    I love the weighed-down stretched look of the product load. It makes for easy manipulation. Thanks. You've taught me something new. It makes your hair look like that of the Chad "Chebe" women. I thought they had a loose curl pattern but that straight look is actually from the butters they apply. Amazing. 🤗I never knew that heavy product application could actually straighten our hair type. Imagine using that instead of heat. No wonder Somalis and Ethiopians slather their hair with cow butter. I mean SLATHER it down.

    Coily, you are a wealth of knowledge to the hair care community for any hair type. I appreciate your consistency and look forward to your videos and shorts. Thank you for sharing all you do. I have also incorporated glycerin and Shea butter. I had no idea my hair loved it until I tried it. My hair is growing, soft, shiny. Love it!

    I've seen a few people saying they've gone back to their childhood routine, as well as some stylists saying, well your kids' hair is growing, why not do the same routine on yourself? And it makes sense!
    Your braids look nice and stretched. ❤

    I'm so excited to see how this works as an alternative to regularly moisturising/hydrating. My hair is fine density and fine strands so I may try this gradually if it works for you sis. So grateful for all your videos ❤

    Excited for this!! I recently became a twisted natural (thanks to you❤) and overcome my growth plateau but I noticed that with frequent moisturising and washing my twists would look good for like 4 weeks max and after that I'd have to start wearing a wig on top...but that made me start feeling uncomfortable going out with my natural hair even after a retwist cause I'd feel like it's "not done" and I'd want to wear a wig and I personally don't like that feeling. I wish my twists wouldn't get so tangled and frizzy so soon and I could wear them out longer
    Can't wait to see how you'll maintain your protective style without washing or using water based products...it's literally like you saw my struggle 😂😂 (secretly hoping the protective style is twists)

    Girl, I’m with you on overkill with product. I layer my plaits with an herbal tea spritz, coil cream, castor oil and my herbal shea butter. My hair loves it!! I’m looking forward to seeing how you like not rewetting your strands with any kind of liquid. 😊

    Thanks for sharing and demonstrating how you preserve your blowout. I agree that it's beneficial to be very generous with product. Your hair definitely looks very moisturized and stretched. I have 2 questions:
    (1) If someone doesn't have shea butter on hand, what would you recommend as an alternative?
    (2) I know in this video, you mentioned that you use the melanin leave in conditioner to moisturize. But can you recommend any other leave ins or oil based moisturizers that won't cause the hair to revert back?
    Thank you in advance and have a great day.

    • @CoilyDiaries
      @CoilyDiaries  27 дней назад +2

      any kind of butter or heavy oil will help as long as it’s oil based. some people use grease if that’s an option for you. with regards to leave ins, any water based product used in large amounts will revert the hair. so the key is to use every little or opt for a moisturiser rather than a leave in

  • @Amashaven

    How many layers of hair covering do you use to prevent the oil and butter from your pillows?

    • @CoilyDiaries
      @CoilyDiaries  27 дней назад +2

      I have done a video on this but two layers on the head do for the first couple of days. after a while the hair drinks up the products. Also, the hair is supposed to be going into a protective style so it’s a non issue considering

  • @Gen1Bmw
    @Gen1Bmw 27 дней назад

    Youre using a brush ... You and I don't use hair tools LOL. I can't use hair tools because my mature hair is now of thin density. I take long term medication and I'm post menopausal. Hair tools break my vulnerable strands. So it's finger detangling and finger manipulation only if I want my hair to grow. My hair loves heavy moisture like butter grease and loads of it. I just have to watch my facial acne which is triggered by grease.

      Great points! No combs definitely the answer for aggressive length! Am almost done with my crazy experimental era 🙈
