@CLOSED I know its been a year but, the way I interpreted it is, Gael found the Pygmy Kings but, their blood has dried up. It was not possible to make pigments out of them. So he now needs to take in the Dark Soul unto himself, to enable once again the possibility of making a pigment. But he knows he will go Mad in the process, and so he Guided the Unkindled to the same place, the ringed city. To folk that havnt played any of the series this is just another nice looking video, but to those of us who took the journey, whether we started at the beginning with Demon Souls, or jumped on board at the very end with Dark Souls 3, this video means so much more. Its the collective experiences of perhaps hundreds of thousands of souls... of humanities, just like yours. And what a journey it has been. ♥
This is the epitome of everything that makes Dark Souls what it is...A masterpiece. This is the first video I have watched on RUclips that made me feel this emotional. It was like I was playing through the game all over again, remembering everything I felt along the way. I want to thank you for spending your time on this. I understand the importance of such things; after all, unlike those that possess the ancient soul, we are not eternal. Thank you.
Over a year ago, I fell in love with this video. While I believe your editing prowess has improved, this will remain in my eyes your finest work. Its isolation, sadness and melancholy make it truly special. The way the droning and creepy music perfectly mirror the image of a decayed world that struggled to its final breath and now only desires release... the chills I get during Ariandel's scream... the rhythmic, deliberate, slow, careful movements around everything needed to tell a story to people who have both played and not played the game... the desire to see literally just one thing go well for anyone in this mortifying universe... you captured all of this perfectly and I will keep watching this goddamn masterpiece at every chance I get.

You captured all the most amazingly beautiful and somber details of this world so well. The visuals, voices, editing, and music were all so in sync and amplify the severity and depravity of an Ashen One’s duty.
I have never played Darksouls. A friend of mine told me about parts of the lore, he is big fan. Yesterday he showed me this video. Since then, I have watched it at least four times. It's incredibly inspiring and fascinating, and the music and pictures set the tone so beautifully dark. Thank you!!
Some of the biggest dark souls content creators praise ur work and with good enough reason. Anyone can see this vídeo and get instantly entangled in the thick and beutifull fabric that is dark souls Lore. If i could judge ur talent by this vídeo alone id call u a genius. Congratulations. Whatever amount of attention that u might be getting is deserved and probably not enough.
It's videos like this that make us fall in love with the souls series all over again. By re-telling your first playthrough you gave us the chance to experience our own once again. So thank you for giving us the chance to re-live those sweet memories, and I cannot wait for your next masterpiece. (Food for thought: maybe try adding just the tiniest bit of combat. Just one good shot of the player character swinging would help evoke that sense of reliving dark souls for the first time)

It would rule if you did a similar one for Elden Ring too obv (pretty pls) but this one will always have a special place in my heart. Can't believe it's already been 4 whole years!
Glad to see these still have some returning viewers, haha. Despite it's technical flaws I still enjoy this quite a bit myself, plus this video in essence kickstarted the whole channel. I don't plan on doing anything with Elden Ring. It was a great game to play through but its story and characters failed to grab me in any meaningful way.
@@TheParryGod totally understandable! You've left a terrific outstanding legacy with these videos and I'll always enjoy watching through them! It was a hell of a start to your channel and it's been amazing seeing how much you've grown from here! Thank you for doing what you do!
No other word than AMAZING comes to mind. This is so unbelievably good and is almost a 1:1 capture of the Dark Souls essence and feel. Bravo! You are a true talent! Thank you for this!
This helped me appreciate even further what an enormous amount of care, love, and attention to detail was put into this game. Dark Souls 3 is what you get when a LOT of talented people put a LOT of time into something they care about.
Mesmerizing. I can only imagine the effort that went into this. You've truly done the game justice. Makes me want to relpay again to just experiance the sensation you've captured.
You did an amazing job and definitly deserve way more views than what you currently have right now. Your video shown us the huge dimension of Dark Souls. You know that feeling "nothingness" and "meaningless" when you watch those size comparison videos of the Universe? That's exactly how I felt when watching this, Dark Souls is so rich in detail, a huge and hopeless universe of darkness and despair.
I really can't express how I felt watching this, It moved lots of feelings, I can tell to took forever to make and I'm glad watched every second of it. This gave the game a new meaning and I love it even more now.
I think this captured the nature of the game perfectly. I think after playing these games for so long I’ve become numb to it, but this video made me realize again just how dark, sad, and terrifying the world of dark souls is, and those who inhabit it
The Souls games are known mostly for their difficulty, but they're also some of the most visually stunning games I've ever played. I think after multiple playthroughs its easy to take this for granted, but seeing it from a different perspective really reminded me just how beautiful this series is.
This was simply amazing. A real journey to take in my eyes. The music and visuals fit so well together, showing the whole adventure so simply yet so wonderfully. I couldn't stopped watching until the end, it is just that captivating! It's clear you put a lot into this and the outcome truly is worth it! I lift my hat to you! Absolutely magnificent!
This is an excellently edited video. All of your timing cuts are perfection, and your tweaking on the lighting was really satisfying. I will say that when you're making a video that's longer than 5 minutes, it's best to try to change up the music somewhat to keep everything fresh and new. For example, when Father Ariandel let out his scream, I anticipated a shift in tone, but the same music came back. I apologize if me saying that comes off as rude, I dont mean it to be. This video was VERY well done. You have a great eye for cinematics. I just mean music can be just as important as footage. Keep up the great work. You're gonna be big in no time.
also parry god, if youre reading this, i really think you should make more of these. make one of dark souls remastered, bloodborne or even souls 2, but only do it if you, yourself, enjoy it. i really look forward to seeing more of your beautiful artwork.
I think this captures exactly what I've always loved about the Dark Souls series. There is just a true depth to the world that exceeds everything that tries to copy it, making every action you take seem real and impactful, with the people and creatures you meet having an aura of actual power instead of just a health bar on a screen. Amazing job.
These games are so deep, it makes you wonder what kind of a mind Myazaki has. I pride myself in being a creative person, but to mastermind such a gorgeous piece that drives so many people to explore it to it's fullest extent, study it, live it. It must be amazing. I think that these three games are a milestone of my love for this kind of storytelling. And I think that if someone could sit down with him and tell him that it makes fiscal and emotional sense to make us just ONE more, so that we can enjoy it all over again and explore one more time, maybe he would do it.
This is a masterpiece sir. I love every second of it, I just can't have enough of this beautiful art. Thank you, thank you truly. You want some free levels don't you? Here, take those dar- I mean power signs. Jokes aside, this piece of art is my favorite from now on.

Probably the best thing about DSIII that is possible to find on the Internet. Amazing job man! I hope you'll make more of this.
oh boi, I'm trembling, this is so good, if you tried to represent this franchise and all that forms it you fucking did it. As part of this community I cannot say anything but that I feel that every single second of my time playing this game is being honored right here. Thank you so much.
Thank you! I'm delighted that you think this highly of my project :)
I honestly don't comment enough on the content I enjoy. But I COULD NOT go on without letting you know how amazing this is. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to give us such a beautiful spectacle of the content of the game.
This should have been the right way to introduce the game! So many player finished it without even being even curious about it ! And in the end they are missing so much stufff ! Good job man ! Jeep it up ! It was Amazing !!
I wish I could see how many times ive watched this video, always listen to it when I want to remanence on my past or remember someone. You do great work in helping me recall my years of playing ds3 and the things it helped me escape from.
Thank you, and a fine Dark Soul to you.
You captured all the most amazingly beautiful and somber details of this world so well. The visuals, voices, editing, and music were all so in sync and amplify the severity and depravity of an Ashen One’s duty.
Dude this is just...wow. Such incredible work. Really glad Vaati pointed me this way.
This is a masterpiece!
I have never played Darksouls. A friend of mine told me about parts of the lore, he is big fan. Yesterday he showed me this video. Since then, I have watched it at least four times. It's incredibly inspiring and fascinating, and the music and pictures set the tone so beautifully dark. Thank you!!
Holy Sh*t, to say this was masterfully done, would be a huge understatement!
It only took 4years to reach me... Man DS3 really is an amazing game in all it's aspects
9:39
That shot is just so, powerful and nostalgic.
Best 19 minutes of my life, you are an artist my friend!
Thank you! :)
"You'll face death, enough death to leave you broken"
It's videos like this that make us fall in love with the souls series all over again. By re-telling your first playthrough you gave us the chance to experience our own once again. So thank you for giving us the chance to re-live those sweet memories, and I cannot wait for your next masterpiece. (Food for thought: maybe try adding just the tiniest bit of combat. Just one good shot of the player character swinging would help evoke that sense of reliving dark souls for the first time)
I waited with baited breath on every note. Fantstic through and through.
I came here on Vaatis recommendation he hardly ever says "go take a look at this " so when he does its almsot always worth it. I am not disappointed at all :D you did a great job here I hope you and Vaati have a long and great partnership:D
An incredible work of art! Thank you for putting this together so beautifully.
I saw this video a few years ago. It has remained my favorite thing on RUclips since that day. I keep coming back to it every so often, and I just couldn't possibly praise it highly enough. It truly is a masterpiece, and you should be very proud.
I'll forever remember my waifu saying
"Ashen one, Hearst thou my voice still?"
So soothing.
This has to be one of the best videos I've seen on dark souls for a long time. The slow shots were perfect and really got me into the atmosphere of Dark souls 3 all over again. Keep up the amazing work man!!
This video captures what Dark Souls is about, a dark brute unforgiving world where only the Strong can survive, what a Journey that was.
THIS is why I love the Dark Souls fandom so much, there are so many amazing people out there who pour all their love into projects like this and it's just freakin awesome!
This video is absolutely amazing I can not believe the work you put into this. As an avid dark souls fan I havent played much of any of the installments in a long time and this video really gave me the drive deep in my bones to play through them again. Thank you!
Back for my regular bimonthly viewing and it's still just as great as it is every single time I watch it. I love this video so much!
Ariandels scream was so fucking badass and perfectly timed, as well as Gaels dialogue at the end. You have a talent, my friend
That's exactly how I felt when watching this, Dark Souls is so rich in detail, a huge and hopeless universe of darkness and despair.
this is one of the gems that we are constantly search and yearn for, i have watched this delightful masterpiece every day since i have come across it.
The King's Field songs were a special touch. This is nothing but care and love for such an amazing franchise.
Vaati's Remastered Prepare to Cry series brought me here, and I'm so glad it did. Insta-subscribed!
Incredible work man. This captured just how breathtakingly beautiful yet depressingly tragic DS3 really is and I cannot get enough of it
I really can't express how I felt watching this,
It moved lots of feelings, I can tell to took forever to make and I'm glad watched every second of it.
This gave the game a new meaning and I love it even more now.
I think this captured the nature of the game perfectly. I think after playing these games for so long I’ve become numb to it, but this video made me realize again just how dark, sad, and terrifying the world of dark souls is, and those who inhabit it
Maybe not the nature of the gameplay but the story
9:54 I loved using the Pine Bundle items to buff my weapons while charging into a fight, or after rolling or backstepping, just for style points.
It doesn't matter how many times you use it. It will always look badass.
Intimidation tactics.
Thank you soo very much! I'm glad you've enjoyed it :)
Man, Dark souls atmosphere is the best...
This video singlehandedly shoves a stick up the asses of people saying DS3 has no story/lore/atmosphere. Thank you for that!
also parry god, if youre reading this, i really think you should make more of these. make one of dark souls remastered, bloodborne or even souls 2, but only do it if you, yourself, enjoy it.
i really look forward to seeing more of your beautiful artwork.
Watching it after 3 years
and ohh my , you're a genius
Great work. Looks and sounds amazing. If this was used as a marketing demo, DS would have made even more money.
You should be proud.
Such an awesome energy coming from your film... I feel possessed by it, the music, the lines
Great job mate !
Here from Vaati still wiping my tears a bit, never wanted to get back into DS3 so bad, great visuals. A+
Keep the great job dude, loved it!! Congratz from Brazil o/
This is some fine piece of art, legit nice job! Keep on bringing these gems, we thank you.
I think this captures exactly what I've always loved about the Dark Souls series. There is just a true depth to the world that exceeds everything that tries to copy it, making every action you take seem real and impactful, with the people and creatures you meet having an aura of actual power instead of just a health bar on a screen. Amazing job.
Hello, Vaati said I should come here, so here I am. Great work!
The Greirat part
Came here from Vaati and subscribed instantly, this is some really impressive work, damn.
late to the party but this is one of the greatest works of art I've ever seen
These games are so deep, it makes you wonder what kind of a mind Myazaki has. I pride myself in being a creative person, but to mastermind such a gorgeous piece that drives so many people to explore it to it's fullest extent, study it, live it. It must be amazing. I think that these three games are a milestone of my love for this kind of storytelling. And I think that if someone could sit down with him and tell him that it makes fiscal and emotional sense to make us just ONE more, so that we can enjoy it all over again and explore one more time, maybe he would do it.
Finding two Dark Souls cinematic masterpieces in one day? I have truly been blessed
This is a masterpiece sir. I love every second of it, I just can't have enough of this beautiful art. Thank you, thank you truly.
You want some free levels don't you? Here, take those dar- I mean power signs.
Jokes aside, this piece of art is my favorite from now on.
Amazing video...I really have no words for this one. I watched it 5 times already.
I was left with such a feeling of empty sadness. Good job!
I had hoped it would convey some feelings. Thank you!
Words cant describe the amount of passion i felt oozing from the video the entire time
