So we line the wall with tarp then pull it over the pile when we cover. So that would seal the sides. Then we put another cover over the whole pile and have some cover hanging over the bunker wall that completely protects the pile. If that makes sense. When we cover the corn silage pile this Fall I'll have to do a video on that. Good question
Believe it or not we actually have a Degelman blade. The way the frame on that thing hangs down it really drags a lot backwards when we back up. Makes a mess a things like hydraulic lines. It’s a lot for the loader but it can really handle more than the blade
Great video Ashlyn and Tony I really enjoyed watching you load the trucks and slow and steady wins the race and not wide open and have something tear up and you have to shut down for repair 👍🇺🇸🇺🇦
Wow! The sound insulation of the Jaguar is impressive. Often when watching Farming Fixing & Fabricating chopping with the John Deere 8000 you won't hear much of his voice I know it's due to a bunch of factors, but you can vlog while chopping without losing much in communication compared to JD's insulation. I hope more videos will come out in this format, quite different and unique to say at least. Outstanding job as usual!
Great video guys. Always enjoy chopping & packing videos.
It is quite a dance when packing the pit. Thanks Tony and Ashland for sharing your farm lives and process.
is the rain water not getting in the silage if the walls are higher than the silage edge ?

Another awesome video as always can’t wait for the next one
👍
That has to be hard on that loader to push all that feed !! U need a new style push blade on that bad boy !!

Thanks and that is interesting.
When packing silage, you probably don't want excitement! Those piles can be unstable
23 ton/acre = your moisture content way too high. Blessings
That's a crazy number to get 🤣
