I got a 500 Bafanger on the way. The OG controller is going to stay in the box. Do you think you could handle 1500 watts of sine wave? I'm not looking for top speed I want that acceleration! The shunt mod is out of the question. I don't trust it.

Definitely useful information! I have done about 3,200 watts on a Bafang G62 (which is the motor Ariel Rider uses), and it's a bit much for a light bike like a RadMini. It's literally flipped over a couple times due to the excessive torque, but I like keeping up with Sur Rons on paved trails. I still use a Phaserunner, but the programming is apparently quite different from yours.
You have to test it for longer than that, 100 miles is baby steps compared to the 25k miles i have on my RX. I'd have to know what the reliability is long term.

I also wanted to pick your brain on running a dual battery set up or just getting a bigger battery with more aH.

I'm wondering if I could get a bit more oomph out of a 35a controller sold by Risun Motor vs my stock 25a with my 48v 21ah setup? I'm getting 33 mph on that heavy Mad Mod now. What say yee? 😃
The G60 will handle 1600 watts, but if you go above 1800, the magnet glue will melt and you'll get a strange noise about 28mph as the magnets touch the stator plates. You can reglue using a high temperature structural adhesive like Permabond TA4590, but it's a lot of work. Same problem for the Bafang G2, but once done, you can go over 3000 watts.
@@Altema22 Thanks bro I never cared about warranties anyways. Now I'm regretting spending two fiddy on a new display from Sondors because of a broken pin on the plug in for the controller. I could have got that 35a for 139.00 with a color display. I'm ordering it now anyway.

Small steps during the breaking in period short burst of power to start to be more aware of what you're bike is doing or melting...

ZX uses a weaker motor than RX S2 series

yeah it seems they took it out of amazon but I still see some on ebay upp 72v 40ah
also if you get the 72v 25ah upp it would fit in a super73 KJ bag frame but not the 40ah
