Track traction modifies traction control and minimizes stability control examples: Sport traction-long burnouts as long as you’re going in a straight line. If you go sideways, stability control kicks in and cuts power. Track traction-minimizes wheel spin for a dig, and allows you to power out of the turns more effectively because stability control is reduced.
I could be wrong but I think track mode is for a circuit track. The steering get real stiff n right it feels like. Plus my best run at the track all stock is 12.68 is sport mode . If u hit the gas just right u will launch off line just got to wait for a split second then mash back down. Indigo blue 2020 scat 💪. Yo shitin on all kinds of car round my way
I think the traction situation changes the overall dynamic. In mine track mode is superior with no question but I don’t have traction issues (even in the rain this thing will rip off from a dead stop in track mode). With RWD I could see the less aggressive sport setting getting better traction and out performing the more aggressive track mode. On a prepped surface with sticky tires? I think track mode will end up superior every time.
I noticed on my scat with 295 on sport mode...the throttle response is better to me than in track...but track...it pulls harder in mid to top end...so sport gets me off quicker with a nice burnout but track...In about 3rd gear is a monster!!!
Track mode in my 392 is better than sport. Track mode puts your transmission in power band ready to go. Sports mode hesitate a bit off the line till it hits 2000 rpm
Sport is superior. Your tires were warm after the first launch, it only takes a couple spins of tires like that to get them warm. Track is better in turns tho
Sport mode traction back on 2000 2250 or 2500 click right paddle shifter to hold into second gear then punch it then hold on this will minimize wheel even more cause we all know our cars 1st gear spins ,this works for me on dig races , again this works for me may not work for everyone else .
@@Knockout360 I did a good burn out and track hooked perfect. But idk why the sport mode was so much faster from the dig it felt smoother and shifted better
And the mustang owner said I activated the tune the second time and swore my car wasn’t stock 😂 cause he beat me the first time in track. A lot of ppl swore it wasn’t stock. They just don’t realize the 2020 scats are was faster then the older scats plus the 305s hook way better
Being on a track mode 24/7 will not hurt your engine. Unless you are plainly abusing your car to the very extreme. A lot of people and I mean like A LOT of people using track mode just so they can fully disable MDS while driving normally like on a street mode. In fact, if you are using Track mode for regular/normal driving, you are PROLONGING your engines life since it is firing on all 8 cylinders all the time while lubricating all the lifters (especially 4 M.D.S. once) when car gets to 2000RPM and higher.
I’m glad I found your comment. I drive in track mode 24/7 for commuting simply because of the exhaust sound difference with the back fire. Sport & street just don’t sound the same.
@@bighawaii Good for you man, you are doing your engine a HUGE favor, just please don't forget to change your engine oil regularly, I change mine every 2K - 2.5K because I drive hard.

I have a question for you. I have a 2022 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, and I got it brand new. I've had it for a few months now. But this whole time, I never thought nothing of it. But when I'm in track mode. My car will make this weird sound out the back of the exhaust once it goes to shift gear. It literally makes a sound like fire coming out the back, lol. I've never thought anything of it because I've never driven anyone else's Scat Pack to see if that's normal or not. But tbh I don't think it's normal. Because in this video, your car isn't making that sound in track mode. Would you happen to know anything about this?? Grrrrrrrrrr, I wish I could figure out what's going on. It doesn't do it in Street mode when I take off real fast, and it doesn't do it in Sport mode when I take off real fast. Only in Track mode.
@chicanachick2648 I eventually figured out that it's normal. My friend got a 2022 Dodge Charger Scat, and his sounds exactly the same as mine. But I was tripping out for the longest time when I first got my car, lol. These cars are amazing! I feel like a beast on the hwy. I'm glad no one has Hellcats where I live at. Don't think I'm ready to be disappointed for not being able to keep up, haha.

If I am a beginner which one would you recommend?
Eco
You can do Custom and set the transmission on Track and everything else on Sport Mode
