Really love that it doesn't need any plastics. The body is all tubes. Very good lines.

  • @NikolaiOfTheJungle

The bigger tube really makes up for what the eye is missing when looking for a traditional motorcycle’s additional parts that are unneeded on this. I agree with everyone about the looks, they scream what I’ve grown to love about the styling of cafe racers, Triumph’s, and Ducati’s. The white frame tastefully stands out drawing the focus of the eyes in and also hiding all of the components while maintaining that focus. I think either the color of the kickstand or maybe just the straight shape of the kickstand seemingly being on the underside of the bottom takes away from some of its natural curve and flow. I also wondered about how not having the ability to grip the tank with your thighs plays into riding. Overall I’m blown away by the minimalist sense of it from the spectacular tube design, brake lights to the super useful side indicators/blinkers which are perfectly designed along with the handle bars. It’s very approachable and screams, “RIDE ME” Awesome work!!

while what you said is certainly true, I don't think for this design you need a "tank". The rider's knees are already holding on to the frame, similar to the tank on petrol bikes. If it need to be bigger, a strategically placed rubber padding would be fine.

    • @roscius6204
      @roscius6204 11 месяцев назад +1

@@VuLamDang Yep, what I would suggest is a modular/adjustable attachment.
It's about leverage, you want to be able to put force into the frame behind the steering head both in and down.
and also for steep down hills and braking.

    • @FalloutBreakbeat
      @FalloutBreakbeat 10 месяцев назад +2

Also when you really need to get on the brakes it's nice to be able to squeeze the tank rather than handle all that stopping force with your arms.

I'm a TCMax rider and really like the ideas around this and it's still in dev.So far:-
    Unknowns:
Pricing bracket [anything above £3 5k would lessen appeal]
    Power output
    Range
    Decibel at revs
    Likes:
    Tubular thickness
    Striking aesthetics
    Balance
    adjustable peggage
    Off road appeal
    Dislikes:
    Thin sloping seat (ma nuts!)
Indicators smallness and location [easily obscured]
Sounds pretty darn noisy for ev bike
Lack of width betwix the knees
    Name could be tweaked...
Overall excited for them and the ev moped/bike sector but pricing will define its take up crucially. Good luck sir!

The sound of petrol engines is one of the things that draws me in. If you can't stand the sound of engines, move to the country. Plus pedestrians not being able to hear the bike coming has already introduced some issues in being aware of each other and not getting hit by a bike you can't hear coming.

Although mid drive geared motor setup appears to be very fancy, in terms of pickup and torque, a hub motor is much better, in terms of efficiency and space management and also riding range. You could even go for a dual hub motor setup, where you have one on the front wheel, which gets activated only when extra torque is required. The saved space can be used to house a bigger battery and put in more storage space. The hub motor should be of appropriate diameter, to match the wheel size, as best as possible. More poles would give even better performance. Just a suggestion of mine, after observing many ebikes.

Looks nice! However probably something I would change, have the seat bolstered all the way to the tube or do some vents on the solid white sheet, looks bit weird now that everything else that's white is pretty much just the tube frame. Blinkers, well, add some detail to those and maybe hide their wires or use white cables. Maybe, just maybe I would kinda connect the tubes at the end to form an oval base for oval rear lights. These are all relatively easy mods to do, so I would definitely buy the big as is, if I needed one, and just mod it to my liking.

That's great, now when I'm at the top of the mountain topping off my petrol bike with the reserve tank I can bring with me, I'll take some pictures so you can see what it's like up there! Agreed you could possibly recharge that with solar, if the clouds don't prevent that, oh and bring enough food so you don't starve waiting to charge.

Looks great. Nice to see a London based company manufacturing things. My pet peeve with electric motorcycles and cars is how quiet they are. Dislike obnoxiously loud vehicles but its at times good to hear a vehicle coming for safety reasons. Great when they're all smart and can identify pedestrians and each other so collisions are a thing of the past but until then.

brilliant! would be great to see a collaboration with Aptera to get the motor on the back wheel instead of a chain, belt or shaft!

    Aesthetics,
Black out the rear shock and the Brake Levers.
Add a white front fender (Super moto style).
    Change the headlight to white.
    Add a bash plate.

I get the idea of setting the E bike apart from petrol bikes by not having a tank but I like a tank that can be used for small storage.

I would use a belt instead of a chain.
Makes less sound to and runs allot smoother.
Model name starting with DTP and then wattage.
    Good luck!

I've been a petrol head since before I got on the road in the late 70s, but I bought an artisan Evo3 a couple of years ago and loved it to bits. It was just so much fun in a small package, but stupidly expensive to insure.

in america you can basically run anything electric on the streets. i have seen mono wheels, ebikes, eboards, go carts lol from 500w bikes to 40kw monsters. the police look the other way albeit there might be laws about max watts without getting it tagged, the police really are blind to it.
