get tired of it, it would change it drastically, and I think they could fit into lore. It really wouldn't be all that difficult.

The game brilliantly puts you in the position of choosing to become more powerful or be happy with what you have. It's a values thing and what you choose says a lot about your character.
@@BopaBola It's fun to play through but the ending renders everything you've done and any future playthrough pointless. It doesn't have to be happy but it should at least matter, and it doesn't. It is kinda of a shame how marriage is mostly blown over. If sarah dies, only 1 or two people mention the fact you two were married. Or even its revealed that sarah is a starborn, there is no unique dialogue between the two of you and lastly in ng+ you cant really mention the fact you two were together in another universe. What made it more sad for me is the girl you find in the planet after doing sarah's questline. If your sarah dies, you can speak to her and depending on yiur dialogue options (like mine) you can promise to be by her side till the very end and yet you just leave. Im not sure you can say goodbye, she wasnt anywhere in lodge while speaking to everyone though.
I can kinda understand last part though, because would be kinda weird and wild someone came up to you and told you how you two dated in another universe but can still be friends or somethin
I think the reason why you cant go to Unity with your partner is quite clear here. Going through Unity is another metaphor for death. This is the reason why only you can go through it since death is a personal experience for everyone.
The game is pretty clear that crossing the unity is not death. "Do you feel dead?" You just don't know enough to speak one way or the other about what the unity "is" and the game is clear about that as well. It's Magic Ffs
I wouldn't say it's a metaphor for death, but it is certainly a "personal" space. Your character gives the line "Can anyone ever truly experience reality outside of oneself?" In philosophy, this is known as the Egocentric Predicament. We are never given a clear answer as to what Unity is, because we as humans do not know the answers to life.
you don't really die you get reborn into something better like a new race/species an astral being that could be seen has holy ...because you know your pass live each time you come back and you get more "holy", you become a better "living angel " or demon each time. But the people around you see you has an angel anyway their interpretation of a supernatural being depend on the npc and faith.
@@funnygaming2672 Some people believe this. Like reincarnation. But you don't keep your memory. Also, you are reborn in Starfield at your same age. Where did you grow up? What happens if you age? Are you older next time?
Pretty sure the unity room is suppose to be full of stuff you've done and achieved in the game. like a cosmic scoreboard. It's usually so empty cause people rushed through the game
@@jakebarton3341 Did you finish them? Sounds like a glitch. You're supposed to see a breakdown on how things went based on all of the faction quests, all of your highest level affinity companions with special attention paid to marriages, and everyone gets the Hunter/Emissary/Alone choice explained.
For a game with different endings and crossing universes and all, I would've expected way more interaction with companions and known NPC.. Like Baldur's Gate 3, you just cross the road and you have full fledged conversation with your companions and they react to alot of things you do. Here you can *literally* go into another universe and your new dialogues are very limited. The best dialogue options I have found are the [Starborn] ones, but the game doesn't expend on them and usually just have one.
There is alternate dialog. When you start exploring with her again you'll have the option to tell her that she's a little different than the Sarah you knew but is still very similar, or words to that effect.
If you make dialogues comparing the NH+ sarah with the original sarah, the new sarah will never agree to have a romance with you, the option is blocked
I went in the unity and after a day of going into the unity in game+ x2 I chose to go back. Its not the same, if I could bring a og companion with me to share the experience with, it would make me feel way better in moving on. But sense thats not the case, im not going through unity. If people did not go through what happend to me, either you did not spend alot of time with the team or your able to easily detatch your self from people, things. Which that, of course comes with its pros and cons. Unity definitely gave me a better insight to how the hunter became the way he is.

Took me a while to take the leap so I don't quite remember the first conversation anymore. So I'm not sure if she says it at all the first time you play through the game, but when I spoke to Sarah in the NG+ she made a little comment that I think might be referencing the marriage or just being part of constellation. She implied a little before it, that this is the first time she is meeting you but then also says that "You seem oddly familiar". Considering its said that she eventually also chooses to be reborn, I took it as a little nudge that because of the bond you two share, she gets a little bit of a deja vu moment. Kinda sweet imo
I wish there was an ending where you could both just turn away from the quest for unity and live out the rest of your lives as simple folk. The ending was super depressing knowing that you never said goodbye and will never see each other again, and will instead be constantly traveling through the multiverse meeting other copies of them, but again knowing you will never meet “her”.
@@MISTAKEWASMADE4live You leave Unity but even if you choose to the "narrator" still says that you will in the future come back, and that all of your companions will eventually go through no matter what, and you cant change that. I was hoping their was a way that time could move forward 12 years, you can have a baby with Sarah. Like F04, it would have your hair color and her eyes. They could use the same kid model from Cora or Sona, or maybe its a boy. Sona is grown up and recruitable. Then something happens where you have to make your decision to go into the unity.
Same thing happens with Andreja. Outside of "more children want to be explorers" it's very similar. Just more specific to Andreja's background. But he says the same of her as well. She'll eventually be reborn and all that.
Married her then she died, she as a star born convinced me to enter the unity but all the good I did in the universe was undone in one selfish act chasing the person I loved 😅

You awoke in a new universe in which those actions hadn't happened yet and you could choose to undertake them again, but in your original universe where you did those things, they still happened and countless lives were saved/helped. It's just that YOU left that universe into one where they hadn't yet taken place. From an RP standpoint, all the people you helped are still helped- you'll just never meet them again.
I had a female character and made Andreja my partner; the ending was similar, with love and marriages blossoming, but the children who were born were more likely to question orthodoxy (with Sarah, they more likely to become explorers). Based on this video, plus my own experience, I'm guessing that the general nature of children born will vary depending upon who your partner is.
That was my first ending ... don't know if it's a secret ending ... and if you leave the unity go back to your universe and talk to her she ... says you came back after a dialogue with her you can promise to enter the unity
Not sure how this happened, but I romanced Andreja first but did not commit, then I romanced Sarah, and ended up marrying her, this made Andreja mad, but I talked her down... (persuaded that it was ok) When I got to the Unity, they were both there as my lovers.
They made it look like u can go into the unity with your companion but u dont. Anyway you are missing alot in the unity area so you have not done all the side missions.
I don't get why some of these RUclips "creators" think they've finished (beaten) the game, or done it all. The Starfield universe is a multiverse with infinite possibilities, i.e. there is no "end". Neither do I get the rush to complete the trip to Unity as fast as you can. It's not like you're "winning" anything. All you're doing is putting an end to one world that was created, and starting a new one. I've seen one video where a dude rushed through the world over and over skipping all the adventure, and just collecting all the Starborn powers, only to go back to the start, and he said it felt so hollow. He made no new friends, the people at the lodge were all indifferent to him and couldn't give a sh!+ if he was there or not, and he hadn't gained maximum skill level on 80% of the skill tree because he hadn't done anything, and he hadn't experienced much of the worlds he travelled through. It hardly sounds like "winning" to me, it sounded more like regret. They're missing the journey because they're in such a rush to get to the destination. But hey, it's a galaxy sized sandbox. I'd prefer to make a few sandcastles before I leave.
@@user-tn8ci6wg5k bro what even is your comment. If you go through the unity you literally just start the game again and yes you do get stuff for going through it, in the first ten times you through it you get a spacesuit that gets upgraded each time and a ship. The most optimal path would be going through the unity ten times and then you start doing quests, building outposts etc.
@@iNSANELYSMART409 I beg to differ. If you go through the missions in early playthroughs, without needing super powers, you can see the results of certain decisions made and decide not to make those same decisions in the next world. You also get to level up your skills by actually doing things, which you can't do if you just keep racing to Unity on every playthrough. You also get to try out all the starting skills to see which is best for whatever role you want to play. Don't quote me on this, but apparently your Starborn Powers can be leveled up too, so are you going to race to Unity (50+ times) until you are in God mode before attempting to do anything else? Seems a bit lame to me, but if that's what spins your wheels, go for it. Play it your way.
I have done NG+ 10x after 57 hrs or my first playthru; and let me tell you it was not worth leaving behind the world where you had impact and people you made relationships with. Like No amount of power made me not miss that version of my playthru so I loaded my save before I went into the unity and playing that world now. The game is not very hard even at very hard so u don’t even need those powers at max lvl. The lvl 1 powers are fine.
Two things I noticed. You noticed it said ‘eventually chooses to be reborn herself’. But she was on the ship with you. Did she turn back? Does the unity only take those that have collected the artifacts themselves? Or is it just that the speech doesn’t take into account who was with you on the ship? BTW, it doesn’t seem to matter who your lover is, they show up here and you hear the same thing. I married her once - once. If we had stayed in that universe, I’m sure we would have ended up divorced. Andreja is much easier to get along with, for me.
Everyone saying you should get to eat your cake and keep it too have entirely missed the point of the main story. The hunter is you on universe #100, the player, when you quick save and go on a massacre. The main story is an attempt at a meta-commentary on this style of RPG. The idea of “starting over” and being able to know what happened already, to be able to not care about things because you know the outcomes. If the game ended with you and Sarah going to the next universe it would entirely negate the difficulty of the decision to become starborn.

I should've had my character back out of the unity, none of his friends or love, Sarah Morgan, know him but he knows them. It's extremely depressing and would be heartbreaking in real life.
Starting the main quest again after becoming Starborn gave me Starborn dialogue options. They are pretty cool. You get different reactions from the npcs as well.
Well I chose to marry Andreja and my Starborn self said the exact same thing. I think this is the same no matter who you romance. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game but I feel this is a bit lazy. Question to everyone who chose to go back (not become a Starborn) when you arrived on your ship and spoke to Sarah, did she seem almost disappointed you didn't go? No mad or anything but not as happy as you'd think considering you can still be with her.
I thought the dialogue was upsetting at first (and I still think it is), as she originally stated she has hesitations about loosing each other, But I started to look at a bit differently. It’s unclear if they actually know how corrupting the unity is, and you certainly have not had the chance to tell them for some reason. The pilgrims writings were pretty clear that going through was not worth it. It felt like a kick in the balls when Sarah said said curiosity would get the better of us..I don’t think so at all.. But she’s essentially coming off a sort of high..something she can’t fully comprehend, which would be exciting for anyone to experience. But perhaps hasn’t fully realized the dangers. After all, she did not go through when you backed out. I thought the writing was bad and hope they address it a bit with the DLC to make leaving the unity much more validating. It is in fact the “good” ending from my POV. Living happily ever after in your own universe, is better than living in a meaningless multiverse.
No, the final sentence is different. With Andreja, it says something about how your marriage makes members of House Va'ruun start questioning it's beliefs.
It seems to be an image that represents her, kind of like all the other people yiu see there that you have impacted in some way. Sarah is in her own version of Unity. Kind of like how the construct tells you, at the end of the discussion, about how his thoughts are with you and the many versions of you that are in the Unity, right now. I think it would have been exciting if the Sarah you came across was also Starborn when you wake up haha. Then the two of you kind of work out what it means and why you two are alike, then find out that you must have been an item.
Winning comment right there. That would absolutely be awesome, to wake up with her next to ya and find out she was starborn and couldn't tell you because you had to make up your own mind.
you dont have to marry them for that you can get all the way up to just before commitment. i did that with andreja and sarah so they both showed up there
Thanks. I've been holding off watching this until I made it to the end game. I had the same experience. I was hoping their was some end game cut scene where we could start a family and grow old together before going in. It was great to see that legends of our love and adventures must have been written about so it inspired more marriages and children in the universe. That is a great legacy. Just a step below having kids with those eyes!
An excellent mod or DLC idea would be to have Sarah or whatever follower or a new modded Companion meet you outside after the unity. They like to spend so much time tracking you down like that one. entrance to the lodge with Cora Coe all grown up, And then deus ex new mod/dlc questing after. If Cora could track you down canonically, who is to say another star-born couldn't.
That's not really a secret ending. Everything that appears in the Unity grants dialog based off of that playthrough. I married Adreja and it said something similar, it created peace between the colonies and the varuun. I also did all factions for that playthrough and it told me all the outcomes of my actions. If you walk slowly past yourself there he will tell you he is offering you that he will show you the outcomes. I get its a secret if you rush head long into the gate without hesitation
This was my first run. Made me feel sad but also okay with going into NG+. My achievement for maxed companionship was bugged though so I'll have to do it again in the future.
My first playthrough I chose neither the hunter nor the emissary, I went on my own. I romanced Andreja, I could relate to her more. I felt as though it was her and I against the galaxy, I supported her religion, and our relationship until I became starborn, I felt so lost and confused but knew my purpose at the same time. I was heartbroken I'm not gonna lie, all that time I build with Andreja, Sarah, Barrett, and the loss of Sam brought us closer together, we went all in as Starborn together. I didn't want to go in alone, but I walked in a universe alone, I looked for Andreja's variant immediately, I skipped the main quest and collected all the artifacts with the Sarah variant and spent hours looking for Andreja, when I finally finished collecting them I went to the lodge gathered all the artifacts and searched the lodge one last time to see her before I left that universe and there she was sleep. I didn't bother to wait, I sat my character in her room and watched her sleep until she manually woke up. At that moment I regretted becoming a starborn, but a part of me didn't want to go back to my hard save cuz I was stronger than I was before. She woke up and didn't know who I was calling me starborn. But When I talked to her and she said this: "I wonder who I was to you in your universe: Was I the same?" I wanted unique dialog!!!!! I wanted to tell her what she meant to me, but My character didn't have that option, and it got to me I'm not gonna even lie! All that work I spent raising her affinity in my previous world gone, I knew then It was time to keep moving and hopefully this journey will pay dividends, I can't wait to see the true ending I hope I am reunited with her once again. But we'll see.
A secret or special dialogue with each character is available if you are to possibly have a relationship with them. I have done two different characters that had the same outcome and the same dialogue options sitting in the unity. It's easy to assume out of the four characters that can become Companions of yours, that they would have independent dialogue of their own more personal to the situation that you both have created. With that being said, after your experience with the unity your character goes back to a time where that one decision sets you in a direction you cannot change or divert from. Just the same as that one spell that allows you to pause time itself. Obviously it's not for a long time but it's just enough time to do what you wanted to do. It's kind of cool when you think about it but don't overthink it
Thats not a secret ending, it happens with every companion you reach max affinity with, there are 8 other things that can appear as well depending on which quests you have done.
I've not finished the game yet but i married sarah then she died on the eye, yet it doesn't trigger different dialogue options she just gets referred to as my friend which is kind of disappointing when you come face to face with the killer of your wife.
You don't have to marry her to get this ending. You just have to romance her. Once you tell her you love her and she loves you then this is the ending you get.
I love the analogies the story of starfield makes. If you hear the imagine dragons song too you can make a lot of the message. You can change thing like no one never even imagined, eternety, friends that last forever, rencoutering your loved ones again as they dont remember you.
Im my playthrough me and Sarah adventured everywhere, so when the romance option appeared I went for it only to find her story so sad and tragic truly felt for her and the guilt she carried she was completely broken, so when we married it was great to know that after all that my character brought her the happiness shed given up on ever having and ever knowing, so when it came to stepping into the Unity, finding out what our love brought to the settled systems brough a tear to my eye and happiness but also knowing that Id Never see MY Sarah again, it was heartbreaking and tough decision to make, so i hope that in a future update we get a choice to bring a companion with us or they expanded on the dialogue in NG+
I'd at least like a DLC that creates alternative content to the game. Either 1. not beginning a NG+ and getting more closure and an epilog in the original universe of you getting to experience all the great things you did explained in the unity. OR 2. allowing the person who passes into unity to return to their original universe whenever they want (I know it would change the "explained lore" somewhat, but it would be a good middle road option to not lose NG+) and then allow you to once again have a more fulfilling end game epilog. maybe it could be an RP oriented DLC, where you can do more with your house and live your life to its fullest after the mainstory is complete. Live your life with your choice of spouse, go on vacations in paradiso instead of the drive-by wedding you had in the game with sarah where you got married and left XD.
i married andreja first, that quest line is cool too. i also got a va'run pistol with pretty high stats after i went through the unity. all of the things you complete from the main and side stories show up around the unity and he tells you how you have affected that universe when you approach them. i did everything i could on my 3rd starborn and had so many things around the unity, it was great.
If you go through the unity it plays out as if you already lived your life through that timeline, even though you didn't experience it yourself. Kinda like the movie remote
I just beat the game with the same ending but there were more stuff in the Unity for my play through. Basically when you re talk to Sarah you basically tell her she isn't the Sarah that you know and then you have the choice if you want to try and win her over again. If you did all the side missions then you def would easily clock 100+ hours. I did a little over 40 and then eventually just said enough and just decided to beat the game. Just like any game the side missions start to get repetitive and it's like the same oh mission but to be fair there is a lot you can do and explore and if you have the time to do all that then def go for it but for me I was good to go at the 40+ mark. The main missions you probably could beat the game in 10-15 hours if u just rush through since the game wasn't hard at all. Wish there were more creatures that you went up against in the main missions, when you first encountered the Terramorph and you had the detector beeping, that was a cool moment that made me go oh s**t because at the point you were at a weak level but never got that fear of dying for the rest of the game. I guess I can't complain much since I did get to play the game for free on Game Pass and now can't wait to play Lies of P but anyways I would give the game 7 out of 10
same happened with andreja. there were some NG+ where i fought against a hunter/emissary that was andreja as well. when i heard her in her hunter voice, part of me didnt want to fight her. pretty cool aspect of the game. Also, despite looking great the mantis armor (all 3 parts) is better than the venator armor. I used to keep it on a mannequin but that I gave it to andreja and she wears it wherever she needs a space suit and she gets her hunter voice and everything. so in my final playthrough where i am working on 100%ing the game, i have the hunter at my side.
I ffeel like it's a missed opportunity that the player character didn't struggle with the lost love and having to start over. Some additional dialogue would've been nice. However, if you reject unity and go back there is some additional dialogue with each crew member, the guys at the lodge and your love interest, which feels quite wholesome.
hey man just making another message of a request to add the old intro again, i really miss it and the videos just dont hit the same without u bursting through the door. I appreciate the time and work you have put into the guides so far. thank you
This one way ending is kinda suck. Even if you refuse to go NG+ and return to your universe she still ended up told you that you two are going to go to the Unity and part way anyway someday and it makes sense because the ending specifically said “eventually she choose to reborn herself” so it’s only a matter of time. Of all the time persuasion skill should be use here the most but NOPE!
Ill say after the way this game started off in its creation Im glad the starwars Genesis got me making content on this one. The game has turned out to be really good after all. I mean i have over 150 mods but still
I hate that the emisary and the hunter and the thosands of nameless starborns will appear but heaven forbid your one and only special partner you commited to doesnt appear. I thought that going through the commitement would flag your ending for somthing more personal giveing us the option to meet or keep our sarah when we spawn in. Sadly no... Everything was pointless and meaningless. This is a crux to me. I just want my sarah back. Why build it up so high just to watch it all go falling down. Same thing when eithwr sarah or barret dies. I cant hold my wife lifeless body in my arms? Since im married i thought my Player character would go crazy and turn back time only because i crossed the commitement mission with sarah, because the powers have aspects of slowling and distorting time. That would of been epic but no.... Im haunted by there devlopment choices.
I tried to select the options to go save Sarah my injured wife in the eye but it didn't work as apparently I protected constellation and let her die somehow. Immediately after that Barratt is my companion without me asking him and he's going on about how special I am and the game is asking if I want to flirt with him. It's so insensitive!!! I haven't even buried my wife yet!!
Seeing Sarah in the Unity endgame is only telling you how your relationship inspired others. You don't actually "meet" her in Unity. She just represents one of your achievements. When you go to another universe it's actually a different Sarah and you're starting from square one again. You will NEVER meet the Sarah you married again.
Actually I saw someone else Play this and there was dialogue acknowledging that Sarah was a different Sarah than in the previous universe. It’s when you become starborn and you go back to visit in this same scene.
Really less of a secret and more of a feature. The Unity actually keeps track of major events in your world and when you leave these events all have some type of impact as your technically get merged with the universe so your influence is spread throughout. The more quests you do and more key things completed the more you see at the end and the cooler it all seems. Like your leaving the universe in a better place because of your actions. I think in total there is 8 of these? I have only gotten 6 at the point of my playthrough but basically didn't finish yet. Had two on one side and four on the other, assuming I missed two, one being another questline I didn't do and no idea what the last would be.
*SPOILERS* But like that should be obvious with a video of this title... I married Sarah in my playthrough, then the hunter killed her. Also, I had her gift mounted on my wall in the NA Pentthouse, which the mission where the Hunter first attacks causes to reset, deleting all items inside of it (except your Ranger Deputy Badge somehow) so the game killed my wife and then erased her keepsake from the universe. It's almost poetic how Bethesda that is. Also like... there's almost no dialogue relating to your romance if she dies. It's really just so hollow feeling. Like, you can't really freak out about the Emissary being your murdered wife from an alternate universe who is now trying to debate you about whether to side with her or her murderer... That's just so fucking weird.
I am having trouble I found the artifact in the cave on Indum III-D. I have tried to extract the artifact Theta using the Heller Cutter, till the power in the cutter is exhausted, 10 times, and I still can't remove the artifact. I have used this process to secure 4 other artifacts using the cutter after a maximum of two attempts. I need your help. Thank you from Depoe Bay, Oregon. This is what Bethesda suggested after I opened a Ticket with them. Force the game to refresh or redraw the problem area using one of the following methods: Fast Travel out of the area where you are having an issue, such as to a nearby planet, and return. Enter an "instanced" area where you get a loading screen and return to the area you were experiencing an issue. Waiting 72 in-game hours by sitting down or resting can reset NPC related behavior. Sometimes exploring other areas or completing unrelated questlines may resolve issues. Load an earlier save from before you zoned into that area and try again. Completely exit out of the game and reboot your system. Completely disable and remove all mods you have installed, if applicable. I am playing on an XBOX Series X
So.. the ending is basically no mans sky version 2. Rinse, repeat, mean nothing, infinitely looping in on itself. I won't lie, i cheated half way through the missions, came here with the inkling I would be disappointed. And here I am, confronted with yet another looping game story that leaves out some fancy goal in existence. I'll finish the game, but I was hoping for more honestly. I guess there is always ship building.
mariage doesn't change anything same ending if you're just in a relationship. A bit sad we can't travel with the OG team like they say they will at the end of the 1st run.
I found after meeting her after entering the unity, she was a little more curious and favourable towards the star born! And when I met her at the lodge, there was already flirting dialogue! I kinda felt like skeletor when he say's "Until We Meet Again" when seeing her! 😂
Just because all other Starborn went in alone, does not mean it is always that way. What would happen if you and Sarah held each other tightly and stepped in?
You will meet whoever your latest "romance" companion is at the end. Sarah got killed in my first playthrough and Andreja became companion by the time of the Unity.
I was thinking how cool it would be if you tried to marry a different Sarah in another universe, only to have the original Sarah you married come into that universe as a starborn being pissed off that you stayed in that universe for another her. It would make for some great dialog, who do u stay with?
Both my lovers, Barret and Sam, show up here. The dialog is different though. Similar but different. Sarah died in my game and i had not yet finished romancing Andreja. But tomorrow im gonna reload my quicksave from before the unity, since i can see its still available, and complete more missions and get more powers.
I got exactly the same result. but I got even more stuff at the Unity. Since I accomplished all faction missions, I also could see the outcomes of every decision I had made, in other words, they explained what happened in that universe after I leave.
Yall dont get the point. Of course its sad. Learning that Infinity is real but not knowing if you can take all of your loved ones with you would tear a true scientist or explorer's heart out. Taking companions is a no for me. Quantum conscience is a concept i believe is possible. In the same way animals pass down genetic information as instincts and built in knowledge. The only truly sad thing here is the starborn seem to abandon individuality for eternity. If the starborn maintain their memories then they will eventually be consumed by madness. Imagine giving everything up over and over again. Remembered every life and every person you have ever met and left behind. Being reborn and someday seeing the elderly and widowed form of your last beloved. Or it's a version of them you dont know who also doesn't know you. But everytime you look at them eternity strikes and pierces your heart as you remember a life that was once yours. The concept of quantum infinite universes is terrifyingly fascinating.
In the unity, it just shows what you accomplished. If u work for ryujin industries, it'll show your coworker in there. If u have more than 1 lover, it'll also show it there next to Sarah, guessing she is one of your lover. The unity just shows what you've accomplished and stuff
Thats just the placeholder spot for your partner of choice. Mine was empty and instead i had a monument to humanity and their quest to commune with the unity now that the starborn have agreed to leave humanity to their devices. A whole reality pushing out starborn into the whole multiverse, i can dig that.
You arent meeting her in the unity, thats not here its a representation of her created by the unity just like all the other people who are in there and its not just Sarah it happens with whoever you "marry"
They went with the silent protagonist route because it's just overall better for roleplaying. The idea being you can give/imagine whatever voice you want. And who you meet in the Unity isn't literally you anyway and they even gave a roleplay option where you can tell them that you don't sound like that.
Most of the comments are mourning the loss of connection with Sarah. Meanwhile, I'm sighing into my pillow because I found out too late that I have to rebuild my million-credit custom ship.
Thank you. The countless side and faction quests. Fml
I do wish they would level match gear and let you keep ships like most ng+ do
Yeah, I have built three of those stupid ships... waving goodbye each time I head off into the sunset. It bugs me to no end to get to the sunken temple, and find all those credits and kit just to leave it all behind.
You're a real one for that.
The upside being that you don't have to grind through getting the skill points to re-unlock what's needed.
That’s actually kind of depressing ngl. Hoping the story expansion Shattered Space revisits this and let’s you actually enter the unity with your partner
I entered the unity to get away from her. After marrying her she turns very creepy and cringey.

She's terrifying. If my wife started talking to me like that I'd be checking my morning coffee for rat poison. Combine that with Bethesda's trademark facial animation and cold, blank, dead eyes..... Yeah, no. I'm out. Besides, Vasco doesn't get upset when you commit war crimes.

She's an emissary somewhere getting killed by a player who sided with the hunter
Not really given you could choose not to enter and go back to them.
Totally agree. I want to adventure at her side.
Well how are you Gunna ensure that you're with your loved ones in the next life? It's sort of subjective, enjoy what time you have together now.
It's not real... you need to relax.😊
@@uhuh9595 i know, just lovin the game lol
When the Hunter attacks the lodge, she died for me after we were married. I reloaded that save to make her live and finished the story like normal, with this really sad ending. Now I think the story would have been 100 times more positive if she had died. I could have entered the unity with no attachment to my old universe with the hopes of reuniting with a new version of her in a new universe. Major regrets for save scumming so many hours ago.
@@jaymac147 tea buddy. exactly what i did and think.
@@jaymac147 Same for me. I was married and Sarah died on the Eye during the Hunter attack. Now I'm romancing Andreja! lol
@@Neyenn You get that also if you talk them down from battle
Cool! I was wondering that. I only had 3 things appear because I had not completed any side quests. I went back and will do them before returning.
If you want some extra secret dialogue: enter the armillary but walk back and not go through the unity. You will get some extra dialogue with all of the constellation members and if you are married to any of them, you will get some extra options.

@@NetraAmorosi thanks. I just ignored natural feelings. Some of the RPGs i have played contain human emotional story lines similar to RL experiences. On NG+ 4 now 😊 👍
Disappointing that there's no dialogue in NG+ that lets you tell your LI that you loved and/or married them in a different universe. I imagine that could make for some interesting conversations and interactions. Feels like a missed opportunity.
There actually is but only if you choose the skip main quest option when you first go in the lodge.
You can actually. If you skip the main quest and tell everyone you’re starborn
The sacrifice of becoming starborn is a tough one
i think it's made on purpose. To force the player to make a difficult decision, or just make the player reflect on making a choice xD
@@cjpert5286 It's designed to make you choose between being happy with what you have or to ditch it all in the pursuit of ultimate power. I kind of like it. It's a very human dilemma.

@@Thatgamer_or_oddtrash yea losing your loved one is literally the saddest thing to ever happen. like my character literally married Sarah and in dialogues me and Sarah told each other a bunch of times that we cannot imagine living without each other. that we would never want to be in a world without one another - and then... in the ending. exactly that happens. we never ever. Ever see each other again. thats torture, thats literally hell. that ending made me cry. this was the Darkest ending ive ever seen in a video game honestly. like you are in a world that you "know" but everyone there.. is different versions of people you knew. its NOT the people you knew. and your love, whoever of the 4 romance options it may be, for me it was Sarah, crossed through aswell but.. maybe she ended up in a different universe than us? and now we are both in some universes out of an Infinite amount and may never.. ever.. find each other again. thats truely Hell. like we even Married. man. what a dark, dark, and Cold ending. you truely become completely Alone. but... if she could pass through with me - as i was Trying to do, because i took her on my ship when i went to cross, but i still ended up alone - if she could come with me... I would be happy. be a starborn with me. that is all i would want. Right after you talk to her in ng+1 and Star the first quest, wait like 10 seconds then talk to her again, and you will get some unique dialogue. I won’t spoil it but it’s one of the best non main story/quests bound dialogues in the game.
Wow this is truly depressing. A videogame is supposed to be fun, specially a RPG. I really wanted to be a starborn but now i'm heartbroken with these scenes. Call me crazy but when I'm done with this playthrough I decided that they're going to live happily ever after in this universe. Then I'll create another one and I will not romance any npc until my 10th time as a starborn and then well established in that universe forever as their guardians. This ending really left me with a very bad taste, depressed and heartbroken :(
The game brilliantly puts you in the position of choosing to become more powerful or be happy with what you have. It's a values thing and what you choose says a lot about your character.
....i have no idea how to respond to your weird take that a game isnt fun if its anything but happy...but i just gotta say...shit take
@@BopaBola It's fun to play through but the ending renders everything you've done and any future playthrough pointless.
It doesn't have to be happy but it should at least matter, and it doesn't.
Shepard dying in Mass Effect was sad but it mattered and she/he ultimately accomplished what they set out to do. Their death meant something. Their actions leading up to the ending mattered.
It doesn't here, or in a game like cyberpunk for instance.
If you like spending your time and energy on something only to have it rendered pointless at the end then you're a special kind of sociopathic masochist.

They really should do something with Sona. For all intents and purposes she is forgotten after her quest. I wanted her to be on the ship.
I think the reason why you cant go to Unity with your partner is quite clear here. Going through Unity is another metaphor for death. This is the reason why only you can go through it since death is a personal experience for everyone.
The game is pretty clear that crossing the unity is not death. "Do you feel dead?"
You just don't know enough to speak one way or the other about what the unity "is" and the game is clear about that as well.
It's
Magic
Ffs

For a game with different endings and crossing universes and all, I would've expected way more interaction with companions and known NPC.. Like Baldur's Gate 3, you just cross the road and you have full fledged conversation with your companions and they react to alot of things you do. Here you can *literally* go into another universe and your new dialogues are very limited. I just experienced this and it made me sad. It was kind of a gut punch. I was married to her and both went into the Unity to never have that love like that again. Definitely a reminder of real life and losing loved ones.😢

I managed to marry both Andreja and Sarah, I wonder how that is going to end-up in the Unity.

I was hoping their was a way that time could move forward 12 years, you can have a baby with Sarah. Like F04, it would have your hair color and her eyes.

Wow
I'd prefer to make a few sandcastles before I leave.
side quests are better in ng+
I didn't marry Sarah in my first run through but did the romance part. She said the same thing in the unity as your married play through
Two things I noticed.
If the game ended with you and Sarah going to the next universe it would entirely negate the difficulty of the decision to become starborn.
when it says sarah eventually chooses to reborn herself does that mean she goes into the unity and disappears from you universe ?
No she wusses out the first time through, but then she told me to get real and accept we’re gonna do it eventually lol.

It's another reality. They aren't the same people. Just romance them again.
She doesn't seem disappointed and is happy to see you but seems skeptical if the two of you manage to control your curiosity regarding the Unity.
@@AVELOS460 I love this reply. Thank you for sharing.

I know right. Even though you can go see the new Sarah. It just isn’t the same. Fucking Todd Howard 😂

I wish that after rejecting the unity, the quest would go away or be completed
You can change thing like no one never even imagined, eternety, friends that last forever, rencoutering your loved ones again as they dont remember you.
its not just sarah who ever you marry/commit to is there like that.
Any romanced follower will be shown in Unity. Its a choice u make - to romance or not to romance. And that decision shows as consequence in Unity.
Spoiler
My Sarah died so i ended up marrying Andreja and that ended said more people became to doubt the great serpent and leave it behind
i married andreja first, that quest line is cool too. i also got a va'run pistol with pretty high stats after i went through the unity.
all of the things you complete from the main and side stories show up around the unity and he tells you how you have affected that universe when you approach them. i did everything i could on my 3rd starborn and had so many things around the unity, it was great.
It's not a secret if everyone knows about it.
I guess I can't complain much since I did get to play the game for free on Game Pass and now can't wait to play Lies of P but anyways I would give the game 7 out of 10
can you romance characters in new game plus or no?
same happened with andreja. there were some NG+ where i fought against a hunter/emissary that was andreja as well. when i heard her in her hunter voice, part of me didnt want to fight her. pretty cool aspect of the game.
Sorry to say it, same was said for Andreja, because Sarah is already a starborn. hint hint
It might not be as unique as you think. Andreja showed up in my unity with the same “marriages blossom” narration that it gives you here.
Ill say after the way this game started off in its creation Im glad the starwars Genesis got me making content on this one. The game has turned out to be really good after all. I mean i have over 150 mods but still
where my modders at? we need to have the choice to bring her with lol
It's very similar regardless of who you have affinity with, married or not. I had the same thing with Andreja before reaching the commitment stage.
@@cargorunnerUK Bro I would be livid
Seeing Sarah in the Unity endgame is only telling you how your relationship inspired others. You don't actually "meet" her in Unity. She just represents one of your achievements. When you go to another universe it's actually a different Sarah and you're starting from square one again. You will NEVER meet the Sarah you married again.
Actually I saw someone else
Play this and there was dialogue acknowledging that Sarah was a different Sarah than in the previous universe.
Same
I wonder if that’s the same statement if you just get married period. You can marry all of the companions so maybe each one has a custom ending.
Force the game to refresh or redraw the problem area using one of the following methods:
Fast Travel out of the area where you are having an issue, such as to a nearby planet, and return.
It's the same with Andreja. So it's safe to assume that any romance options would also appear in the Unity.
So.. the ending is basically no mans sky version 2.
This happens with everyone you marry. You aren't really meeting her. He gives you a rundown of all the effects you have
mariage doesn't change anything same ending if you're just in a relationship.
This isnt a “secret ending” it says the exact same thing regardless of who you marry. Its just part of the game
That ending is the same ending with any character you romance in starfield it also doesn't matter if you're married
My problem with Starfield is that here at Unity your character has a voice, why doesn't your character voice responses throughout the game then?
They went with the silent protagonist route because it's just overall better for roleplaying. The idea being you can give/imagine whatever voice you want. And who you meet in the Unity isn't literally you anyway and they even gave a roleplay option where you can tell them that you don't sound like that.
