- The VLC media player is a free media player software and very popular for playing videos or streaming, sometime vlc media player got some working issues, like vlc media player, is not working, vlc media player video lagging while playing the videos or audio is coming but not playing videos, in this tutorial I will show you how to fix VLC Media Player problems.
These VLC Media Player Problems might be solved:
1- VLC Media Player is not working.
2- VLC Player video lagging.
3- Audio is coming but no video.

That "fix" did absolutely nothing. 5 minutes I'll never get back.
check your version win 32 or 64 i did and now no problem

I am unable to even stream/play a youtube video using a URL address. It just flashes a picture of the beginning of the video and then blank. Sometimes it does not do anything at all.

The video clip, I have ripped with VLC from a dvd, plays audio and video up to a certain point. The clip is a total of 11 minutes and 10 seconds and at about 8 minutes, the audio cuts off but the video can be seen and can still play. How do I fix my problem? VLC version I have is 3.0.11 64 bit. I'm using windows 10 20H2.

What do you do if the youtube video you are trying to convert/save doesn't show up on your VLC media player? When I try to do that nothing happens

@ragnor1980 It worked for me twice today but the third time tanked. I tried movies with and w/out ads. To no avail. This is from RUclips and all in one day.
I have done all of this and didn't change a thing. VLC will not play the URL placed in convert/save and place URL in network still no video jst a flashing streak on player.

P.S. When I did the first step, I found it had preset "1000" instead of the proposed "800" so I left that alone, still worked!

I cannot fix the VLC /WIN10/ despite following the steps of your video. I've used the VLC few time ago and it worked. Now no more. The file became a FBR file...it doesn't open...I'd appreciate to have some technical support. Thank you.

This didn't work on my machine, but what did work was deleting it, then download the latest version and installing that. I don't know if it made any difference, but I chose a custom installation and checked the very last box 'delete preferences and cache'.

I tried everything as recommended in teh RUclips video and even went over it twice. Black screen still there. Audio working correctly. No video.

Worked for me VLC was not working from a cold boot but strangely was OK from a re-boot on Win 10 64bit. Was thinking I was going to have to use another player but this seems to have worked fine.

Thank you. My problem was solved 1080 Pixels and Bluray videos were not playing in VLC but now its resolved.
window charges to play the same files on their media player they wont allow you to even reach the website you need to use VPN
my pc doesnt have the option for disable menu .
So my first setting of file caching (ms) was already at 1000. And the third setting of video output module was already set to automatic. So for me changing the 2nd and 4th setting did the trick. My vlc player would freeze and not want to play most video files. It was strange because the same files worked fine on other computers. I tried to uninstall/ reinstall VLC with no change. Was about to go buy a cheap optiplex just so I could have a computer with working vlc to use as my HTPC. Fortunately this video did the trick. Thanks so much...

Thanks for trying, but still doesn't work. Installed on 2 different PCs. Tried 6 different DVDs. It'll play the same 2 on both PCs, and not the other 4 on either of them.

Tried everything and nothing worked..VLC still black screen with orange symbol and still no video,only audio.😭
I found a fix for myself. Make sure that the VideoLAN file is in both Program files and program files (x86). That worked for me.
I hitted subscribe man !! My Mom said me she will make my favorite dish to eat if I play the retro cd on VLC !! Haha worked !! Thanks and all the best !!

I was having terrible lagging problems from movies like Fargo that I downloaded years ago and never had a problem.I could be wrong but after deleting it and updating W10When I downloaded from the official site I noticed it was Win32......There wasn't a choice I could see so I search Google and found Win 64 version and It now works without a hitch....checked back and I had installed win32 version before so maybe someone has made the same mistake I did
