I did not loose much because it is all second hand but I miss the camera every time I visited photos I had taken with it. Today I manage to get another Leica T with 18mm Elmarit set for €850 and I decided that I will keep this set and use it more. I always come back to this video for inspiration. Thanks Mattias!

I recently bought a TL2 and the 35mm Summilux-TL and 18mm elmarit-TL lenses. Both lenses are fantastic and the smaller compact body has made the TL2 my go to walk around camera instead of carrying my M9 with me everywhere I go.

Loved my T for about a year and a half now, got some great shots with it. My TL2 arrives tomorrow. Can't wait to see how the colors compare... The TL2 and 18mm are priced right now like the T and 23mm were when you made this review, so it would be a great time for somebody to pick up the system
Wow...just wow. I never, not in my entire life have seen an honest, simple yet very informative, realistic review of a camera like this. The content, the way you presented the facts/arguments were really spot on compared to many other 'camera reviewers' out there who only care about features. Well, as we know it, there is a difference between a photographer who reviews a camera, than any blokes who reviews camera - just for the sake of making reviews! Now, I seriously have to reconsider my 'budget' option. I'm saving for a used Leica X 113. But recently saw someone selling the original T with 23 f2 with a decent price. After watching this video, I think I am leaning towards the T with 23! And oh, what a lovely pictures taken by the T you got there. Subscribed!
Mattias, that was brilliant! Lovely camera amazing images, but that finish looks so easy to mark! I`m a Fuji fan, but love the Leica, it`s futureproof looks are just stunning!
Thanks Mattias for your youtube channel. It is informative and entertaining. Leica, Sigma, Ricoh whatever...your realistic (non fanboy) reviews show the key strengths and weaknesses of the camera's you review. Never considered the T, definitely on my radar now.
This channel is so great. Every video is so relaxing, entertaining, and informative. But watching your videos seriously fuels my GAS haha. I would seriously love to try this camera out but lack of an evf is a killer for me.
Mike Anastasio Yeah you don't need to try every camera. Its just my obsession :) There is an external viewfinder for the T. Unfortunately I haven't tried it so I can't say if its worth it.
Great video. I can ALSO think of five reasons to buy this camera. 1) it's a Leica 2) it's a Leica 3) it's a Leica 4) it's a Leica 5) it's a Leica Everything else is a bonus!
Thanks buddy I really appreciate your time and consideration I have decided to get one just because I think it's a unique little camera and I will have FUN with it and ultimately I'm not a pro I just want to have FUN best wishes Denis
Loving the combination of original Leica T body and Summicron 23mm f/2: relatively affordable, great compact sharp prime, superb image quality - complements my Sony 7rii and 7s. Recommend buying the (overpriced) viewfinder.
I love your own mind on cameras. I've started using an old Nikon D80. I love the results from the CCD sensor and I feel you look outside the box to. Best wishes for your channel. Mike
Got this camera for 960$ with Leica Vario Elmar 18-56 f3.5-5.6 in almost mint condition. Very satisfied! Colors are waaaay better then on Fuji X-E3 with 18-55 f2.8-4. And design!! So beautiful and minimalistic without too many “no need to use” buttons. Now very interested to try Leica CL (1500$ for body only...) Not unreachableprive but one thing to mention - if the camera is quite expensive then im often afraid to take it out and shoot.
Hi Mattias, thanks a lot for this video about the Leica T and for all others you have done over the past years. I like your work and your pictures are really talking to me. I have owned this camera and i think it is a very special one, so I decided yesterday to buy it once again. Sure, it's not the best at all but a very versatile one (it can be use with M- Lenses through the M-adapter) and like you said, Leica Lenses are just incredible. The Leica T delivers beautiful images with a little patience. wish you all the best, Peter
hello, i heard and saw one video, if you use adapters and use manual focus on this camera it will have 5 second auto photo preview after every photo captured...and it cant be turned off! so basically you have 5 second freeze after every capture.. is this true? or not anymore? your reply and input will be much appreciated..! as im very interested to buy this camera for manual lenses :') thank you
@@chunghyo.s2648 Hi, I would say 3 seconds for auto review and you can't turn it off. It is also true when you use the TL lenses. The T 701 and TL are not fast cameras and have no focus peaking but magnification X3 and X6. Not a drama for portraiture, Landscape and still ok for street (if you use the hyperfocal @f8). What I can tell is that the results are very good (if you shoot Raw) with the T 701 because of the 16m pixels Sony sensor but you have to take your time ;-) If you want a Leica with the latest tech then the Leica CL is the best bet. But the CL is not as special as the T 701 wich has a popup flash.. I like a lot shooting with the T701 with TL 18mm Elmarit or TL 23mm Summicron. It's really a nice experience every time. With M lenses like a 50mm Summicron, (indeed 75mm with the T) you will get beautiful results especially for portraits. The colors are great. Wich lenses are u going to use with ?
@@phathorn wow thank you for the detailed reply! i seee.. noted. well im still considering :) i am planning to replace my fuji x70 with leica T (planning to use it manually with m mount adaptors as my secondary camera) because i cant afford the TL lenses.. :/ i can find some cheap m mount lenses in my local store :) thats why. (7artisans/voigtlander lenses) but im concerned if it has that 3 second auto review.. :( but man Leica T is so good looking :)) anyways thank you for your time Mr Peter!
@@chunghyo.s2648 Your welcome. For me the auto review is not a big deal, this camera is not fast anyway. But you can still shoot during the autoriew, with no access at what you shoot
Enjoyed your review. I own a Leica X (Typ 113) and enjoy it. The Leica 23mm Summilux on the Leica X is quite something. It beats my Fuji X100 and also X-T10 + 23mm F1.4 lens by a wide margin. I am wondering if you have tried the Leica X and, if so, you opinion of it in comparison to the Leica T + 23mm Summicron.
Love your video's Mattias. I wish I could afford some Leica glass, but if wishes were fishes, we'd all cast nets. On a side note, comparing the 100F on price doesn't seem very fair. OVF/EVF, leaf shutter, built in ND filter.. all nice features that cost money to add. It's a shame Fujifilm hasn't updated the X-70, which would be a spot on comparison, that the Leica T would provably win.
Interesting perspective. So if you had to choose between the Leica T, x100f, x70, and the Ricoh GR II, which one would you pick (I know the question will pop up, "well it depends what you want to use it for," but I'm asking you for you not for me).
If I was only gona have one camera it would be the GRii or X70. But since I have a fixed lens 28mm already in for example the Sigma DP1 I would choose the Leica /.
Very nice review as always, Mattias! I actually came to it while searching for Fujifilm X100F reviews, as I already have an X-Pro 2 with some superb XF lenses. However, with the new TSA policies, I was considering a fixed-lens camera like the Fuji X100F. As sharpness and detail are my main concern for an upcoming portrait shoot, it would have been nice to see the same image shot with both the X100F and the Leica, same lighting, exposure, etc., just to compare detail rendering of each system. Thank you sir.
Steve Solomon I have done such a test but with the Xpro2 + 23mm next to the Leica. The result basically was that the extra resolution the Fuji has was lost due to the softer lens. I can ad the test to my blog post by tomorrow.
Last week i bought this camera, after watching this video for a few times i convinced myself to brought this camera home. Got it around 400usd with holster and T-M mount adapter included. Glad that i could achieve this camera than a6000 for similar prices. Thank you Mattias! :D

I have owned nearly every brand of camera, but never a Leica. The “Leica colors” and “Leica look” arw things I would love to experience, though. For me, though, the Leica T just doesn't seem like a real Leica. I have no doubt that it's a great camera, I just worry it wouldn't have the same output as other Leicas.

@@chunghyo.s2648 Hi, when I got mine recently it already has the latest firmware update and never experience this issue. I can't talk about the previous firmware since I never experienced it. I am using generic $35 adapter, and works well in my opinion.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter wow reallyy??? 😳 Then probably that youtuber got a faulty one. Damn. I was worrying for nothing.. Anyways thank you so much for replying Mattias! Its clearer now after hearing 2 different individuals input 😁 btw I always enjoy your reviews! (Bought and tried fuji x70, leica x2, gr ii, Nikon df, Olympus pen f because of you!) 😁😁😁
All Leicas shoot incrediable images, this one is no exception, I use vintage MF lenses and bought the T used for manily how well it would pair with my lenses but was surprised at the aewsome images this body produced, 16MP means that ISO performance is really good in low light, I had to get the visoflex 020 cause I hate shooting this as a point and shoot, Now its so nice to use, downside - poor battery life
Hi Mattias. I see the price of the Leica T is extremely reasonable. Are there any affordable auto lenses (I have a good selection of vintage Helios and Minolta) that you could recommend? The 23mm is quite pricey and there aren't too many body + lens deals at the moment. Thanks, Paul.
It would be great, but we will have to see how to get it to Argentina, we are really far away! Come to visit us on vacation, there are excellent places to take photos here! : )
Just bought the T along with the Minolta lens, thank you for the review...but now I’m having trouble with a black screen. Seems like the camera isn’t reading the lens. Any suggestions? Does the camera need an update? Or it is there a setting I’m missing?
Hey! I just grabbed one for under $600, but no money for those expensive leica lens at the moment. How is it shooting with your vintage lens? I know we need an adapter and it's all manual focus and aperture control. Can you expand on your experience or share any tips on using vintage lens? THANKS!!!
L Mount Alliance opens up new native lenses: www.dpreview.com/forums/post/62430946 (Sigma 16/30/56 F1.4 release JAN2020; they're already out in m4/3 + E, and well reviewed, but here they're first-party not third-party.) For adapting, the Voigtlaender M 35mm F/2.5 is cheap, small and sharp. Also MC-21 is an autofocus EF-L adaptor :)
Now I have to check out your Ricoh GXR video! You didn't say... I'll search, but I assume the Leica T is an APS-c sensor. (still haven't seen the name of your cute doggie)
Couldnt agree with you more about this cam, but the real reason for me is the leica color science - there's just nothing quite like it. The photos just look right - to me, anyways. Even with the zoom lens (which, by the way, is great)
Great video Mattias. I have owned a T for a couple of years and it gives me files that need less tweaking than my a7. I also have a huge Rokkor collection and it is a great back for those old lenses. The workflow is weird and definitely not for pay jobs. That being said it is the most enjoyable camera I currently own. It forces you to concentrate on the shot and removes distractions.
@@KTK44 I m using a Hawks factory Leica M to SL helicoid adaptor on the camera with a generic MD Rokkor MD/M mount on my lenses. I use this rig because it lets me use much closer focusing on than the factory spec. I also have some M lenses and VC lenses in my collection.
Love the video! So friendly and lots of love for photography & gear. Somehing about leica.. I was like why is it so expensive?!?! But I somehow understand it now. I love the looks of both gear and image. I want one myself haha but I will stick to my 550D from Canon. It's good enough for me
Breathtaking closeup reels! How would you compare the tl Leica lenses to the Ricoh gr3 lens? I actually own a Ricoh gr3 and a Leica tl2 with the 18mm tl lens and I’m thinking of ditching the gr3 because the rendering on the Leica optics is just better. I previously had the lumix cm-1 as my phone and even that being a fake Leica with a 1-inch sensor… the Ricoh could not emulate that microcontrast you get from a Leica lens 😢
Got a used leica t from Stockholms Leica center :-) Thanks for the review! Colours are so much better than Sony :-) I went to Aquaria today and the color are great straight out of camera. Not like Sony which had crazy white balance last I was there.
I've always wanted to own a Leica but never really considered their mirrorless models. I might give this one a try though. I can rent one to test it out.
Mattias, do you think that a good Panasonic body(G9 or GX8) with a good Leica lens will produce the Leica magic, or do the lenses need a Leica sensor to get the colour and separation Leica is famous for? I welcome anyone's opinion on this.
To get the Leica look you need Leica gear. With that said, I have a Panasonic G80 and it produces fantastic colors. So if you want a Panasonic, just go for it. The G9 seems epic.
Thanks for the reply, Mattias. I have an ancient Lumix DMC-G3 that is too old by which to judge Panasonic quality. I'll have to rent a G9 with a Leica lens and see if I fall in love. I still have my Leica M3 and R6 film cameras to lean on if I can't find the satisfaction in the digital realm
A really good deal has come up on a used Leica T, but it doesn't come with a lens. Should I go ahead and grab it anyway or is it really all about the leica lenses?
I might buy this camera. Own x70, xt1, G7X, hero5, don't need another camera, but cheaper than buying a sports car at my time of life "53", u have a mid life crisis lol
I would like to know if the "Panasonic LUMIX G LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm / F1.7 ASPH. H-X015 -K" lens works well on Leica T And what adapter I need. Which ones do you recommend? Thanks
I have taken in deeply by the simple yet with depth on all the camera reviews by Mattias. Because of him I bought the X70. I was about to sell off my Leica T in a week but this video have stopped me from doing that as he convinced me of its potential and the cheapest way to own a Leica. I saw his suggestion on the Vintage Minolta MD Rokko lens for Leica T. I wish to seek your kind advise whether the Minolta 50mm f1.4 MC Rokkor will also be a good substitute as I could not find the one you recommended in Malaysia? Also which adaptor are you using on Leica T? Your kind advise would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
They are probably gone because of this video. But they will comeback. And a tip, start shopping world wide on ebay. Shipping is cheap and using PayPal you can feel safe.
I want one, I have the Sony A7 at the moment. They're around the same price 2nd hand but the A7 just has a lot more. The focus peaking and electric viewfinder paired with the image quality top it off for me, though I do plan on getting the Sony AR7.
Hello! Will the 23mm TL fit the Leica T camera body? I'm so confused by the T and TL lenses, I feel like they're the same thing but I can't find any definitive proof.
Nice content, I do have a consultation. I do have a Leica T, was a gift, but i only have m42 mount lenses an some EF... My question is, if i add an adapter from M42 to L mount, i wonder if im not going to ve available to control de other settings in the cameras, like the Shutter speed or ISO, due all the connectivity of the camera is attached. ive noted in your video you had a f0.0 stop, which i assumed you used the Minolta lens. is it possible to attach my vintage Carl Zeiss, Jupier, Mir and more to this camera by having the m42-L converter? thank you so much.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter i just tried to shoot without the lens, and i wasn't able to shoot. It's like the camera needs to have attached a lens with electronical pins. By other hand I've noticed my firmware version is 1.1 and I'm not able to updated. The moment i have to turn the camera on while I'm pressing or holding the Rec button supoused to be the right way, but I don't get access to the firmware menu. I sent you a msg to your IG account. @@gearreallydoesntmatter so sorry, but this T version doesn't have that option. And if does, it may come with the new updates (which I can't download it)

Initially I just bought the Leica T for the look. The black T with 23/2 looks just right. Minimalism at its best for a modern camera. What surprises me was the photo I got with it. Better than my K-3, fuji X-T2 and still there's people on facebook doubting me. I don't know what makes it so great but I just love the photo. Even the video I got from the T looks good. After the rumor of the new T body, I got the 11-23 and TL35. Didn't like the 11-23 that much but love the 35. And I just bought the TL2 a week ago. Hopefully I'll start my own RUclips channel reviewing it and your video is just making me feel so relaxed. There's someone else like me, like the T system. Great video!
Love the review as always, but there is one HUGE problem with this camera. Lack of viewfinder. Whether that be an EVF or rangefinder. If it had one, I would actually consider picking up a used one. And yes I know I can buy one for the hot shoe but then it just ruins the looks. And no matter what anyone says thats one of the reasons to buy a leica. Other than that though, it is great to see leica making cameras that are actually almost attainable by the average enthousiast. Would love to see your thoughts on the Leica Monochrome if you can ever get your hands on one. I had the opportunity to borrow one for a weekend and really fell in love with it!
I shoot with a used Leica m240 and barely use the viewfinder. I set the appx distance and shoot wth the camera around my neck in the middle of my chest. I get great street art as no one has to "pose" plus it has given me a change not to rely on autofocus and improve my skills.

This channel is so great. Every video is so relaxing, entertaining, and informative. But watching your videos seriously fuels my GAS haha. I would seriously love to try this camera out but lack of an evf is a killer for me.
I read you, man, the other day I went on and purchased a SIGMA dp1s after watching one of Mattias videos, I feel so guilty.
Mike Anastasio Yeah you don't need to try every camera. Its just my obsession :)
There is an external viewfinder for the T. Unfortunately I haven't tried it so I can't say if its worth it.
Another spot on video! Now I'm gonna dream about this camera... grr :D
This is the best camera channel. He reviews underrated cameras. Thank you
Ed Pal That and cheap forgotten is my latest hobby :)
I just bought this camera a few day (second hand). I have plan to buy the voigtlander lens for use with it ( with M lens adapter).
Great video. I can ALSO think of five reasons to buy this camera.
1) it's a Leica
2) it's a Leica
3) it's a Leica
4) it's a Leica
5) it's a Leica
Everything else is a bonus!
Thanks buddy I really appreciate your time and consideration I have decided to get one just because I think it's a unique little camera and I will have FUN with it and ultimately I'm not a pro I just want to have FUN best wishes Denis
Love your vids Mattias! Your outlook is very positive and practical! Thx for making them.
I really love your quality video presentations. It's tantamount to the product you talk about.
Loving the combination of original Leica T body and Summicron 23mm f/2: relatively affordable, great compact sharp prime, superb image quality - complements my Sony 7rii and 7s. Recommend buying the (overpriced) viewfinder.
Another great vid, Mattias, many thanks. So far no Leica hate regarding your opinion, but it's only been an hour after you posted this.
Xavier Fajardo ha ha :)
I love your own mind on cameras. I've started using an old Nikon D80. I love the results from the CCD sensor and I feel you look outside the box to. Best wishes for your channel. Mike
CCD is magic, love it :)
I have always loved this simple form factor. More so than the M series. Brilliant, in fact!
The Leica T delivers beautiful images with a little patience.
wish you all the best,
Peter
hello, i heard and saw one video, if you use adapters and use manual focus on this camera it will have 5 second auto photo preview after every photo captured...and it cant be turned off!
so basically you have 5 second freeze after every capture.. is this true? or not anymore?
your reply and input will be much appreciated..! as im very interested to buy this camera for manual lenses :')
thank you
@@chunghyo.s2648 Hi, I would say 3 seconds for auto review and you can't turn it off. It is also true when you use the TL lenses.
The T 701 and TL are not fast cameras and have no focus peaking but magnification X3 and X6.
Not a drama for portraiture, Landscape and still ok for street (if you use the hyperfocal @f8). What I can tell is that the results are very good (if you shoot Raw) with the T 701 because of the 16m pixels Sony sensor but you have to take your time ;-)
If you want a Leica with the latest tech then the Leica CL is the best bet.
i can find some cheap m mount lenses in my local store :) thats why. (7artisans/voigtlander lenses)
but im concerned if it has that 3 second auto review.. :(
but man Leica T is so good looking :))
anyways thank you for your time Mr Peter!
@@chunghyo.s2648 Your welcome. For me the auto review is not a big deal, this camera is not fast anyway.
But you can still shoot during the autoriew, with no access at what you shoot
@@phathorn that's true :) if I want a fast camera there's plenty in the market.. silly me 😅
Thanks for the info🙏
Thanks for the review! Trying to decide between this Leica or a used Fuji X100T
Honestly your channel is exactly how a photography channel should be.
Just bought / ordered a Leica T with the 23 mm lens so very excited to receive it soon.... Thanks Mattias
Hi, how much did you pay for the combo, thanks, have a great day
Enjoyed your review. I own a Leica X (Typ 113) and enjoy it. The Leica 23mm Summilux on the Leica X is quite something. It beats my Fuji X100 and also X-T10 + 23mm F1.4 lens by a wide margin. I am wondering if you have tried the Leica X and, if so, you opinion of it in comparison to the Leica T + 23mm Summicron.
cnagappa I havent tried it but I can imagine. There will however be another X reviewed on this channel in the future.
cnagappa buy the Leica Q
Love your video's Mattias. I wish I could afford some Leica glass, but if wishes were fishes, we'd all cast nets.
On a side note, comparing the 100F on price doesn't seem very fair. OVF/EVF, leaf shutter, built in ND filter.. all nice features that cost money to add. It's a shame Fujifilm hasn't updated the X-70, which would be a spot on comparison, that the Leica T would provably win.
This vdo just reminded me of how much i love my T and why I haven't sold it after all these years. 👍🏻
I love this channel. The best out there.
Brilliant input and appraisal Mattias. Cheers from British

I swear, you could film a turd and make it look beautiful, Mattias. Your videos are always so visually appealing. :)

your videos are amazing ! really well done. i love the vibe !
I'm pairing it with a Sigma 24mm f/2 DG DN L mount
Last week i bought this camera, after watching this video for a few times i convinced myself to brought this camera home. Got it around 400usd with holster and T-M mount adapter included. Glad that i could achieve this camera than a6000 for similar prices. Thank you Mattias! :D

I have owned nearly every brand of camera, but never a Leica. The “Leica colors” and “Leica look” arw things I would love to experience, though. For me, though, the Leica T just doesn't seem like a real Leica. I have no doubt that it's a great camera, I just worry it wouldn't have the same output as other Leicas.
Its a different experience. But do what I did, start with a used Leica M8.
Got this camera for $650, super amazing. Nice image and build quality. Easy to use. Works well M lenses. Got a Sigma 30mm f1.4, cheap and great combo.

@@chunghyo.s2648 Hi, when I got mine recently it already has the latest firmware update and never experience this issue. I can't talk about the previous firmware since I never experienced it. I am using generic $35 adapter, and works well in my opinion.
@@hanselalvarez2690 wow I see. It's safe to assume leica has fixed the issue with the latest update then😁 thank you for the fast response 🙏😁 cheers
I used an adapter and that nerver happened, so I don’t think Leica fixed it, my guess is that there wasn’t any issue.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter wow reallyy??? 😳 Then probably that youtuber got a faulty one. Damn. I was worrying for nothing..
Anyways thank you so much for replying Mattias! Its clearer now after hearing 2 different individuals input 😁
btw I always enjoy your reviews! (Bought and tried fuji x70, leica x2, gr ii, Nikon df, Olympus pen f because of you!) 😁😁😁
All Leicas shoot incrediable images, this one is no exception, I use vintage MF lenses and bought the T used for manily how well it would pair with my lenses but was surprised at the aewsome images this body produced, 16MP means that ISO performance is really good in low light, I had to get the visoflex 020 cause I hate shooting this as a point and shoot, Now its so nice to use, downside - poor battery life
Mattias would you consider reviewing the GE G100? it's a rather cheap point and shoot but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Hi Mattias. I see the price of the Leica T is extremely reasonable. Are there any affordable auto lenses (I have a good selection of vintage Helios and Minolta) that you could recommend? The 23mm is quite pricey and there aren't too many body + lens deals at the moment. Thanks, Paul.
Amazing video yet again. really tempted to grab the T sometime as my walking camera. love the sensor and the style.
Sugarless Thanks man :)
I have 4 Leica Ms and you got me wanting this camera. Brilliant.
TL 2 with 18 to 56 is now $200 at B and H. IS IT WORTH IT . I always wanted a Leica .......please let me know.
OMG, I did it! The T is in the house, but no AF lens. :( I shoot it with an adapter for my Contax / Yashica lenses and I miss peaking really hard.
Hey may I ask where can you get the deal?
Great video Mattias, as always!
But I couldn't find the camera as a kit with the 23 prime. Will it be available soon?
Thanks for the review!
Matias Contursi They pop up every now and then on eBay. I might sell you mine to keep this channel going ;)
It would be great, but we will have to see how to get it to Argentina, we are really far away! Come to visit us on vacation, there are excellent places to take photos here! : )
Matias Contursi Shipping doesn't cost much these days.
Ever since I saw your last Leica T video I wanted to find one. But not sure if I should get a used Leica T, TL or TL2.
Just bought the T along with the Minolta lens, thank you for the review...but now I’m having trouble with a black screen. Seems like the camera isn’t reading the lens. Any suggestions? Does the camera need an update? Or it is there a setting I’m missing?
Hi, Mattias.
Which vintage lenses do you recommend for portraits on Leica TL2?
Thank you,
Hey! I just grabbed one for under $600, but no money for those expensive leica lens at the moment. How is it shooting with your vintage lens? I know we need an adapter and it's all manual focus and aperture control. Can you expand on your experience or share any tips on using vintage lens? THANKS!!!
L Mount Alliance opens up new native lenses: www.dpreview.com/forums/post/62430946 (Sigma 16/30/56 F1.4 release JAN2020; they're already out in m4/3 + E, and well reviewed, but here they're first-party not third-party.)
For adapting, the Voigtlaender M 35mm F/2.5 is cheap, small and sharp.
Also MC-21 is an autofocus EF-L adaptor :)
Second time I see your videos! Now I’m yours ! Great video dude!
Now I have to check out your Ricoh GXR video!
You didn't say... I'll search, but I assume the Leica T is an APS-c sensor.
(still haven't seen the name of your cute doggie)
Great video !
can u do a video on ur olympus mft camera ?
Couldnt agree with you more about this cam, but the real reason for me is the leica color science - there's just nothing quite like it. The photos just look right - to me, anyways. Even with the zoom lens (which, by the way, is great)
evan uri parsons Agreed.
Another great video. Very informative 😀
What adapter do you use for your Rokkor lenses and the Leica?
Brilliant video as always, I was just wondering what application you use for zone focusing, I saw you using the app in one of your videos awhile ago.
Hyper focal pro.
Got a used leica t from Stockholms Leica center :-)
Thanks for the review!
Colours are so much better than Sony :-)
I went to Aquaria today and the color are great straight out of camera. Not like Sony which had crazy white balance last I was there.
Mattias, lovely video of course. It's strange how my photographic journey seems to be magnetically pulling me towards Leica.
Robert Holloway They retain their value very well. If bought used some of them go up. So you can give it a go without losing to much money.
H-X015 -K" lens works well on Leica T
And what adapter I need. Which ones do you recommend?
Thanks
It does not work.
Thank you.
Can't find this anywhere with the 23mm Summicron included in the US?
They are probably gone because of this video. But they will comeback. And a tip, start shopping world wide on ebay. Shipping is cheap and using PayPal you can feel safe.
I want one, I have the Sony A7 at the moment. They're around the same price 2nd hand but the A7 just has a lot more. The focus peaking and electric viewfinder paired with the image quality top it off for me, though I do plan on getting the Sony AR7.
J A M E S I also have an A7. Its alright but the T is special.
I agree that it looks a lot better, and is probably better quality but the price of lenses and all round functionality of the A7 seems better to me.
Still, it's Sony, and that's Leica. Can't compare that
christian Icon - You can.. The Leica is better quality, the Sony has way better functionality. The Leica doesn't even have a viewfinder...
J a M e S if you want Leica with viewfinder, buy the SL. It is really awesome btw
Hi Mattias. Did you use an adapter for the Minolta lens?
Love your review. Makes perfect sense regarding the Leica T.
Hello! Will the 23mm TL fit the Leica T camera body? I'm so confused by the T and TL lenses, I feel like they're the same thing but I can't find any definitive proof.
They are the same.
You can adapt any lens you want. All the settings still works. It’s the same with all cameras.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter i just tried to shoot without the lens, and i wasn't able to shoot. It's like the camera needs to have attached a lens with electronical pins. The moment i have to turn the camera on while I'm pressing or holding the Rec button supoused to be the right way, but I don't get access to the firmware menu. I sent you a msg to your IG account. Like most cameras there probably is a “shoot without lens” option in the menu.
@@gearreallydoesntmatter so sorry, but this T version doesn't have that option. And if does, it may come with the new updates (which I can't download it)
When I updated my Leica T I just downloaded and followed the instructions. If that doesn’t work I don’t know: en.leica-camera.com/Corposite/Service-Support/Support/Downloads?category=112770&subcategory=&type=108942&language=93871
Man... that’s an impressive build
I would love to have he 35mm. Looking forward to seeing your review. Once in the system the TL2 becomes very tempting and not to expensive either.
I think the photos look great because the t has really excellent color accuracy
Angus O'Leary I have owned a Leica M Monochrome. Its nice. But since I shoot and develop my own film I rather use film for that.
Will a L-mount lens fit/work on it?
Interesting video. The menu interface is pretty cool.
