Saw Bob last night, lost my phone and couldn't find my seat, a good dude gave me a ticket. 4th row ,unbelievable, watched Bob, went to lost and found. They had my phone. Had a hell of a time. People who love Bob r good people. I will never forget.

I saw him in Dublin , no phones allowed at the concert. Had funny incident at it too. There was a empty seat other side of my fella even though we were in third row. I moved into it cos there was thing blocking my view on the stage. Guy beside me went nuts and I had to move back. Audience was so well behaved..and grey haired😂😂😂 I’ve made up my mind to give myself to you… lovely song on his new album

I'm glad you all like the album. my dad, Lou Waxman, was the engineer on that album. actually, he did most of Dylan's albums and have two gold and one platinum record. I still have the gold record awarded to him for engineering thIs album hanging on my "Dylan wall"

Absolutely awesome. Been listening to this for 30 yrs now. Always my “go to” album. Bob is a master. Was blessed to be able to make his acquaintance once, briefly. He tipped his hat to me while he was getting on his tour bus after a show at URI. I was being hauled away by the police for “trespassing “. I yelled “your a legend” as I got hauled away, he looked over and tipped his hat to me. Best memory I have.

This, in my opinion, is Dylan's magnum opus album. There is nobody in the history of rock music who can tell a tale in song like Dylan ... and "Desire" abounds with story after story ... - Dylan IS rock's ultimate balladeer, second to none!

Nearly 50 years on, and this amazing album stands the test of time. From the mystical Coffee to the epic Joey, there is no filler here. Emmylou gives this album soaring wings, Scarlet gives it soul and Bob just does his thing, like no other. Shout out to that tight rhythm section also. What a masterpiece.

Emmylou Harris possesses a blessed voice. I will see her for the first time soon. Graham Parsons, Mark Knopfler, Ryan Adams, Neil Young, Elvis Costello...nice life. This was the first album of Dylan's I discovered, always a deep place in my heart for it. In junior high school, I checked it out from the local library. I never looked back, nor at the time did I really realize how the album fit into the lexicon of Dylan's efforts. It was something that stood on its own. A boy's introduction to Bob Dylan. I was awestruck. I think Bob would be pleased.

Mid autumn drive to the nature sanctuary with an extra large coffee took me through this album, really appreciated the opportunity to escape my life for an hour and enjoy some good storytelling. I really liked Isis and One More Cup of Coffee (maybe cuz I was on the road with my coffee...). Mostly I like that the stories aren't so much better than my life that it would feel sad to return to reality. My life could certainly be worse so I guess I'll pour some love into it. Cheers

Sara is a great song. Uncharacteristically straightforward "please don't leave me, don't ever go" said in a great way by Dylan. Best part is where Dylan mentions Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands song he wrote for his then wife Sara.

Desire was the wonderful fruitful outcome of two fortunate encounters. the first one the random encounter of bob and jack Levi and the second is that of bob and Scarlet. Levi's poetical contribution , discussions and suggestions had a wonderful impact on the lyrics and Scarlet's spontaneous ad lib playing had a remarkable impact on the music. I daresay that Bob had a moment of illumination when he saw the most naturally looking gypsy like young lady walking down the street. He had already written One More Cup of Coffee when he met Scarlet and she surprisingly incarnated the subject of the song, the gypsy fair lady towards whom the speaker of the poem has the most unrequited love.
Your breath is sweet, your eyes are like two jewels in the sky
Your back is straight, your hair is smooth on the pillow where you lie
But I don't sense affection, no gratitude or love
Your loyalty is not to me but to the stars above
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
    To the valley below
Your daddy, he's an outlaw and a wanderer by trade
He'll teach you how to pick and choose, and how to throw the blade
He oversees his kingdom, so no stranger does intrude
His voice, it trembles as he calls out for another plate of food
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
    To the valley below
Your sister sees the future like your mama and yourself
You've never learned to read or write, there's no books upon your shelf
And your pleasure knows no limits, your voice is like a meadow lark
But your heart is like an ocean, mysterious and dark
One more cup of coffee for the road
One more cup of coffee 'fore I go
    To the valley below
