Nice work, Will. I don't think I've ever seen a speeder wrench used on RUclips! Another channel I watch recently did the same job on a Kia Sorento with a crack in the exact same place. Those oil pans must be made as poorly as the rest of the car.
It’s old school for sure, roots run deep and some of my tools show it 😂 that’s all we would use back in the day on small block Chevy valve covers and oil pans. This helped calibrate the elbow hahaha click click perfect. No special tool required. That’s really something with that crack showing up on multiple cars! That’s not a good sign for Kia
Excellent work enjoyed CHEERS THANKS WILL
@@anthonysova7117 thank you for the compliment
Will , what about if oil consumption problem will stay after replacing the PCV? First thing i would do for the lady is find if the leakage it's from the rings or it's the valve seals or guides. If it's the valve guides or seals definitely repair.🤷
@@petar443 good recommendations, I haven’t heard back yet. I’ll give her some time and touch base soon
Hello Will,
Did she hit something underneath that fractured her oil pan?
Did she have an explanation for the pan damage ? Great video also sir!
@@davedeatherage4902 hey Dave, I didn’t see any signs of impact in the area of the crack. That’s the odd part and all the under covers were on the car and intact as well… another viewer mentioned that there’s a video that someone just released with almost the same exact crack on a deferent Kia
I thought I was the only guy around still using a speeder handle. Thanks will.
@@ManicMechanic007 old habits are not necessarily bad habits 😉☝️
7:27 Why do you put silicone on these two spots ? Is this where timing cover meets the block ?
@@petar443 exactly there’s two spots that may go a little deeper where the two meet up. Just to be safe give her a little dab on each spot
Another excellent video 👍 👍
@@petergarofolo9385 thank you 😊

@@jamesbruno5896 one of the best transmissions ever made. I had a M22 in my Camaro back when I was somehow able to have fun lol I’m working towards that life style again 😁 nearly everyone I took for a ride thought there was a bunch of rocks in the tranny, those straight cut gears were so noisy. i hated it at the time but wish I had it today
