KM player is around the time of vlc and gom player. Even back then (2009-10) it was the most beautiful media player (looks wise). The way they used to reflect the song's name in their mini player, it seems it was from a different world. So beautiful ❤️🥺

i use to love vlc
but the audio playback need some work
depending on ur file extension u can get really bad audio tearing and playback
I tried all of them Pot Player & media player classic is the best on this list👍
The only thing that is missing for 5k player is to play media from already setup dlna server instead making my pc into one, vlc still trumps 5kplyaer in that aspect.

Hello, thank you for your video. I have a MacBook and a Windows at work. I sometimes have to watch long study webinars on my Mac and want to continue from where I left off on my Windows and vice versa on my Mac. I back up my files on one drive. Using pot player batter experience then VLC _ vlc always stuck to play MKV formats...❤ Nice video sir ❤ big heart....
MPC has been my go-to player for everything for a quite a while but recently it started crashing on me when skipping to the next or the previous video, that's the only complain I have so far. You don't have to worry about the interface since you have option to choose from lot of themes and if you were to press ctrl+1 you can hide everything and just view the video which I find really handy.

The reason why people tend to love VLC more is because it is louder than other media players, actually it is due to the fact that it plays over the threshold volume therefore it can spoil your speakers in a long run

I use vlc player most of the time. I use a older version of vlc because the last few update version have sucked. The problem is I watch alot of hockey games and they are really large files and vlc seems to get a little choppy playing them I have been looking for another player to use. I also have a version of WMP classic but it's a little choppy too with large files.
can you tell me which vlc version you are using...as I too feel the frame drops while watching large videos

Pot player is without a doubt the best media player for windows. It's history is a little bit odd because I've been using it since it was called km player, then it became DAUM player, now POT Player....... Not sure why the name keeps changing but I do know it offers the most features compared to any other Media Player on Windows that I've used. It's fast, lightweight, and as every feature you could want plus a lot more you don't even understand but it's there if you need it one day. It's a Swiss army knife sort of video player that can handle anything I throw at it and provides very detailed file information about every spec I want to know and even some I don't.
By far the best video player and I've used it for years and never not been happy with it. Thrilled actually. It is that good.

I have to switch from vlc because it just randomly cut video and start again from5 sec. Back and resetting every setting everytime it's annoying and breaks the link of watching video 🙂
I downloaded KM player after watching this video and it did not work. It had some weird artifacting. I know the file works because it works insed VLC. I downloaded 5k player next and that one works great like VLC. The video downloader is also a nice touch, but I already have a way to do that. Its all I need, plays all the video formats I use, works, and it looks better than VLC
VLC has been acting wacky. It takes 10 seconds to open after I click on it, and will crash if I open another video while the other is playing. I'm going to give GOM a try first. I didn't like the ads GOM had. I am liking POT player.

Which is best player for play 4k videos?
I've been using vlc here in US forever and find the interface to need serious updating. It should be like YT, where you can navigate with a mouse. Especially clicking the screen for pause instead of going down to the pause button or right clicking to open a submenu. So annoying.
Loved VLC for ever. now its giving me problems. Gotta use something else now. Celluloid in Linux is great but no Windows version.

@@bluecoke MKV files that integrate with multiple subs, come with a default sub that will be opened by the player. Open the video with Media Players Classic (the player that comes with klite codec pack), right click inside the player, enter the subtitles tab and choose which one of the subs that included in the mkv file you want to use (if different from the default).
