Thank you for always going above and beyond to provide incredibly in-depth information for whatever products you review. I've been able to make more well-informed purchasing decisions thanks to your reviews. Honestly refreshing to not have to sift through a bunch of BS.
Jade airs feel significantly better on glass for me. They seem to be resistant to the grainy feeling of microparticles, and glide very smoothly with practically zero static friction. The sets you have showed off in the video seem to glide more harshly, though (similar to the original jades.) When recording the glide with my MKE600s, the hvac is just as audible at around -50 lufs. Also might be worth mentioning, but the issue with skates peeling from adhesive is persistent for me across pretty much all xray-pad skates (I haven't checked any of the airs' yet,) I've never been of the mind that they were reusable because it's always on the mouse, be it the obsidians, obsidian pros, donuts, dots, jades, etc. I suppose it more likely depends on how long the skate has been used, and in what environment.
@@drahsid2 I think they're only available from OEM manufacturers at the moment. As the name implies they have a honeycomb-shaped uniform finish that imo is noisier but also feels air-ier.
I use the mini dot centers as skates on my glass pad, and also I also can squish my Obsidian Air donuts to fit my 8.5mm channel. it works well and does not cause any buckling.
my skin is full of goosebumps i hate the scratching sound which one should i get for the best glide and no scratch sound on glass mousepad? Jade Air Dot?
Jade air dots would be the quietest, just make sure to clean your pad and the skates frequently to make sure there's no dust on the skates as that is what will cause the scratchy sounds.
Compared to the full-size skates the Jades will be faster. The Donuts will be faster too but not as fast as the dots, which are pretty much 1:1 with the ice dots. Also its worth noting that the Ice V2's adhesive SUCKS, when I bought a set 60% of the skates included peeled away from the adhesive when I went to install them, with all the Jade skates I've never had installation issues.
I haven't used the Cyclones myself but I'll hopefully be covering them soon, when I do I'll do some comparisons to the Jades as well as the rest of X-RayPad skates
@@W4NN1 If you want control go for the Obsidians, speed go for the jades! You might be able to use dots on the mid too if you want a slightly faster experience.
Technically speaking the non-air jades are every so slightly faster, but we're talking a difference of ~1% or less. Bette to go with the airs for the better re-usability and quieter experience on glass. But if speed is what you want from a skate keep an eye out for X-RayPad's next skate release 👀
@@mel0nFPS the first thing I noticed was how loud they were. I'm still using the XXL Neptune I bought (using code mel0n) and feel they're slower than my tiger ice dots, though I haven't played much on them yet. May have to get these new jades!
Hmm. I actually cant agree with you in terms of speed\control section. I found jade air significally easy to control on my Artisan Hayate Otsu Mid and Raiden Mid. I must say, i tested obsidian, jade and jade air and xraypad images with stars for speed\control pretty accurate. Jade air for hair slower than regular Jades. Just for a little. But with added a hair of control. Jade air now ideal dots for me. Even better than full size skates in terms of speed\control. They are so so easy to start but also easy to stop\control. I think its wrong positioning jade -for cloth, jade air - for hardpad. No, on cloth Jade Air have the same speed\control differences from regular Jades. P.s. May be we have so different opinion because i found my ideal amount of dots is 10-12. May be with 4-8 dots differences not so noticeable.

Love how in depth you go for all your reviews. Its really appreciated!

Thank you for your insight. Feel is my priority and I'm curious to see the difference these will have on honeycomb-mesh glass pads.
@@JillpapI I'm not familiar with those pads. I have the Skypad 4 and 3 for glass. The rest of my pads are cloth ones from Artisan, fnatic, and ltt.

Hey, Do the squished donuts still fit?
Also, did you try it with obsidian skates?
They do but the more you squish the more they will deform. I only had to squish them less than a mm.
Do you think jade air with an artisan zero is good ? I really dislike the friction of the viper v3 pro because of the skates
They'll feel much faster than the V3's stock, just make sure you get the donuts if you're using a soft or x-soft pad, the dots will be fine.
Melon, I wanna use those skates on razer strider (rough surface). Which one do you recommend, dot or donut?
I'd go donuts. I found the dots to be kinda rough on the Strider, the larger surface area of the donuts prevented that rough feeling significantly.

do the jade air feel dierent than regular jades on a textured mousepad because of the foam???
Nope, they feel 1:1 from my testing!
Commenting for your algorithm. Another detailed, amazing review.
Keep it up!
Appreciate it ✌
How jade airs are compared to cyclones in terms of static friction, noise and durability?
I haven't used the Cyclones myself but I'll hopefully be covering them soon, when I do I'll do some comparisons to the Jades as well as the rest of X-RayPad skates
@mel0nFPS thank you very much! Waiting for review:)
which of the donut skates do you recommend for Artisan Raiden?
Soft or firm?

Would they work on the infinitymice shogun?
The donuts will no problem!
Usable with a Pulsat Xlite V3 mini ?
The dots should fit no problem, the donuts are slight too large for the bottom skate cutout sadly so I'd stick with the dots.
I just got some Plastix dots to try today, but these are really piquing my interest!
Plastix are solid on glass but they're loud af, Air series skates are MUCH quieter

all jade airs are permanently out of stock :((( bruh its been like a month, nice review doe

I hope the Jade Air isn't faster by too much - compare to the Obsidian Air, that would be great!
They're 1:1 for the most part! If you use a bunch of dots you might notice a little more control, but it's a VERY slight amount.
