FYI i hate that when my hubby comes out and says the same darned thing when i finish mowing the lawn. I am the gardener in my house and i run the power tools too. Great job Kevin and James keep up the great work. be kind to yourselves as well as others you are the best. I wish you guys lived closer to us. would invite you guys and Rachal in for coffee or tea and some nice sandwiches. You all rock and so do your Mum and Dad. I am from the UK but i live in Canada been here in the frozen north now for over 30 years now, seems like yesterday i was stuck in border control after getting off of a 7 hour flight but we wont go there now. God bless you all
I own a handyman service. 4 days a week I'm doing home repairs, building decks, fences, staining decks and fences. I made a lot of real good friends and now I also mow 20 lawns on Friday. The lawns are 1/2 acre a piece. I charge $70.00 a yard. My clients are high end customers. I could have more lawns but finding someone to work full time for 16hr-20 hr is extremely difficult. So I keep it where it's at. All my yards are in the same neighborhood. I generally have a new man every two months. They all want big money but they all love calling in sick on Mondays threw text message. So I work a guy now part time. As needed
"You missed a spot".....lol You & James work so well together. This was pretty quick! Looks great guys. I'm with you on drinking after people. Immediate family is the exception. Keep up the good works.
Love your videos! You do a great job and the after pics are always what I would expect if I was a customer! By the way…you missed a spot!😉 Stay safe and God bless you and your family!
We are a family owed/operated lawn care. We mow for a church with a yard about 2 football fields and they want to dig up about a 20x30 ft patch of grass this summer. We only charge $75! Crazy discount because it was our first big job so we needed the business. They are upset because we are still going to charge the same amount even if they dig it up. They want to find someone new (fine by me) but my husband is upset that they don't understand. He likes the church because it strips amazing. What do you all think? Do we stick to our guns?
Is that $75 per cut or to dig up the 20x30 patch of grass. Churches can be great net working so it might be a good account but if you made an agreement for lawn service digging up the patch of grass would be a separate job completely. Good accounts breed good accounts and crap accounts breed crap accounts. Especially when they are done at little to no cost. People love to talk about how "CHEAP" there guy is and its a revolving trap. A crappie account also likes to disguise as a good account. That might be through the line of communication or from the way the property looks to you in comparison to what you have...grass is greener kind of thing. The way to avoid headache and get the rate that you need to be profitable is to have clear communication on your process and procedures. Things like a clear out like that lawn service is one price and other projects will have a separate rate that will be outlined prior to service
PA LAWN GUY> Looks like someone over did the clover. Clover in the correct amount is good for lawns that have poor soil and reduces the needed fertilizer, Like your videos .
Gotta learn how to lay them stripes good. Also try 3 pointing your turns to avoid tire marks and what not. Double cutting raise your deck to spread clipping more evenly. Ps. You probably know all this but this is my first video I seen of yours!
I’m starting my first year in lawncare here in Norman, OK. I was wondering if I could DM you about pricing? I here some people use the $0.01 per sqft. rule, but once you get to 10,000 sqft the number start getting crazy. There’s no way a person will get clients with over pricing. I also heard $1 a minute which could hold the same concept or you could make way less then you would charging accordingly.
The guy that passed this lawn off to me was cutting it at $35 And up until last year I was cutting it at $40. The price point of service isn't so much dependant upon competition as much as the mental shift of being able to sell the service at that price.
Started having my lawn cut .55 acres, charges $45. I always give him $50 and tip both guys $20, at least once a month. It’s so nice to have it cut/trimmed/blown. I wish I could give him at least $100 each time. If you can afford it, tip these guys. I’m so appreciative that they do, what I can’t anymore. They are trying to make a living, help them if you can, you will feel good! They have a lot of expenses and it’s hot out there!
you can go both ways but you will trash out your legs...i like to wear shorts in the summer to help with the heat so going forward really helps with keeping you legs from being super jacked up. I havent for got about the chain link fence video Either i have been looking for a good property to make a video with for it.
actually i think trimming backwards looks better,it feels the grass gets trimmed twice to make the clipping smaller and the results look more evenly, but definetly forwards is easier and quicker . just my experience.
I think trimming backwards is better as well especially if you are new because its easier to do a good job. In the video I was more of explaining the way james was doing it in the video puts all of the grass and any little rock right in to the shins not to big of a deal if your wearing pants but when it gets HOT in the summer I wear shorts and I end up with bloody shins.😬😬🤘😎 thank you for taking the time to drop some feedback I have a weedeating video coming up and comments like this are really helpful
Lawn Care Juggernaut I trim backwards, or counterclockwise because it keeps from throwing grass onto the house or fence. I don’t know what software you use,...but you should consider looking into The Customer Factor. I’ve had great luck with it.
61 instead of a 36 😂 that says it all right there. Last week a customer gave me a crazy coronaraise on a yard 😳 I'm about to start raising prices like I have no sense 🤪🤪🤑🤣 How are you going to have your helper cleanup his language when you gomet a little footloose and fancy free yourself?
I normally get to my first lawn at 7am but when I had industrial park lawns I would sometime show up as early as 4 am because it doesn't bother anyone.
I can’t stand when other lawn care providers are douche bags towards other providers just because. There’s enough work to go around, and no one is guaranteed a job, everyone has to prove their worth.
Neighbors trying to kill you annnnnd totally forgetting Lawn Care accounts🤦♂️🤦♂️ You need a disclaimer on this channel that you’re not actually an Oklahoma guy, you’re a Kansas transplant. You had me fooled for a little bit too, but I knew something wasn’t right. 👎👎

i love those type properties- i got a few like that - most of my residential are 25min for the $60..
Tearing up the lawn with your tires is a big no no. I would get The Look if I ever did that from the boss. You missed a spot!

Hi Juggernaut, you missed a spot. Have a great day enjoy.
I’m starting my first year in lawncare here in Norman, OK. I was wondering if I could DM you about pricing? for sure man reach out to me on Facebook if you would like.
this is a 15,000 sq ft lot
$100 is never over charging in my opinion
I have freckles so I don't if you missed a spot!!!
Thanks for the video. I wish I could get 50 for 1/2 acre lot. In my area in southeast Mich. 40 is top end. Lots of competition in Ann Arbor MI area.
The guy that passed this lawn off to me was cutting it at $35 And up until last year I was cutting it at $40.
The price point of service isn't so much dependant upon competition as much as the mental shift of being able to sell the service at that price.
You will get there I struggle with the same mental battle of pricing for years.

That is correct🙊 my wife said the same thing. You should see the conversation off camera. Hansen brothers haven't been this wild since the 90's
@@LawnCareJuggernaut Oh, I'm not surprised 😂 That was your brother? He looks different. Younger or something.
Missed a spot
Phrase of the day shoulda been you missed a yard. We have forgotten a lawn a couple times. It happens.
😂😂😂 that would have been so much better
And you all missed a spot. 😂😂
"You missed a spot" so...question What time do you start mowing? Or do u ask the customer what time? Thanks
