+XFiZZerX It's called a reaction for a reason. People spend a lot of time, week to week, emotionally connecting to different characters on a TV show. After that certain character gets killed, especially a fan favorite and just like this, at the very end of the season, it is bound to cause some momentarily shock, I think you're exaggerating when you're mentioning therapy just like that.

It's amazing how much we can get invested in fictional characters, so well-drawn and acted, that they can bring out such immense sadness or joy when something happens to them.

Dude, the Red Wedding hit me like a train in the books, but Jon Snow's initial death got me good.
I can't even remember my reaction to the red wedding, I think I just sat there in awe not moving when the screen cut to the credits. But I remember my reaction to Jon's death very well. My heart dropped I had my mouth open for a silent scream and didn't move until the scene was done and the credits rolled. then me and my brother sat there motionless for a good 5 minutes until I dropped back in my seat and the first words spoken after 10 minutes of silence were "whuaaaaat...." we couldn't phathom that THE last remaining hero of the show (on the starks side, not to offend Arya and Sansa fans but come on Jon is the boss) was killed off as well. We didn't know who should actually save the 7 kingodms from the Lannister madness and fight off the white walkers. Sure Dany was still there too but it seemed impossible without JOn. I spent the next hour rage posting in forums and fanboards. joining communities like "FuckOlly" and shit. I was never so traumatized by a characters death.

I love the hilarious contrast between everyone speechless and crying in the first scene to everyone getting up and cheering in the second one! Just goes to show death in Game of Thrones can be sadness and happiness!
i didn't even cry for these deaths i just stood there in shock, the only one i ever cried for was ned's, it was basically just the first one of many to come lmao now i know that my faves could die any moment
One of my proudest moments watching the show was when Hodor was holding the door shut and the exact moment Meera spoke that single line “hold the door!” I turned to my family who were like “oh no what’s happening?” And I was like “HOLD THE DOOR!!!” whilst Meera was still yelling it. And I kept yelling it at them and they suddenly went from 😒 to 😟🤯 because they figured it out. Was a great moment in the series. I’d love to see reaction shots of that scene.
I love how it shows the union in the GoT community, I mean in all the reactions because of our deep love for many charcaters and for the whole serie

Even after such a horrific episode, it remains one of the most awesome and shocking scenes due to awesome script. This is how you satisfy the audience even if it is not an ending that they would like.
A remake of the season 8 with more detailed episodes could do more justice to GOT series

I don’t get sad when a good character dies in battle as long as it’s with honor and wholesome. But the way Rob died and how he was so demeaned really got me. Can’t stand when they are given such shitty send-offs.
His death was great, unexpected, they got realistic deaths, not as “heroes” and honorable deaths, even Jon snow and Joffrey, ned stark, Robert Baratheon was killed by a bear lol. The deaths in this show are unpredictable and different from all other shows which makes it 10x better
for the watch was my fave scene in the whole series

The red wedding was cast during a time when GOT was practically at its peak, with basically everyone being invested in the Starks. I don't think there's a single death in this show that compares as far as emotional value is concerned.
