Used my 5 metre Response whip for the first time yesterday on the River Lea in Hertfordshire. Had 7lb of Roach in 4 hours fishing to hand with Roach to 8ozs. Lovely whip,light and great for silvers, 10/10👍

You seem to have a lot of experience. Could you please answer a question. I'm not sure how far off the bottom i should ppsition my hookbait when whip fishing (new to it). When i put it up in the water i don't seem to get many bites but when it is close to the bottom or on it i can't seem to quite register the bites. The float does not go under, just moves to the side (hard to spot on a moving river). Any tips?
catching that many id go barbless with the keepnet mouth almost between legs, quick shake of hooklength an they drop in... rebait and out much quicker...
he didnt show what he put ON his hook. i would have liked to know. will yellow corn kernel work? you hook one on your hook and throw a handful into the drink.
Can you elasticate the solid tip of a whip?What elastic size will you use and how will you attach the elastic to the tip and rig line to elastic?Thanks.
I use elastic on two of my kits and two flick tips on the others. If I suspect there are ide and larger Rudd coming out I opt for the elastic rigs. Flick tip for all others.

Easy fishing your videos got me into whip fishing on canals and small commercials and it’s now my best method to use

Think to many people chase big fish on commercials, not saying that’s a bad thing but natural waters are great on the right day

Whip floats?
Hi guys. Can you elasticate these whips by taking the solid tip out or is it too long to do that. I know you can with the absolute whips. Thanks
