Rich Jr. V Standard is my B now. I love how it's neck-thru and the neck is painted, lol. I mean, you find that sort of shit on high-end gear like the Pro Series and the B.C. Rich NJ Series. Anyway, oh yeah, all the comments saying he can't play the guitar for shit, metal doesn't have to be sweep picking 600 notes a second all the time, you fucking assclowns, lol.
Damn you got some praise from Kevin Frasard, he's well known around these parts of youtube. So many people that review these types of guitars don't play these types of riffs so I thoroughly enjoyed the review. VERY nice guitar, enjoy it
i agree, for the price and kind of specifications you get, you can't beat it. those same specs on another brand would cost $1000. i'm getting one as well. actually i am thinking about getting the kvmg (pro series), but the kvxmg (x series) basically has the same specs. the only major differences are the ebony instead of rosewood fingerboard on the pro, and the pro doesn't have the painted neck like the x series. the painted neck can slow you down, but there are ways around that. i do prefer the direct mount EMGs and the alumiloid inlays on the pro, but it's not that big of a deal. i will probably get the x series. i am for sure getting one of the two.
@@rodrigog5654 you can get this stuff called fast fret, its basically a lubricant for the fingerboard, I'm sure they make tons of similar products as well. Some people will sand down the painted neck and put a natural wood finish on the back of the neck as well. I did get the X Series KVXMG and to be honest the painted neck isn't too much of an issue, maybe over time it might become an issue, if it does I'll most likely sand it down with very fine sandpaper and go over the wood with something like linseed oil. One thing I did have an issue with was the Floyd Rose Special Tremolo didn't hold tuning very well, so I replaced it with a Floyd Rose Original Tremolo and that solved my problems. That could have just been a fluke unique to my particular guitar tho. It's a great sounding, great playing guitar. Have had it over 6 years now. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested, especially for playing metal.
+Lyndon McArthur honestly man, I'd go with the pro, since it has an alder wood body instead of basswood, you can't go wrong with either, this one I have is a great guitar, but the pro is alder, and most of the USA made Jacksons are alder for the body.

Does the whammy bar work good? It’s a Floyd rose special right? Just want to make sure, can it be both pushed down and dragged up? So you can do for an example both dive bombs and dimebag squeels?

Nice review! I got some questions, does the floyd rose work well ? And does the neck have a good balance ? I mean, does it fall down on the side when standing ?
Bought this guitar and had the absolute WORST tuning issues due to the Floyd Rose... The guitar was incredible apart from that but unfortunately I had to return it. Do Floyd Rose Tremolo Stabilizers really work to keep the guitar in tune?
highJodybeats69 if you’re tuning low, your Floyd is probably sitting at an angle, you have to go in behind the plate on the back of the guitar, and adjust the tension on the screws the springs are on, be careful doing this, the screws can be tight, and you don’t want scratch your guitar with a screw driver, it can be a bitch to do, but that’s how you do it. Depends on how low you want to tune it, but if you tune really low, that’s how you set it, and make the Floyd level again. If you’re unsure about doing it, take it to a guitar shop, and ask them to set it up for you at that desired tuning, shouldn’t cost you more than $20, which should include new strings. Hope I explained it good enough.

Duncan Dedecker they’re all made in some Asian country, except the Made in USA ones. This one I have was made in Indonesia, but it’s a really good one. Send me the link to the one you are looking at, and I’ll try to identify it for you.
dude stay away from these, this dude means well & is probably telling the truth about the one "hes got" his is an early model when they 1st started makin these, after a few years the QC sucks, save ur money & get yourself an LTD or save a little more for a used USA model, truth me you'll be wayy better off.
squirrel master the one I have is great, and it probably is an earlier model, as I bought mine used, but as with anything you buy, go see it first, touch it, test it out, beware of buying online and not seeing it first. Like you said in your other comment, if you can afford it, buy a USA version, those are the good ones. However, this one I have is excellent, and it does compare in quality to the USA made RR1 I had for years, not quite that quality, but pretty close, it may be an earlier model, when Jackson opened up a factory in Indonesia, they sent American factory employees over to set it up, and train them to build them, so maybe these early models came from that time with better quality builds. The one I have is badass.
i completely agree with you bud! that's probably exactly what happened because i played an RRxmg model at samash a while ago & like yours "the sticker made in indonesia" was on it, which told me it was definitely an early model, (the crap new ones have it painted underneath the paint finish) but yea it played absolutely amazing, so yea they probably did have american builders helping them out with it, once they went on their own the quality turned to crap, lucky for me i got a usa Ke2 now, & man..what a beast, light years away from the indocraps i sold, it's so sad fender is selling jackson down the river with these mass produced pieces of trash all because they want dirt cheap labor from indonesia all guitar companies now have them make new guitars which is a shame Japan did a hell of a lot better.
I believe I said "special", I'm comparing this to a USA model, and I do believe I said the EMG's are active, and most people know the 81's and 85's are active, maybe I'm not understanding the comment.
Sorry, I was writing this comment from my shitty nokia which it hasn't the option to answer comments on youtube, I was answering to the guy who asked about the difference between the 32 series and the X series. Sorry for the missunderstanding
For this video, I used a tiny Ibanez amp ACA15 practice amp, and on the Line 6 Uber Metal pedal my settings are Level set at 6 mid way, Scoop set at 8 Drive set at 9 Bass at 8 Mid at 5 Treble at 9, switch set at Pulverize and the built in noise gate set at 2. It's very distorted, yet clear, it's great for practice, maybe even recording. It does have a very heavy sound. Hope that helps.

Hello from RID THEM ALL
Subbed back brothers!
Does the neck dive at all when you stand with it?
Isaac White no, not neck heavy at all, very well balanced.
dude stay away from these, this dude means well & is probably telling the truth about the one "hes got" his is an early model when they 1st started makin these, after a few years the QC sucks, save ur money & get yourself an LTD or save a little more for a used USA model, truth me you'll be wayy better off.
squirrel master the one I have is great, and it probably is an earlier model, as I bought mine used, but as with anything you buy, go see it first, touch it, test it out, beware of buying online and not seeing it first.
I just bought a kvx, looks nicer than this but doesn’t sound as great
Does it have active pickups?
Mat Cav yes, an EMG 81 and EMG 85
Thanks man
do you get a lot of fret buzz or bad intonation or unwanted pickup noise??
Joshopty nope, it's very quiet when muted. Of course a good amp also helps with that as well.
SurvivorMetalMan sweeet what about pinch harmonics
The KVXMG have a Floyd Rose Special (not a licensed), EMG active pickups and neck thru vs the bolt on neck in the 32 series
No problem brother, after I post my comment, I figured that's who you were responding too, Horns Up!
Great review by the way, I wish I have the money to get one of these... Soon it'll be mine! :)
Thanks, and they are worth the money, not too expensive, and a great guitar, you'll enjoy it.
The guitar had me until I seen that slide toggle. I am not a fan of slide toggle
The Red Bearded Heathen E. Jöhnsön it’s really the only down side to this guitar, but the slide does work good.
SurvivorMetalMan looks beautiful and the sound/tone is awesome. Reminds me of my Charvel Avenger I had stolen from back in the early 90’s
Jeff from Slayer vibes. 🪖🪖🪖
Made in India?
Indonesia
@@SurvivorMetalMan ok. Bro.
Dude just got this for 300 dollars on reverb
Killer deal!
Martin Barbara Miller Cynthia Johnson James
it's a copy
give me that guitar and i can play it better😏
What amp do you use?
What amp setting do you use for the line 6 metal
For this video, I used a tiny Ibanez amp ACA15 practice amp, and on the Line 6 Uber Metal pedal my settings are Level set at 6 mid way, Scoop set at 8 Drive set at 9 Bass at 8 Mid at 5 Treble at 9, switch set at Pulverize and the built in noise gate set at 2.
It's very distorted, yet clear, it's great for practice, maybe even recording. It does have a very heavy sound. Hope that helps.
