Great to hear that the John Deere will be out of the wet winter weather for now. I still like the tractor pull idea, but don't hold out much hope either. The only thing I can come up with is to rent a pair of 30 ton snatch blocks and matching cable (if anyone rents such a beast). That would multiply pulling power X 4.
31 or so horsepower doesn’t have a lot of grunt. The shear size and huge wheels help with the torque. Also a small fact, these 2 cylinder tractors have almost no loss of power through drive train due to the layout...think about it...just all big ring gears. A lot of people think these can pull a lot...for the age yes, however the newer tractors have them beat easily You will have to take smaller bites. The clutch.... Buy yourself a couple of new discs They’re cheap. Buy them from John Deere they’re not much. Yes there are two. It’s very easy to take apart. It’s one of the charming things about this tractor. You don’t have to split the tractor in half to change the clutch. There is a cover that goes over the top of that if you don’t have it. A lot of them were lost. I can’t remember if I saw one on your last video. And yes you just tighten those three or however many I can’t remember nuts up to tighten the clutch. It should snap in place when you push the lever forward. Please be careful with this. If you get a load on this tractor it will wheelie. And you will be desperately trying to grab the clutch lever. It’s really easy to get killed on one of these. It’s a good idea to have one of those automatic shut off‘s snowmobile’s use, as well as JetSki’s. If you fall off the machine shuts off. There is a lug on the outside of your magneto, that if you ground it. It will shut the tractor off. You could use that. Just a suggestion.
You gave it a good try and the old john deere A did a good job the is just a little more tougher then I though it is sad to see it being torn down but with all the mold and other problems I think your on the right track and I enjoyed the video merry christmas
Contact a local fire department and see if they want to set it on fire and practice their skills. You might have to tear off the old shingles, etc. Or, "Holy crap! Someone must have dropped a cigarette in my old house! Damn!!".
Hi well if you dont succeed at first try try again take chain saw cut holes about every 5ft apart from the out side in so you can loop cable through 5 ft sections small bites would be easier on tractor. You can cut holes from inside also best is cut hole between 2x4 . So have all holes done then start pulling each section. It will fall down. Hope this give you idea more and I'm explain enough if not how can I call you. Great video thanks
@@HumbleAcres Hi was just thinking why dont you make a video of burning the old house down. Would be interesting thinking safer also. Have a good night.
Yep. They certainly don't build houses like they used to. That's for certain. Everything they make these days is flimsy enough that it's almost able to be demolished with nothing but bare hands. Those old houses were built solid like fortresses. Really sucks that houses aren't built this well anymore. They don't go down without a fight, and definitely stand up better to hurricanes, that's for sure. These newer houses are weaker, and much more likely to blow down and fall apart in a storm. I think today's builders should take notes from how these old fortresses were built and how much harder they are to bring down, and especially apply in Storm proned areas. Just my thoughts.
My first thoughts when I learned you were removing the old house was call the fire dept. and let them burn it down as an exorcise. Firemen are like one step away from a pyro (I can say that as my father-n-law was one) and it is a good training exorcise. That, however, was before you did your renovations, however. I do not think they would get much out of it now and they would not deem it safe to enter. I would push it in and light it up. We did that with an old barn that collapsed. I did that in the winter, made sure I had proper permits, and I called local sheriff so they knew what I was up to. Our place is visable from an interstate a half mile away and sure enough they got calls. Anyway, my 2 cents. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Stay safe!
Can you try to pull it down on the other side with the John Deere A or maybe push the sides in with the international tractor otherwise if that doesn’t work ask diesel Creek on RUclips and he’ll come and knock it down for you
Just ask him what was wrong with the home it seems like it was a pretty nice house other than those ceiling fans that are warped but other than that the house seems pretty nice why would you guys demolish it it's too bad it's gone now but that seems like a nice house it happens to a lot of good houses it's pretty sad
Was about to say ..before I saw this.. The house looked worth a remodel *BEFORE* ..but look ..(legally) : edited this part because I don't want to give you a recipe that may get you hurt.. *thinking of needs SAFETY FIRST* ask a demolition expert if they can help with a small amount of Dyno or TNT and make sure the authorities consent before doing so. 5inches dyno the size of a broom handle with a very large wick should do the *trick* half that if TNT with nite glycerine added ..in any case be safe..and bro I'm not bagging on you but please don't be stupid enough to hang out under a building like that..that 1 board in the middle is *really* holding that building up. If it had popped while you were in there ..it would have been a major accident ..(please don't do that again)
You are using equipment and you have no idea how to maintain it. Adjusting the clutch on the John Deere A is simple and it you took the nuts all the way off on the clutch adjustment and removed the clutch face plate; gonna stop here. Paste this URL in your browser: www.google.com/search?q=john+deere+a+clutch+diagram&oq=John+Deere+A+clutch&aqs=chrome.3.0i457j0l7.16970j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8. It shows you everything you need to know and there are replacement parts for the clutch. Very simple really,

That was fun
Just got my model A a couple of days ago and starting to work on it
That thing is built like Hitler's bunker! I was afraid you would have this problem. An excavator is a really good idea. Great video!👍👍👍
That house was pretty nice .

Well you tried! only thing I can think of would be to get the corners pulled out. also need to work all the way around the structure. youll get it!
The addition on back will make it much harder to pull over just the shape of it and the attachment will make the house a lot stronger
Instablaster.
Yep,those nuts that you see on the outside of the clutch pulley needs to be tightened until it makes a snap sound when you engage the clutch lever.
Looks like fun.
Fun to watch !!!
Might want to go to seiner and order a operator’s manual just make sure that you get the serial number from your tractor 👍
Goot - good try and the tractor sounds great. Sorry about the old nail in the foot problem ... I won't mention the flip flops! LOL!
Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏻
I would have gone straight to the basement pull those supports instead

Who's old house
Whats the story on the truck parked by the house?
I have a video on it that tells about it. ruclips.net/video/knwWWSWRTc0/видео.html
@@HumbleAcres have you done anything else to it?
@@rydorheller876 Nope still just sitting there.
Want me to bring a 5ton 6x6? I have a 300+ foot 1/2" crane cable you can borrow too.
That sounds amazing and yes let’s talk!
A big excavator will finish the job in a few minutes.

The fire department doesn't want to burn it, that was the first thing I tried. I also have a barn to do the same thing to. Thanks
@@HumbleAcres I am shocked. Those guys usually can't say no to burning down anything. At least the volunteer fireman up here in Wisc. Lol
@@HumbleAcres google local barn wood salvage co. They will pay you for the barn wood.🎅🎄😷🇺🇸👍
Why are you taking the house down? IT looks like a good stirdy house to me before you cut the walls out could have fixed it up.
Its worst then it appears.
You should have saved it.
Open the idle screw in that thing a quarter turn
Why would you take down that great old house?
Bit sad to see nice old farm houses being taken down. Good try.
I agree. If it were in better shape I would have kept it.
How about using tnt!
Never heared the word dynamite?
Ask demolition ranch on RUclips he might do it for you.
I have thought of trying something like that.
Becareful with nail in foot. Very painful

I don't want to use the international because I don't want to be that close.
Make sure you don't get any guests in the home

Except for the black mold, holes in the roof, animal infestation and sinking foundation it was a great house.

Next time use Tannerite.
That would be a lot of fun.
Just like pulling a tree over you need to pull higher up
Also the opposite side walls need to be weakened
5 gallons of gas& a lit match drink some beer& burn it
I'd just set a fire in the middle of it and let it burn until it collapsed in on itself🤣
I did that in another video
All you're trying to do is useless you need to get to the outside walls or the supporting walls where the gutters are in
You are probably right considering it is still standing.
Could you have just Burned it down?
